Chapter 45 A pleasant surprise

Nathan who saw something in the phone, enlarged his eyes in realisation.

"Damn" he stood up from his seat and ran towards the cafe near his office. He must have seen that picture of Clara.

"Clara. Are you Fine?" Nathan came running to her side with a towel to help her, already. He didn't notice the person beside her as his concentration was with her state.

"Hey, Clara" He tried to wake her up from the shock but she was too shocked to even react.

"Clara?" Alex called her gently when he pulled her more to his side. Alex got the towel from Nathan, thanking him through his eyes.

Alex wrapped the towel around her and took her inside the office. He noticed her not so perfect walk too. He did realise that in the peak of anger, he pushed her so hard that it hurt her legs too. A pang of guilt passed through his body.

Whenever he gets angry with her attitude, her state makes him melt into puddles. He couldn't help but worry for her. He gently lifted her, startling her. Everyone in the office was in awe of how he cares about her. He didn't care about those rotten things spoiling his dress. He didn't care about anything as his sole thought was about that wound.

Mac already came with a spare dress for her and of course for him.

Clara didn't speak a word as she grabbed the dress and went inside the bathroom.

Tears of humiliation are too much for her to bear. She felt as if she would die with this sole thing. Her skin crawled so much thinking about how easily they insulted her and left the place. They were surely Elsa's followers. She stood in the shower to wash away those insults and heavy feelings.

She touched the white and olive-green dress that Mac got for her from their collection. It looked too classy. She felt so confident when she wore them. The best dress would make you feel powerful.

Clara changed them and came out after calming down her chaotic heart.

For some seconds, all the guys in the room were mesmerized by the looks of Clara. The dress perfectly fits her and now Alex looked at Mac with accusing stares. How can he get the perfect size for his wife?

Her tired and red eyes caught their attention.

"Someone posted lots of photos of yours with many random guys." Nathan explained the cause.

"Elsa's fans are raging in anger as you snatched her life." Nathan felt so sad for Clara. Alex looked at the pictures. It was Jason and Clara in a few clicks, Nathan Clara sharing a coffee. Edward Clara in a mall, even Mac Clara in a very compromising pose and Alex could understand that they were discussing something in the file and the last few pictures are with Sandy and Clara when they were driving her home.

"It's fine. After All I have many Romeos in my life and I deserve such hatred from outside" Clara replied with no expressions. Alex didn't feel good with her remark.

Clara clicked her selfie with a flying kiss as Nathan and Alex looked at her surprised. She posted then in her insta with a caption, my life my rules, thanks for the gift though. Alex felt amused with her way of handling things. The anger he had for her vanished into thin air.

"Can you both leave me? I want to work on my design." Clara literally asked them to get out of her cabin. Now Alex has a big task to console her and make her like before. Has he ever thought that he would run behind anyone for their forgiveness? Hell never. Even Sana never had this power to make Alex do such sort of things.

"Honey" Rose came running inside the office startling everyone. Sandy was shocked beyond imagination. She has never acted like this.

"You didn't wish me good morning?" She pouted cutely and he was hypnotized with her acting in just a second. All he wanted was to grab her by his side.

"I brought you breakfast" She showed the lunch bag as she pulled him.

"Leave me. What nonsense is this?" Sandy asked, gritting his teeth. He hell never expect this drama for sure. It's suffocating him like hell.

"Just wrap an arm around me if you don't want me to kiss any of your employees here." her threat was so real that Sandy was shocked to hear. There is no way she would back off from this.

"By the way, Nathan is still as handsome as when he was in our college" Rose added as she already targeted Nathan to kiss.

"He wouldn't mind though" Rose got away from Sandy's side with the motive to kiss Nathan. It will be only an insult to Sandy. As she is not just Rose now but Mrs Roselyn Sandy Williams. She knew how to play with his ego.

He slowly wrapped his arms around her waist, making her giggle in victory.

"That's like a good boy" Rose gave a flying kiss to him and now it's high time, he should put a full stop to her high drama or else she will win every day frustrating him to another level.

Received so many threats in her messages and so many memes about her being a characterless woman, which made Clara mentally exhausted. She can act bold and say that it doesn't matter to her but the tag was so painful. Jason called her again and again but she didn't want to talk to anyone.

Jason messaged her to stay strong. He even tracked some users who created memes. But it's of no use as it can't help Clara in any way. She is mentally disturbed now.

She was continuously working in her design so that she can take her mind off from these toxic things.

They even posted a picture of Alex with Elsa where Alex was laughing like a Greek God with a caption that his smile is now nowhere seen. Her heart pained to read that. It was fact that Alex never smiled like that with her. Does it mean, she is a curse to him?

She started caring for the fact that Alex might have the same thought. The thought of losing him made her turn vulnerable. She wouldn't be able to do that.

Clara snapped out of her thoughts and was shocked with her imaginations.

"No, nothing matters to me. I am happy if I get to walk away from this so-called home" Clara mumbled to herself but these words pricked her heart. Did she already start enjoying this life?

Alex entered the room right at the moment. She looked at him and she became very angry to change her thoughts. She doesn't want to give in to her soft corner. "Are you okay?" He asked in a low voice.

"There is nothing I can change. It's truth and I am happy now that everyone is calling me with names" Her reply was quite rude and Alex never felt this helpless in his entire life. He doesn't want to make her upset but he made it.

He sat there keeping the mug of coffee over the table for her. She looked at him.

"Have it." he insisted and she has no option to refuse as she didn't have anything since morning. She sat beside him and started taking the sips.

"I didn't want to share anything about my relationship with Sandy. But I guess if you don't know anything, you might never understand my anger." He spoke as she widened her eyes.

Please don't say anything. She was screaming in her mind. She knew that if he opened about anything, she wouldn't have any reason to hate him or show her anger.

Rose and Sandy were stopped midway with the sudden commotion in the reception

area.

"What happened?" Sandy asked as both of them turned to see who came there.

"What a pleasant surprise?" The voice from the entrance made Rose stand with so many expressions. Tears in her eyes with a small smile.
