Chapter 73 Do you love him?

Alex and Sandy were dancing, playing, and enjoying themselves like kids. The song and beats made them forget every damn painful thing in their lives so far.

There were several songs to make them dance in this state. Even Clara couldn't control herself from hoping a little. The beats were amazing and she wanted to dance for sure. Should she grab a drink and forget the audience?

When her imagination makes her grab the drink automatically, Jason takes them back instantly with a stern look. She pouted and looked away. Alex came there at that time and he grabbed Clara with him. The thing that shocked Jason was how brightly she smiled when Alex got her away. Is this the same Clara he knew?

He followed them to check more. They were playing games. Now Ananya became a host and she asked everyone to tell a line about whatever she asks for.

"One word about superhero" Ananya asked everyone about Alex now. It can be a line about Alex.

"Angel in our daughter's life" Both Mishka and her husband exclaimed together as Ananya hugged her parents.

"My mom," Rose added as she hugged Alex. The word made her cry a little as Alex kissed her forehead.

"My rainbow" Sana's answer was not at all needed. But her words confused everyone.

"Just like how it comes and makes the climate beautiful, Alex made my life beautiful. But yeah, now my life has no rain at all" Sana mumbled in a low voice. Now Clara felt sidelined all of a sudden. She and her mood swings. She looked at Alex who was in the world of sadness along with Sana.

"It's my turn now" Clara's words grabbed their attention. She didn't like it when they were all affected by Sana's words.

"Alex is my Cheese potato" Her words are the same as her attitude. A weird one. Alex looked at Clara for an explanation but she turned away shrugging off her shoulders. "Useless?" Sandy asked, controlling his laughter. He doesn't like potatoes at all. And this word for Alex looked damn funny to him.

"No," Clara replied instantly.

"I mean. It's a little odd in appearance. But when we eat them, they take us to another world of cheese and softness. Same like Alex. He was a little bossy and rude from appearance. But when we live with him, he shows many flavours and it's hard to ignore his good side at all" Clara said all those glaring exactly at Alex as she was dwelled in emotions. He had brought many things into her life. She has never experienced such happiness before. It won't be a lie that she started loving her life and started looking forward to it.

Jason was just shocked with her words and expressions. He has never expected that Clara can be this poetic. What did he miss?

He grabbed Clara in front of all instantly as he is just so bad at keeping in suspense.

"What?" Clara pushed him as she didn't like how he grabbed her in front of all.

"Do you love him?" Jason asked, staring at her and Clara gulped visibly. She felt like being caught by her dad while cheating on him with her boyfriend before marriage. But wait, Alex is not her boyfriend but husband. She has not done any sin to love him. Did she?

But she has no courage to accept it. Not especially with Jason. She can't tell him. She felt like cheating Jason. Damn she is not even sure why she feels like she has cheated Jason by loving Alex? Did she think that Jason had feelings for her?

Her inner battles were too much for her to contemplate. But Jason was waiting too much for her answer.

"Do you love him?" Jason asked her again, grabbing her arms.

"Listen, Jason. I don't think I gave you a wrong impression earlier. You are my friend and will always be my friend forever." her words confused him like hell.

"It shouldn't be a problem to you if I love him or not" Clara pouted and turned away. Jason widened his eyes about what was cooking inside her tiny brain. She is damn cute whenever she has so much in her brain.

"Don't even think about it" Jason gave a strong slap over her shoulders, making her yelp in pain.

"You are my good friend. I even though you would marry you to save you from that old witch. But it doesn't mean that I love you." Jason replied with a scoff, making her all embarrassed.

"Now tell me. Do you love him?" He asked again, grabbing her to face him.

"Yes" Clara replied instantly and closed her eyes. She he'll never thought that she would feel shy for anything in her life. To admit that she is in love is too much for her to say that aloud. Her cheeks turned pink visibly and she couldn't handle her smile too. Jason pulled her to a hug.

"Finally, my Clara is in love. I can't express how I am feeling right now" Jason spoke as he tightened his hug showing his happiness. Clara smiled in her hug and felt so special to confess this to Jason before. He can be the best person for her to guide about what she should do now.

"Just go and tell him that you love him" He spoke, breaking her monologue.

"Are you stupid?" Clara asked baffled with his suggestion. She hell never would do that for sure.

"Listen, what is the point of hiding?" Jason tried to convince Clara while she just glared at him to stop spouting nonsense.

"He already made clear that for him, there is no place for love or marriage. I don't want to get into his bad books" Clara expressed her fear of rejection.

"Clara, look at me" Jason cupped her cheeks.

"I have always admired you since childhood. The real Clara I knew is a brave girl. She would never mind what other people are thinking. She would do everything easily and live happily. Her smile and laughter always filled people's life with heaven. I really miss her" Jason became all emotional as he has never opened up about this to Clara. He even tried to make Kriya treat Clara so that her fear, insecurities go away and he can get his old Clara back.

"I don't remember myself like that anymore" Clara mumbled with tears in her eyes. She does know how she was earlier with her family. She would always be so matured than her age and have always been a carefree and fun-loving girl. Can she be able to bring that old self again?

"You will change for sure. If not for you, you should change for Alex. I don't know if he is the right guy for you or not. But I am happy that you are in love. And I will make sure he becomes the right guy for you" Jason spoke, kissing her forehead all emotional. Jason mentally noted to follow Alex to see if he is really a nice guy or not. For him, he trusts Clara so much and he knew that if she fell for Alex, he must be a gem of a person.

"What are you doing here? Come with me" Ananya grabbed Clara and Jason to join them again.

Clara and Ananya reached there and everyone was still playing that game. Now the atmosphere thickened when everyone was about to talk about Sandy.

"My partner in crime. He always matches me in everything" Ananya jumped enthusiastically recalling every naughtiness they did together.

Other than their family, no one said anything about Sandy. A sad chuckle passed his lips and Clara felt too bad for Sandy. She wanted to help him at any cost.

"A good human being. A good companion. My new sibling" Clara didn't regret her words at all until her eyes left with Alex who was not pleased with the words she chose. Sandy was really surprised by her terms. He didn't waste another second of time to pull her for a side hug. Roselyn though didn't like how Clara mentioned Sandy, she was happy to see him smiling. He was too lonely being surrounded by them.

Alex felt stupid to even enjoy himself around this guy who had snatched his happiness. This little game brought them back to reality.

Alex left the place instantly, making Clara startled with his harshness. It surely sent shivers down her spine. It would be another fight with him for sure. Clara wanted to not fight with him and wished to talk with him in a calm mindset. But she knew better that both herself and Alex are not the type to act patiently when they are angry. It will be a mess for sure. Both won't control their mouths and it would hurt both.

Sighing tiredly, she followed Alex expecting a volcano already.
