Chapter 92 She is back

"Whatever you do, I am always there for you" Jason's words made Clara more

confident. She wrapped the bouquet with a note to ask Alex to come home at five. She sent them through a courier.

After sending invitations, she hired someone to decorate the home without anyone's knowledge. It was super hard for her but she managed to do them. Frank and Grace were busy with their worries as they failed to notice the presence of someone inside the home.

The only thing she wished to give Alex was the chocolate fountain. He looked damn cute when he expressed his wish to have a chocolate fountain in his bedroom. Clara's lips curved up to a smile when she recalled his drunken Wishlist.

But Clara is not sure if he will be happy with her arrival or not. She has betrayed his trust and left him. It would not be easy to gain his trust again. But Clara won't sit back now. She will find ways to have her perfect life.

Right now, her priority is to get Alex back like before. It seemed to be an impossible task for her. But she will try at least.

"Happy birthday, Alex" Clara wished him as she walked slowly and gracefully towards him with her small smile. Alex was shocked and he couldn't come out from the spell she cast on him. He couldn't even blink his eyes.

"You like chocolates, right?" She stated them as a fact as she took the biscuit cone to layer them with that chocolate fountain. She gently passes them to his side. Alex didn't even react to her gesture or her presence.

Her dancing hair waved at him and he was just staring as he walked towards her. Till now he thought that he had been betrayed by her and he is just angry. But seeing her, his anger vanished into thin air and he wanted to just grab her and hug her.

The realization startled him as he shook those weird thoughts. More than the fact of her betrayal, he is mad at himself to let his guard down easily.

"Who are you?" Alex asked, breaking all his emotions. His eyes reflected only anger right now.

Clara looked at him as if she expected the question.

"Stop the drama and get out" Alex snapped angrily as he turned away. His mind was constantly reminding him not to fall for anyone. It was damn painful if you had to get away form that person.

Sandy and Mac ran to Clara's side instantly which pissed off Alex like hell. They didn't even hear Alex's words properly.

"Are you okay?" Both Sandy and Mac asked Clara in unison.

"If you wanted to get away from him, you could have come to my home," Sandy said while Alex turned to his side angrily. That was not on the list.

"You should have considered me too" Mac voiced out softly. He genuinely was worried for her. Clara looked at both the guys and she felt home finally. Her heart sank in happiness and she couldn't handle the emotions.

Elena was shocked beyond anything. She didn't expect her to return. She even hoped that she would be dead by now. The look of shock was so obvious that Clara giggled at her and walked towards her.

"Grandma. I missed you so much" Clara hugged the old lady with so much love.

"You were absolutely right about my illness." Her words shocked everyone around there. Clara turned to Alex's side.

"I didn't want you all to be bothered by my illness. So" Clara gave the reports to Alex.

"My doctor, Kriya treated me and she said I am completely alright now" That was a blow to Elena. Clara didn't deny her illness. Instead, she played along. That was not like Clara's style. Elena knew Clara for a long time and the way she reacted to everything was very straightforward and has no fear. This sly method can't be Clara's style.

Alina and Paxton came and hugged Clara with loud sobs.

"I am sorry" Alina mumbled as her sobs got heavier.

"Are you taking your medicines properly?" Clara asked, stroking her hair while patting Paxton's back.

It was indeed a pleasant reunion of Clara with her family. But Alex didn't talk to her even once. But he couldn't take his eyes off of her. Her mannerisms and gestures changed a lot and Alex could feel it.

"I didn't mean to hurt you all." Clara's soft words made Grace pull her for a hug. Grace has always been a big support to Clara since she came there. She could see her small Stella inside Clara. For this very reason, she couldn't get angry with her.

"But you did hurt us" Frank expressed how bad they went through. Clara had no words to express her apologies. Clara has no courage to say sorry to everyone. She knew that at the peak of her emotions, she made Elena win.

It's almost midnight and Alex had no intention to get back to his room. But he can't avoid them forever. Shrugging off his thoughts, he turned the knob of the door. It was dark inside as if there was no one in the room.

"him" He coughed purposefully to see where she was. But got no response. Did she leave again?

He peeped out of the balcony to see if she was there or not.

"Are you searching for me?" Clara asked from the backside as he missed his balance and he grabbed her arms for support resulting both fall flat over the floor with a thud.

Clara was taken back with the sudden fall. She looked at his devilishly handsome face and she damn wanted to be there for some more minutes. But Alex stood up instantly as he didn't want to even hear his heartbeat. He can't afford to fall for this mysterious girl.

After a few minutes of silence, Alex looked at her side.

"I am done with your weird attitudes and weird decisions." Alex barked at her and Clara jumped with the voice alone. He sounded so scary.

"I am not a pushover. You can't use me as you wish. What did you think?" He asked as

he grabbed her arms harshly making her flinch.

"You can just leave without a word and can come anytime and I would just smile back at you?" Alex asked as his eyes reflected the pain of her betrayal.

"I thought we shared at least a zone of friends. But guess it's one sided" He added as

he tightened his grip leaving handprints in her arms.

"Why did you come back now? To make fun of me?" Alex asked in an extremely dangerous tone.

Clara gulped the lumps as she opened her mouth to give at least an explanation.

"I didn't want to return. I didn't think that you were a pushover. I didn't want to make your life harder with my presence. I left you to not take you more for granted" Clara's soft words and her teary eyes as usual made him loosen his grip as his heart melted into puddles. This girl is really something when it comes to his anger. No one has this power.

"Then, why did you come back now?" Alex asked, ignoring the effect of her tears on him. He didn't want to give in this situation. He won't give this power of control to her. She can't control him.

"If I say the real reason, will you believe me?" Clara asked back with a weird shine in

her eyes.

"If I express my real intention, will you be like before? Will you support me like before?" Clara asked and now Alex is blank with the tone she picked up. What could be the reason?

"Don't beat around the bush." Alex snapped at her angrily.

"I came back for you" She replied instantly and his face showed his confusion. What does she mean?

"I realized that" She paused as she neared him in an extremely romantic manner making him nervous of her sudden gesture.

"I have finally realized that I love you." The moment she confessed her feelings, everything stopped at that place for Alex. He couldn't find the words to reply to her. He gulped hard as he looked at her green eyes.

"I am in love with you, Alex" She added again as she cupped his face and in no seconds, she kissed his forehead. He froze to the spot and couldn't even move a muscle.
