Chapter 98 The message

"I didn't know that he secretly wanted me to marry him. I mean, as soon as he came to know about Elsa's disappearance, he didn't wait a second to propose to marry me." Clara explained the whole incident in a whole new direction as Alex looked at her with

wide eyes.

"Omg. I never thought that Alex could be this dramatic." One of them exclaimed "Not dramatic. It's Romantic. You can never imagine how romantic he is" Alex regretted even opening his mouth earlier. Clara is in full form to tease him like hell. Alex's friends had this constant teasing smile and he couldn't take it more.

"Can you come there?" Alex tried to get her away from his friends.

"Guess he wants to be alone with me. Excuse us please" Her words made his friends laugh at Alex who has a very flushed face.

All the while, Elsa wanted to smash Clara alive. She didn't like the smiling face of Clara.

The party was in the right form as everyone enjoyed a lot by sharing their life experiences. Sandy entered the scene as all beamed to have him. He and Alex would always avoid such gatherings where both come face to face. But having both here made them happy.

Elsa grabbed George and went to a corner.

"Do you want to know what happened and why I ran away?" Elsa asked directly with her poker face. George looked at her face and gave a charming smile.

"You could have asked me directly. Why did you ask your friends to insult me like this?" Elsa asked, gritting her teeth.

"I didn't ask my friends to do this," George said softly.

"The game you are playing, I am an expert there. Don't even try to play with me" Elsa poked her forefinger at him and left the place George was stunned to see her sharpness. Of course, he only asked his friends to shoot this question as he wanted to see what answer she was giving. But he didn't expect her to find this out so soon and so easily. Her sassiness impressed him instantly and he smirked seeing how he would take her.

"Can you stop touching me?" Alex whispered and yelled at Clara who gaped at his words. It sounded as if she was a pervert.

"Stop being an annoyed new bride. I was just holding your hand. What's your problem.? By the way, you should have thought about the consequences before supporting your ex-fiancée" Clara's words made him see how possessive she became in such a short span of time.

Back then with Sana, she had never ordered Alex like this. But this girl is annoying him like hell while he couldn't even get angry with her.

"Fine. It's my mistake. Now can you stop this flirtation?" he asked while she nodded no like a kid.

"Just stay here. Don't follow me." Alex snapped at her while he walked fast towards the food side. He is done with her now. At least he wants five minutes away from her so that he could bear her torture.

Clara being Clara wanted to follow him but she knew that she was acting so clingy and he might explode sometime soon. She should go slow so that he can at least see the love and change his heart. But why the hell couldn't she control her mouth and action? She sighed tiredly cursing herself.

She turned to look for at least Sandy and Rose to kill time but she was startled with Elsa there.

"Guess you forgot what life you had earlier in my home" Elsa snapped at her angrily seeing how her mouth works lately. More than Clara's behaviour, Elsa is pissed of everything and she wanted to vent it out with Clara.

"Listen. I have no interest in being involved in your stupid game. Leave" Clara was being honest here, said those and tried to get away. But Elsa took the red wine and poured over her dress angrily. Her anger was not only with Clara but with everything around her. She was so frustrated that she was not sure what she was doing.

Clara gasped at her action. Elsa left the place instantly while Clara stood there like a statue. What is she doing now? Clara lowered her eyes which were filled with tears already. It was her mom's gown. She got ready with so much effort to have a beautiful time with her Alex. But Elsa didn't even think once before doing this.

Clara walked fast to the washroom and slammed the door. Her soft sobs were heard around as she was washing the stains with water.

This single incident made her shift back to those days where she would be facing such humiliations every day. Her heart and soul constricted making it hard to even breathe. "What happened?" Alex's words startled her. She didn't want to see him in this state. She is not a pushover. She doesn't want him to think of her as a pathetic girl. "Nothing, my dress was stained" Her voice was dull and panicked and she didn't even turn to his side as she was washing them Fastly. Alex could see the difference as he walked to her side instantly.

He grabbed her soft hands where she was rubbing the material so harshly. He gently patted her hand.

"Are you okay?" he asked and that's it. She couldn't control her sobs. She bites her lips as tears roll down her cheeks. He was super shocked to see her crying like this. What happened all of a sudden?

Alex didn't ask anything as he could see that she is not ready to share anything. So, he took the drier there and helped her dress dry. He took tissues and wiped her tears.

Alex was not sure how this girl could make him dance to her tunes. Just before some minutes, he was hell annoyed with her. But he couldn't hold them when he saw her

tears.

He wrapped his black coat over her as he took her outside once, he made sure of her mind set. Clara has calmed down already.

"What?" Rose shrieked at her brother when she saw him.

"You went to take water for me as I was choking. You came after half an hour and you even forgot to bring water?" Rose complained like a kid. She was choking for god's sake. But when Alex heard Clara's cries inside the washroom, he totally forgot about it and went to console her.

"Even my husband didn't care about me" she added while Sandy left the place showing no interest in her drama. But Rose is not going to let the matter go easily. She ran before him to annoy him more. These five months, she stayed away while apologising to him every now and then. But after Clara advised her, Rose knew what she was supposed to do.

Once Rose left the place, Alex gently grabbed Clara.

"Let's go home" he said while Clara didn't reply to him as she just nodded.

"I felt like killing her today" Clara expressed her inner turmoil over the call as she wiped her tears.

"Sometimes very little gestures will trigger you. I would suggest you to calm down and take your tabs to calm down your nerves. It's not good to react right at this moment" Kriya advised her and just like that Clara's weird feeling died. Clara loved the effect of Kriya's words on her. No one was able to control Clara except for Kriya in such an emotional scene.

Clara explained how she is not affected by the threats of Elena and all. She also explained that she has been getting so bold and different and she liked it. Kriya felt so happy to hear them.

When Clara turned to see if Alex had come or not, her eyes fixed somewhere.

"I will call you back" Clara hung up the call as she looked up and saw the Chandelier. It was dancing unusually fast. Alex was informing his friends that he was leaving the party and was standing exactly in the place of Chandelier.

Clara's eyes turned horror when she saw someone run away from the scene as if he knew what was going to happen.

Clara gasped realizing it. She ran towards Alex while screaming his name to save him. As she proceeded, the main rope of the chandelier broke and the huge chandelier started traveling down.

Clara reached Alex at the right timing as she grabbed him in panic. She pushed him hard and tried to move. But the big jammer broke in the centre of the hall. She fell on the left side while Alex looked shocked with the happenings. Though it didn't fall on Clara, her leg was hurt by its side lamp. She screamed in pain.

"Clara" Alex screamed as he came running to her side. Soon people gathered there and they removed those pieces from Clara's legs. Alex was numb seeing them in front of him. He was startled. He is not even in his right state of mind. The sound helped him come out from the shock. He touched his eyes and realized that he has been crying till now. He shrugged off his thoughts as he bends down.

Alex lifted her instantly as if he was lifting a small luggage bag.

"Ahh" Clara yelped in pain.

"Relax." Alex was continuously consoling Clara while he placed her inside the car and drove at high speed.

The doctor gave sedatives and cleaned her ankle. She was lying in bed as her mind was full from that incident. If she didn't come there at that time, Alex would have been

hurt. The thought made her shredded in fear. Alex came at the right time to console

her.

"Don't worry. You are safe." His words made her look at him as she grabbed him and hugged him. She is scared to lose him now. She felt like she had only him in her life. If she loses him, she will surely give up her life.

Alex could feel her thoughts in that tight hug. He didn't want to break the hug so he gently pats her head to calm her down.

Her phone beeped, breaking her hug. She wiped her tears as she took her mobile.

The message flashed on her screen as her blood stopped flowing in her body.

Alex went to buy medicines as Clara sat there in complete shock. Her hot tears poured out once again as she closed her mouth with her hand.
