Chapter 46 Let’s not forget the past

Clara's cabin. "Just a few words," Alex insisted as Clara sat near him with the cup of coffee he offered. He decided to at least let her know something so that she can understand his behaviour.

"I honestly don't want to tell you anything related to me and that guy." Alex starts and the mere mention of that guy is directed to Sandy alone.

"It's not something you can understand overnight" Alex spoke as he sipped his coffee. Just with the mention of his name, Alex had to mentally prepare himself not to break down in front of her. It's more than anyone could imagine.

Flashback:

"If there comes any situation to choose between me and Rose, whom would you choose?" Sandy asked, holding the beer in his hand.

"Rose" Alex replied instantly with a scoff.

"I will choose Sandy" Rose mumbled and hugged him from the backside. Alex smiled at them.

"But I am sorry, I can't think of anyone other than Alex" Sandy's reply made Rose and Alex look at him surprised. It was not like Sandy.

"My dad asked me to choose if I want to stay here with you guys or to go to Austria to look after his company. I refused anything in the latter option. He was angry and left the home. He is not talking with me for days" Sandy opened up as to why he is so dull.

"What is there to be dull? If you have chosen to go to Austria, you should be dull as I would make your life hell if you even try to leave us" Alex got emotional all of a sudden as Sandy pulled him for a hug.

"I don't know but lately I was scared that something is constantly trying to break us" Sandy expressed his fear. He had this thought in various situations but he shrugged them off thinking that it is next to impossible.

Flashback ends.

Clara looked at the hurt in his eyes and wished to wipe those. She shrugged off her thoughts and she looked away wishing to not fall for this man ever.

Alex remembered that scene and wished to say everything to her everything. But revealing those, he would break down for sure and he won't do that. Bottling up those memories inside him is too much nowadays especially when Sandy is back in their lives again.

"He was not just a friend to me." Alex started explaining and Clara felt her eyes teared up. She never felt this type of connection with anyone. His single statement made it clear that he was Sandy's friend. Not just friends.

"I lost my mom when I was just 10 years old. Sandy made sure I never miss my mom.

He takes after me like how my mom used to. He even takes care of Rose." The single sentence has much more weight that Clara could relate to.

"I still can't tell you what made us like this. I have no courage to open up about that incident yet." Alex spoke honestly.

"But I just want to say" Clara looked at him to see what is up to.

"Sorry for talking like that. I didn't mean it" The moment he apologized; she froze. She hell never expected him to say sorry. Her heart melted like anything with his honest apology. Damn, why did she even react so stupidly?

She looked at him blankly, not able to reply to anything or console him.

"We can't be like the lovable couple like others. But we can be at least friends." Alex gave his hand to her side with the hope that she would shake them.

"I hope you mean it when you say sorry. Because next time, I can't promise you that I will not be offended" She stood up instantly. They are very like Clara. Alex smiled as he expected her to be blunt like this only.

"About being friends, I don't think we have spent enough time with each other to be friends." She is firm in her words. Now that her heart feels offended by her words, she feels to punish her heart too. So that it won't get hurt later.

Alex stood up following her with a sigh of relief that she at least forgave him. He shouldn't have said those to her.

"Some parcel for you" The clerk gave the parcel to Clara.

She opened them swiftly expecting the decoration items she ordered for her main dress. A small jump from the box startled her as she jumped in fear of seeing a cockroach attacking her directly.

She screamed in fear seeing the dirty cloth inside and a big ugly doll with her name Clara on its forehead. She turned and grabbed Alex's hands in fear.

Alex was hell mad with how people are so obsessed with their favourite actor or model that they are stooping low to hurt someone innocent like Clara.

"You, okay?" Alex asked as she nodded no as usual. She is even surprised as whenever Alex is around, she doesn't hesitate to let him know that she is not okay. She never did that even with Jason. Did she already fall for this man? She looked at his orbs and felt like hugging him to find safety in his presence.

"Relax." Alex made her sit on the couch as he cleaned the parcel. She was looking at the ugly doll and felt so hurt to see her name on its forehead. She felt her character was as ugly as this doll in everyone's view.

She read the note in that parcel.

"Disgusting girl should be dead" The note was so mean. Clara tore the paper and trashed it instantly.

Alex made a call to his friend to register a complaint about this. It can't be ignored easily. The person can hurt Clara in the future too. He needs to make sure of her safety.

Her forefinger is scratched slightly because of the sharp box. She won't mind but she should complete her embroidery tonight. It would be damn uneasy with this little scratch.

Alex got the first aid box and started applying the cream over her finger, grabbing her arm gently. He plastered the band-aid neatly.

All the while, Clara was just stunned beyond imagination. It's a damn new thing for her to be taken care of. His genuine eyes were full of concern and his care made her fall weak. Her eyes roamed all around his face right from eyes to Adam's apple that goes up and down whenever he gulps.

"Done" He voiced out, snapping her out from her gaze. She mentally slapped herself. "Boss is here" The clerk's voice brought them to reality as Alex looked at him with confused eyes.

"Boss?" Alex is not sure if he meant Sandy or someone else. Clara and Alex left the room to see what was happening there.

"Honey" Rose hugged Sandy who was fisting his hands in anger. He hell never expected her to be this shameless.

"I have invited your friends tonight to celebrate our reunion" Rose spoke with a wink and Sandy knew better that it might be something else.

The sudden commotion made them turn to the entrance where someone stood there with open arms.

Rose was frozen to see him. Sandy also stood there with the same expressions. "Dad" Rose ran to his side and hugged the man with so many emotions. Sandy was chided with the way she called him dad. It's his dad after all.

"Rose, dear. I hope you are fine after all my son did with you" John Williams is too hurt to even voice out whatever he is feeling right now.

"Dad" Sandy mumbled with hurt in his voice. He didn't expect his dad to join hands with the girl who made his life hell.

did a drama to make Rose suffer more, John is hell angry with his son.

"Let's not forget our past." John spoke not to anyone but to Sandy alone and sighed away.

"I have a big announcement to make" John's words were like a puzzle and now Alex too joined the scenery with Clara.

"I have selected the top model for the show. She will be here anytime." John announced them as he checked the time.

The girl entered the premises as everyone's jaw dropped to the ground. Especially Sandy and Alex. Clara is clueless of what is happening there.

Now the words of John made sense.

"Let's not forget our past"

The old man surely knew to add twists in everyone's life. The single decision shocked

them.

"Sana?" Alex mumbled seeing Sana in the office in a very different style. She was not like this before. Her confident eyes, her modern outlook, her perfect style, everything is now so professional and classy. Back then, she was just a simple girl with full of dreams and always enthusiastic about it. Her simple nature always attracted Alex. "Sana?" Sandy mumbled with shock. John has no regret in doing this. Seeing Rose cry for nothing, he had to do this so that his son would stop hurting people just as he

pleased.

"Long time to meet you all" Sana spoke, filling the silent room. Clara heard her name and was wondering where she heard that name before?

"Hope you all get well with each other," John comments and leaves the office as his job

is done there.

Clara widened her eyes remembering the name.

"Sana?" Clara looked at Alex and back at Sana.
