Chapter 37 My mind is changed

Alex was running behind Clara since morning but she seemed to avoid him to piss him off completely.

"They will think that you have fallen in love. Have some pride and leave me" Clara spoke with a teasing smile. It's fun to tease Alex when he is this grumpy. She for once started to live like a normal Clara whom she always dreamt to live with.

"I just wanted to tell you something" Alex spoke, looking around to make sure if anyone was there or not.

"Can you leave my hand and tell me what is it?" Clara asked, struggling off her hands from his clutch.

"Don't just tell anyone what happened yesterday inside the lift" Alex spoke with a low voice.

"That's difficult. I don't lie." Clara replied, having an innocent face ever. Alex looked at her wide eyed. He didn't expect her to be friendly enough to tease him. That is a new side of Clara.

"But if you insist, I can try," Clara added with a giggle.

"Moreover, I have dignity. I can't tell people about such a shameless act" Clara replied, rolling her eyes. Alex glared at her with so much annoyance. This girl has no filter at all in her mouth and she insults him whenever she gets a chance.

Before Alex could reply to her, someone called him to the other side.

"Such a shameless slut" Elsa commented when she heard their talk.

"Excuse me? The mirror is there." Clara replied with a chuckle, making Elsa glare at her with anger.

"How can someone be so shameless to steal another girl's fiancé and even romance with him in a lift?" Elsa scoffed at Clara.

"If someone is Alex, being shameless is worth it," Clara replied with a wink. She always loves how Elsa turned to a red devil with her replies alone.

"Don't even remind me about lift. You can't even imagine what happened there. I am sure, even though you both were engaged, Alex didn't show his side to you. It was especially for me" Clara added with a proud smile. All the while Elsa just wanted to smash this girl for real. But right now, she needs to act smart and calm just like her grandma so that they can ruin Clara completely.

Red gown is her favourite and she chose the same colour for the last time too. Roselyn touched the silk embroidering as she remembered her times with Sandy Williams.

She looked at her hand and the ring were still there. The ring which he gave her when he proposed to her was still shining on her ring finger. She removed them with so much pain.

"Are you ready, dear?" Sharon asked as she entered the room with a box.

"Yes, aunty" Rose hides her pain behind her smile as Sharon keeps her hand over her head as if she understood her turmoil.

"It's your mom's jewellery." Sharon helped her wear that white diamond necklace and Roselyn looked like an angel. Sharon smiled and kissed her forehead.

"Rose," Clara entered the room suddenly and their expression of Sharon changed into poker once she saw her.

"She is ready now. I didn't think you would come to help her." Sharon mocked her and Clara lowered her head not wanting to reply to this woman.

"Everyone is expecting you down. Let's go" Clara helped Rose to walk and both the girls descended the steps like an absolute fairy in heaven. The guests were surely hypnotized with their beauty. Daniel couldn't help but blush visibly as he wiped the sweat from his forehead to calm down his nervous heart.

"She is just beautiful" everyone commented to Alex for Clara.

"You are lucky" Someone even felt jealous as to how he married Clara. Alex looked at Clara and agreed to them. She was absolutely stunning in everything.

Frank didn't want to make anything grand. He wanted to see Rose happily married and that's it. So, he had invited only a few people for the function.

Alex and Frank stood there in the entrance to welcome guests and they turned chalk with someone present there unexpectedly.

"Wow, no one invited me to this amazing event?" Sandy came inside with a big bouquet, turning their mood off completely. Alex fisted his hand to beat him but Frank stopped him so that the function didn't turn sour.

"Thanks for inviting me," Sandy said to Clara and now everyone turned to her side with anger. Sharon and Elena couldn't hide their smiles as Clara was burning alive with Alex's stares alone.

That's it, the little sympathy Alex had for her vanished into thin air as he stormed towards her swiftly and grabbed her in front of all. Before Frank could control the situation, Alex left for his room with Clara.

"Did you think of me as a joke?" Alex asked as he grabbed her harshly.

"I was just" Her words were cut off by him.

"Just because I tolerate your nonsense every time, it doesn't mean that you can jump

on my head and dance like a devil" He yelled at her as she flinched with the tone alone. She closed her eyes in reflex.

"I didn't ask you to tolerate me. It was you who married me. I didn't die to marry you" Clara yelled at him as she pushed him with force.

"I need no one to tolerate me" She repeated again with so much rage. She is not a psycho to tolerate.

"And one more thing, I didn't invite him. I happened to see him when I left the office. So, I had to tell him that there was a function in our home and that's why I had to leave early." Clara snapped angrily. Alex realized that he ventured out his anger on Clara unnecessarily.

Clara couldn't bear the fact that Alex was blaming her. For the first time, she wanted to not be scared and accept people in life. But right at the moment, Alex proved that it's better not to believe people around her. She looks at him with sadness-filled orbs.

Alex zoomed out without saying anything to her. Right now, the arrival of Sandy to this event is a dangerous one and he doesn't know what he is planning.

Clara sat there with so much happening inside her head.

She looked at her phone screen and widened her eyes with the message there.

"No, no, no." She panicked seeing the content. She hurriedly got up from her couch and looked around to see if anyone was watching her or not.

"He can't come here" She mumbled as she took her purse to leave the place. Sharon looked at Clara and back to Elena to give her the signal about the same.

Rose didn't feel good at all to see Sandy there. She agreed to marry Daniel with so much difficulty but Sandy is in full plan to ruin her life.

Sandy came towards Rose with the bouquet.

"Congratulations for your marriage" Sandy forwarded the bouquet with a smile. Daniel got the flowers and noticed Rose's changed expression. He didn't want to ruin his engagement. But at the same time, he can't ask Sandy to leave the venue. Daniel grabbed Rose's hands to calm her down.

"You should be happy for at least some time before I change my mind to snatch them away" Sandy whispered near her ears, making her freeze. What does it even mean? Sandy was glaring at the interlocked fingers of Rose and Daniel.

"Let's not delay the marriage." Mr. Geller talked to Frank, changing the little awkward moment. They agreed to it instantly.

They started discussing the coming dates as Daniel eyed the DJ to play the music. The entire hall suddenly went to a red colour theme and the light music made them excited.

"Will you marry me?" Daniel asked with a blushing face. Rose looked at him and felt so sorry for him. She can never give the same amount of love which he is showing to her. "Oops" Sandy's voice broke their moment.

"I totally forgot one thing." Sandy spoke as he walked slowly till, he reached Rose and Daniel. The music stopped in between because of his interference. Alex wanted to kill him then and there.

"I forgot that I didn't sign them" Sandy whispered near her ears and the words followed by them were truly a shocking one. Rose widened her eyes as she gasped loudly.

"I told you already to be happy till I change my mind. Now my mind is changed" He added with a smirk as he grabbed her close to him while all gasps around them.
