Chapter 38 He is not just a friend

"I found him and gave Clara's number already" Sharon exclaimed as Elena smirked seeing Clara leaving the home without anyone's notice.

"I couldn't find him. You are really great" Elena complimented Sharon who was hell happy to get such words from her.

"You gave me enough details already. I have connections. So, it was damn easy to track him down." Sharon remembers how she was begging her brother to get this guy's details. Her brother is so good at searching for anyone who even hides for decades. Elena smiled evilly. That guy was a third-class citizen and she never bothered to even know his presence. But now she needs him to get her work done neatly.

Clara reached some restaurant and saw the person she was searching to meet. "Why did you call me here?" Clara asked with so much anger as she had to leave the home in between because of the continuous missed calls from this person.

"I just wanted to meet you personally and" he paused.

"And what Noah?" Clara asked with a venomous tone. She just wanted to smash his face for real.

"To apologize for whatever happened that day" Noah lowered his head and Clara started laughing out loud.

"Don't even bother. You are not even qualified to apologize to me. Get the hell out of my sight" Clara barked at him showing her forefinger.

"Don't you dare blackmail me again? If you want to come to my home, you can come anytime. I won't be scared again." Clara snapped at him again and left the place.

He threatened that he would come to Fernandez's home if she didn't meet him today. Clara is so pissed off to even meet him after years. The day he broke her heart was still fresh. She doesn't make friends often but Noah was the first person she accepted to be friends with after Jason. But her trust was broken completely that night.

Noah looked at the way she went. He didn't want to blackmail her. But he wanted to apologize to her for sure.

"I forgot something." Sandy's words were hell confusing to all. Rose stood there without any movement. The confidence in his eyes is not a joke and she knows that he has something under his sleeve.

"That I have never signed our divorce papers. It was still safe inside my safer" he chuckled at her full red face. That was not possible. Rose knew that he signed them and everything happened on the same day. She even got her copy. As it was mutual consent, they didn't have to check more.

"Don't bother to check your copy in your locker which has the same password till now." His words made her paralyzed. He can't go to that extent, can he?

"So, we are husband and wife till now. I am so sorry Daniel" Sandy faked his sadness as Daniel stood there with the ring in his hand to propose to Rose. He didn't expect this. Daniel felt so humiliated as he looked around.

"You are lying," Rose's voice cracked in between. She knew that he was not the same guy she loved but she couldn't bear the extent to which he could stoop to make her life miserable.

"I wish. But the only thing I didn't know was to tell lies" He has an underlying meaning to his words and as usual Rose didn't think to go deeper into his words as she pushed him hard.

"Get out!" She screamed as she started beating Sandy on his chest. The scene was quite fast and no one could expect such an outburst from Rose who had always been so calm and composed.

"I hate you. I will. kill you" she grabbed his collar as tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably. She slides down holding his collar as she broke down completely. For some moment, Sandy couldn't watch her crying devastated. But again, he was crying like the same for years because of them and the least he can give back is one day of pain.

"Get out before I lose my control" Alex spoke as he gently helped Rose to stand up.

"Why the hell you came back in my life? Why the hell are you like this?" Rose yelled again as she was crying hysterically. The pain in her chest was too much to bear and it exploded with his blow at last.

"Just to replay whatever you gave me" He smirked at Rose who was too bothered to even hear his words.

"Get the hell out of here" Alex screamed as he hugged Rose to calm down.

"Yes of course. My work is finished now. What will I do by staying back?" Sandy laughed and walked to the entrance. Clara stood there completely shocked by the revelation.

Sandy is Rose's husband and Alex's brother-in-law. Damn she didn't even know that Rose was married in the first place. Omg this is more messed up than she could ever imagine.

Alex and Sandy are not just business rivals but have a deep grudge against each other. Should she just resign from her job and stay out of their war?

How can she get tangled between these alpha males? And what the hell are they planning with her? She silently walked and stood there with so many questions inside her head. She already has enough of troubles in her life and why does it have to be her?

The function mode was off and all thanks to Sandy. Alex was drinking his eighth shot and was all in hell anger mode to kill anyone coming his way.

"Don't worry, she will be alright" Sharon was worried for Alex and Rose.

"I will not leave him" Alex is now in full mood to destroy Sandy completely.

"Where were you?" Sharon asked as all looked at Clara in the hall.

"I was here only" Clara didn't want to explain about her and Noah in this messed up time. But Sharon smirked at her knowing well where she was and what she could do with this.

"Let's go to sleep and forget everything" Frank commented to stop the interrogation.

"Please, help him," he asked Clara to help Alex to get to his room. Edward too came to help them. Alex stood up with difficulty. Clara took his right arm while Edward took his left arm.

"Damn, walk straight," Clara yelled when Alex was grabbing her too much to the right side.

"I am straight only. I mean I like beautiful girls" Alex replied and Edward started laughing like a maniac. Clara opened her mouth wider.

"Can't he even handle alcohol?" Clara asked, unbelievable. It seemed he was drunk for the first time.

"He can but today, he is too hurt and doesn't want to be in a dignified manner. So, I gave him some super strong liquor" Edward is so proud of himself. Clara glared at him as if it was something to be proud of.

"Okay, my work is done here." Edward left the place and Clara helped Alex to sleep. Damn he is not even ready to sleep, making her all worried.

"Can you just sleep?" Clara is now fully pissed off. Alex was getting ready to kill Sandy overnight and she was controlling him for half an hour.

"Just one murder." He asked with pouting lips as Clara widened her eyes with his demand.

"Shut up and sleep" She yelled at him as he made a sad pout.

"You can accompany me. We should just press his neck till his breath stops. After that, we shall come back and sleep" Clara is shocked by his demand. He can't be serious right? But drunk men always speak their mind. Is he this dangerous?

"Okay, we can even use the knife, right? Just one slash. He will cough blood and will struggle to breath. How cute will it look? Right?" Alex asked and Clara had no words to reply to this sadist. That was too scary. She gulped visibly and grabbed him so that he doesn't get out.

She made him sit there after so much difficulty.

"I thought my baby sister would finally be happy" Alex's pained voice made Clara sigh tiredly. It's the tenth time he is reciting the same thing.

"He must have bribed and now the divorce papers are gone." Alex gritted his teeth till

his cheeks turned white as chalk. Clara didn't like that it must be her beside him when

he is this emotional. Because she can be of no use at all in times like this.

"Why does he have to be like this?" Alex asked as he collapsed over the floor with a thud. She ran to his side to help him.

"He was not like that when we were together." Alex's words were a whisper. Clara sat beside him and he grabbed her tiny hand with his.

"He used to bear all my temper issues with a smiling face. He used to pamper my sister like a charming prince. He used to be like our" Alex paused as he turned to Clara. Clara was shocked to see tears in his eyes. Seeing Alex break like this is not at all pleasant.

Damn she doesn't even know how to console them. She is not at all used to babysitting anyone like this.

"He is your?" Clara helped him at least to empty his heart so that he might get some weight away from his chest.

"He is like our MOM." He finished his sentence as tears rolled down his cheeks. He pulled Clara suddenly for a hug as he kept his head in the crook of her neck.

"He has taken care of us since we were just 16 years old." Alex added as his sobs got longer than expected.

"Stop crying" Clara didn't know what else can be said in such a situation. But when she said them, he started crying more. She didn't express how shocked she was to realize what Sandy is to him.

"Sandy was not just a friend to me. He was my everything. But how can he betray us like this? The best part is he is happy doing all these to us" Alex is not at all stopping his complaints. Clara got very angry with Sandy after knowing Alex's side of the story. "I don't think you will feel good tomorrow when you come to know that you spoke about these all" Clara replied as Alex grabbed her and looked at her face. "Who are you?" He asked as he touched her cheeks with his forefinger.

"Oh, that split personality sister of my fiancée?" he asked as Clara widened her eyes

with the name, he just gave her. Split personality? Seriously? She gave him a death glare but he is in his own la la land.
