Chapter 88 A real prince

Flashback:

"Miss Stefen." the small Clara called her caretaker for the first time in her two-month service. Miss Stefen was very happy to get the small girl to talk to her.

"Thanks for the food." Clara mumbled with a small smile. A smile of hope to get someone on her side to complain about all those atrocities happening around her. The polite nature of Stefen made the girl love her naturally and Clara can't stay away from the caretaker anymore.

Just like that both of them grew closer and Clara found happiness near her. She always seeks her support in everything and even started disclosing everything about Elena and her tortures.

"Who did this?" Ron yelled at everyone when he saw his file has been torn. Elsa trembled visibly and Elena knew exactly who did this.

"It was Clara" Clara was shocked with the accusations and the most shocking was from Miss.Stefen. The first betrayal from her closed ones. The tears rolled down because of backstabbing. She hell never expected her to go against her. But when she saw Miss.Stefen smiling at Elena, she knew that instant that no one would stay loyal to her. It would always be Elena's play at the end of the day.

Ron slapped her hard on her cheeks without even minding that she is still a small girl. The file was important to him and he can't tolerate anyone playing with his things. More than the slap, Clara is hurt with the fate she was having. She lowered her eyes and never wished to see anyone around her.

Flashback ends.

Clara could feel the same betrayal now that she stood before Kriya. Her doctor. Clara started opening up about everything with Kriya and started trusting her. But now when she is standing beside Elena with her, made her blood flow stop at the moment and Clara didn't even blink her eyes.

"She is suffering from the first stage of psychosis. It's usually harmless as she has some hallucinations alone. But if we let it go untreated, her condition can worsen" Kriya's words are not at all a shocker to Clara who now was expecting more from her. She stood there with no movements.

"She expressed many things during her sessions. When I cross checked them, 99% of them are her imagination alone." Alex was shocked to hear this from the doctor. He looked at his wife who had no reaction at all. She stood there like a corpse.

"She is aware of her condition. But not accepting the fact." Kriya added and not even once she had an eye contact with Clara who was just glaring at her without blinking. "And about Alina. She was over protective about her sister and she is thinking that someone is trying to harm her sister. I talked with her grandmother about it and she was so sad hearing this" Kriya was going on about her reports about Clara.

"it's advisable to let her get admitted before her condition worsens" The final blow from Kriya's side was too much for Clara to not react. She stormed before her and slapped her harshly right across her face, startling everyone. Elena smirked as if she expected this only.

"Get out" Clara screamed at the lady while Grace tried to calm down Clara.

"Get out before I kill you" Clara screamed out of her lungs.

Alex stepped in at the right time and grabbed Clara by her shoulders.

"Relax. Relax" He stroked her hair and the look on his face made her relaxed a bit. She

is at the right spot again but she expects that Alex would stand by her side like the last time.

"We won't judge you for anything" His words made her freeze to the spot. He did believe all those. There is no way they could trust Clara now. Clara too knew that.

"We won't burden you more. We will take our daughter and leave." Elena tried her luck now at the sensitive spot while Clara was just staring at Alex to read his thoughts.

"Thanks, but no thanks" Alex was firm with his words as he looked at Elena with a powerful stare to shut her mouth.

"I am capable of treating my wife. I can take care of her. No need to worry about her" Alex spoke in a calm tone and Clara couldn't control her tears now. He did let her down by trusting their words but she felt special by his words. Alex is surely a prince charming in her life.

"Alina will stay with us then." Elena replied coldly and turned her heels back to the entrance. Edward ran to her side instantly.

"No. I will take care of her. Please." Edwards begged Elena but she was in no mood to even reply to Edward.

"Dad, do something" Edward came to the verge of tears. Clara felt so bad for him indirectly it's because of her, he is in this spot. Should she help him?

Sharon apologized to everyone and they felt that Sharon did not harm their family. But Clara knew that there was something more to it. They couldn't even reach Sana.

Alina has not been home since that incident. Whenever Clara sees Edward, she feels so guilty.

"Should I leave so that Alina can come here?" Clara asked directly while Edward shifted his eyes to her side.

"It would prove that you are harming Alina and I would never want that" Edward's reply made her emotional. She earned trust from many people in this home and they are standing with her even now.

"I don't know what made you think that I am no harm to Alina?" Clara asked in her Clara tone as Edward chuckled at her words.

"I am not sure if you are good or bad. But I am sure that you won't harm anyone behind the scene. Right?" His words made her laugh out loud. He indeed studied her too closely.

In her room Clara looked at the sleeping figure of Alex. This man is a perfect human being. He stood with her in all the obstacles. But what did she do in return? She has carried her baggage along and ruined his peaceful life. Isn't it?

Clara touched his beard and caressed his cheeks.

"How I wish we meet normally like other people and how I wish we could marry each other with no drama. And how I wish we both fall in love with each other." Clara's sad voice filled her orbs. The plans and plotting from Elena's side made her exhausted mentally and Clara has no hope now. She is tired of fighting her. She is tired of everything.

"I thought we would have more time left before Elena tries to break us apart." Clara mumbled as a sad chuckle left her lips. It's as if she has decided something grave and she doesn't have the courage to tell that to him in person.

"I hope you stay healthy and happy" Clara added as she couldn't help but stare at his handsome face more to capture that in her soul.

"I don't want to burden your life anymore. My ill fate should limit myself. I would rather die to bring them upon you" Clara closed her eyes to release a few drops of tears. She has too much inside her head and soul and she doesn't trust anyone right now to share these all. Even Jason seemed to be a danger. She is left alone and she will be alone all her life.

The betrayal from all her trusted people made her reach its limit and she have no energy left in her to face any more betrayals. At this stage she is even not sure if Alex would be in this list anytime soon or not.

"I love you, Alex" She finally confessed her feelings as she kissed his forehead and a lone tear escaped her eyes.

"I have never felt this special in my entire life. Thanks for bringing happiness to my life even though it's short lived" She added and was careful that she doesn't wake him up. When she saw his disturbed feature, she stood up from that place and kept the letter beside him.

She walked away from his room, from his home and from his life. She knew that she was a coward here. But she has no words to express how much Elena broke her. If it's physical abuse, Clara would maintain a poker face and reply to them like a queen. But it hits her mentally now. Elena purposefully touched that nerve which would shake Clara from the bottom of her heart. Clara is now concerned about Jason and Alex as she knew that Elena would come after them to make Clara completely alone. So, it's best if she could save them.
