Chapter 76 Suffocation

Sandy got away from her side and was hell angry with himself to melt down like that. Rose on the other hand had so much confusion. She wanted to talk with him and ask him about many things but she is not sure if he is the same as Sandy or not. The person in front of him is pure evil when it comes to making her cry. She doesn't want to cry again with his harshness. It's better she would find those answers herself. Her detective mind was switched on automatically and she was starting to pay attention to Sandy itself. His every expression, his mood swings, and most importantly if he even means those things he says. She will find them on her own.

"Guess you can't hold yourself when I call you Sunny, right." Rose laughed loudly, erasing the little embarrassing moment between them.

"I know it's difficult to ignore such beauty. But you should try" Rose whispered near his ears as he fisted his hands in anger.

"Of course, it's difficult to ignore a beautiful girl. But if we look through her eyes, it's damn easy to walk past her realizing her black heart" Sandy replied harshly and left the place leaving her sad. His words and actions hurt so much and she could no longer hide her sadness like a pro. Damn, she is a normal girl with so many sentiments and how can she act all bold?

Sandy stood behind a bush and closed his eyes in frustration. Why did he fall weak Infront of her? He knew that Rose is not like those brave and independent girls. He even knew that if she ever came to know the truth, she would give up her life. He is scared to even reveal the truth now.

Clara was screaming and jumping around Jason and Alex who stood there all exhausted.

"Stop screaming and come with me. I will give you" Jason's words made Alex madder while Clara jumped in happiness to get it at last.

"I will handle her myself. You can leave" Alex came in between them and grabbed Clara

to his side while Jason could only smirk at him. Alex and his jealousy are too cute to watch. Maybe he can try to add little more jealousy to his heart, right?

"I will only come if you give me a French kiss" Clara was singing the same and everyone joined the scene, startled to hear such demand.

"Who will give me?" Clara asked again, glaring at the audience and her face beamed seeing Sandy. Alex fisted his hands seeing her reactions for Sandy. Will she ask him?

"Except my brother" Clara beamed happily and that was like giving a hot slap to Alex again. He didn't like how she pointed him out as her brother? But she didn't ask him for a French kiss.

"Don't embarrass yourself by staying with this girl. She will surely create a huge scene here." Alex pushed Clara to Sandy's side and left the place not able to control his anger. Jason sighed tiredly seeing how his little attempt to unite them failed and the reason was Clara herself. This girl is herself an atom bomb.

"Jason. You promised me that you would give me" Clara asked Jason as he felt all pairs of judging glares towards him. Is this even important to mention? Now Sandy stood there crossing his arms as if he would protect his new sister from everyone who all could cause her pain.

"Come" Jason grabbed her inside the home followed by everyone. Everyone is curious to see how he will give her a French kiss and that too in front of her husband. Alex was sitting on the couch to see the drama with his gritted teeth.

"What is this?" Jason asked her, showing her French fries.

"French fries" Clara beamed happily.

"Now this?" Jason broke them in half and the audience was like they were sitting in a magic show.

"French" Clara replied with a pout "And here is a kiss" Jason gave her kisses chocolate and Rose started laughing out loud. Sandy and Alex looked at her and gaped. What's funny to laugh at? Clara too joined the laugh as she hugged Jason.

"But wait for a second, you were about to give this drink to Alex. Why the hell did you drink them yourself?" Jason asked, suddenly grabbing her away from his side. Alex stood up in shock and Jason closed his eyes in reflex realizing his mistake. He often loses his control over his mouth whenever he is with Clara. Such a bad influence.

"Why did you want to spike my drink?" Alex asked once he was alone with Clara. She sat there closing her mouth with her finger like an obedient kid. She blinked her eyes and stood up to walk to his side in her not-so-stable walk.

"Because you were too cute when you were drunk," she said, drawing patterns in his cheeks and making him flush with her words.

"But it's not the single reason" She added as she took a deep breath to open up about something more.

"I was so small. Elsa complained to my dad that I hurt her using an iron box" Clara mumbled in her low voice as she kept her head over his shoulder. Alex didn't disturb her as he wanted to know about her.

"He punished me by locking me in a dark room. I was screaming the whole night that I didn't do it." Clara closed her eyes to release her tears.

"No one believed me. No one listened to my words" She added as she snuggled into his arms to wipe her tears. Alex was shocked to hear this. Till now he just thought that Clara was different and she couldn't accept them as her family. But he has no idea that she would have faced such dark childhood memories. That was too much for a small girl to bear.

"Sometimes, you need to believe a person's words more than any evidence. I know the pain when we are framed for something and we would be unable to prove ourselves. Trust me, it is like suffocating to death" Her low gibberish words made him all shocked. The sole reason she sided with Sandy is she could relate to his trauma. "Just ask him about that incident again. At least for yourself, you should ask it. You shouldn't be fooled by anyone. Just ask it for one time" Clara cupped his cheeks as she said those. Alex went blank with her words and gesture. This girl is showing many Flavors and it's too hard to resist her. How can she make Alex dance as per the tune? Alex couldn't do anything against her wish.

"Please?" She asked with her doe eyes which were swollen because of tears.

"Now sleep" Alex grabbed her to make her sleep. He doesn't want to drag the conversation. She has the power to make him change his decision. He is not even sure of himself now. This girl is changing him to a very different level.

"Please don't fight with me. I don't want to fight with you" She hugged him suddenly, expressing her vulnerable state, startling him.

"I finally started to believe that you are my friend next to Jason. I don't want to get betrayed" She mumbled in her not-so-stable voice and Alex felt so proud all of a sudden. The mighty Clara was so cute when she was opening up about her fear and everything. He felt special that she chose him to open up. He gently stroked her hair to make her relax.

"I am sorry that I fought with you," Alex said as he was still stroking her hair. She smiled through her tears. She was a little sober now that the effect of that alcohol is not so strong. But she liked to be in his arms more. She wanted to tell everything to him. She even wanted to tell him now she loves him damn too much. But her mind was constantly alerting her by reminding all those betrayals she has gotten so far from all those whom she thought were her friends.

She should just let this go as per the flow and see if he is the right person or not.
