Chapter 99 Engagement drama

Hearing about Clara's accident, Sandy ran to the hospital. It was super scary to see the scene in the hall. He is not even ready to imagine how much she would have been hurt. Rose tailed him with the same terrified expression.

"She is sleeping" Alex replied when Sandy tried to check Clara. Sandy glared at him and left the place not even wanting to reply to Alex. Alex sighed tiredly seeing the intensity of his anger. Sandy hasn't even talked a word with Alex since then. And Alex too didn't try to get near him.

Rose gestured to him to calm down as she entered the room to take care of Clara.

Alex walked to the balcony of the hospital where he admitted Clara. It's been a week since she has been in this hospital. Doctor strongly recommended X-rays and certain treatment of her leg before she can be discharged.

"She has been weirdly silent since the accident" Alex said to Mac who listened to him calmly.

"I checked the CCTV footage and found this" Mac showed the video where Elsa poured the wine over Clara's dress and also another video where someone purposefully cuts the rope of the chandelier. Alex's orbs turned cold watching those. He fisted his hands in anger. He is not sure who might want to hurt them? As they could clearly see that the guy in the mask made sure that Alex came under the chandelier so that he could cut the rope. Someone was trying to hurt Alex and Clara is hurt as a result of the action.

Alex's heart constricted thinking about her terrified face at that moment. He would never be able to explain how scared he was at that moment.

"I was scared that moment" Alex expressed his fear while Mac just gave a smile showing that he indeed knew this earlier.

"I don't know why? But if something happened to her, I am not even able to think what

I would have done?" Alex expressed his heart and Mac can be the right person to share these all.

"Don't just push your feelings away for her. I have seen something so deep between you both which I never saw in your eyes for Sana ever." Mac's words shocked Alex. He never thought that he could have such feelings for anyone more than he had for Sana. Mac can be so brutally honest sometimes.

"I don't know." Alex pulled out his hair in frustration.

"Don't delay. As far as I know about her, she won't just run behind you like all girls." Mac's words started worrying him. What if she had a change of heart already?

After talking with Mac, Alex had so many thoughts revolving around his head. He entered the room in a confused state.

The moment he entered; he froze to see the scene.

Clara was crying and hugging Jason. Alex was annoyed seeing how easily she is sharing everything with Jason. Alex was constantly asking her about her weird behaviour but she was all silent.

They didn't realize Alex's presence at all.

That irked Alex like hell.

"Please Grandma, can you stop this engagement? I don't think I can be happy with him" Elsa was crying her heart out. George's weird nature and his bossy attitude made Elsa scared but Elena cares least about it.

"Every guy in this world is scary but once you get hold of their heart, they can go to the top of the world to bring happiness to you. So don't confuse it with anything" Elena was consoling Elsa with whatever she could do. Because George Scott is someone whom no one would even dream to miss.

"I love Jake" Elsa blurted out suddenly at the peak of her emotions. Even Elsa is surprised with her words. She realized that with this only reason, she had a very uncomfortable feeling about marrying George. But will her grandma allow her to have her choice of life?

Elena looked at Elsa with her sharp gaze as she stood up instantly. She didn't reply to Elsa as she walked away calmly. Elsa is scared to hell. Elena's calmness is like silence before a storm.

One hour passes by. Elsa is not even sure if she should get ready for her engagement or wait for her grandma with the good news. Elsa even hatched so many plans to purpose to Jake again.

Her thoughts were stopped with a call from the private number.

"Jake?" Elsa gasped loudly when she heard his cries in the call. Elsa's tears rolled down continuously when she realised what her grandma just did to her.

"Please don't do anything to him" Elsa pleaded once she saw Elena on the balcony.

"Dear. It's for your good life. Please. Don't mistake your grandma" Elena cried suddenly confusing Elsa. She looked scarier now.

"Don't compel me to hurt you in this process." Elena's words were so scary they Elsa nodded her head like an obedient kid.

"Your life will be like a queen if you get married to this person. But Jake? You will have a beggar's life" Elena added as she gently hugged Elsa to convince her more. But Elena knew that Elsa is one stubborn person and that's why she asked her men to kidnap Jake so that Elsa could at least listen to her.

"I will marry George. Don't hurt Jake. He has not done anything" Elsa's broken words came out of her mouth as her sobs got louder.

"Just came down. Just wipe down your tears and come down" Elena spoke with so much love as she caressed her cheeks. Elsa became silent as her tears dried in her cheeks. She didn't make any attempts to even speak to anyone.

"I don't want to attend this engagement. Please get me back home" Clara's voice was so exhausted while Alex took the U turn.

"There is no one at home and I don't want to leave you alone. Just come with me and stay with me" Alex replied to which Clara couldn't deny more. Jason clutched her hands to give her more strength. Alex looked at their hands with his mirror and his orbs turned cold seeing that. He pressed the accelerator hard and jerked them knowingly and as a result, Jason's hand flew away from her side.

"You are not coming to the function, right? I shall drop you to your home" Alex asked Jason while he looked at Clara who had a very terrified expression.

"Please. Come with me." She pleaded, which did not go well with Alex. Why should he come? Alex is more than annoyed when Jason agrees instantly. He suddenly felt left out.

Rose was continuously tailing Sandy, irritating him like hell.

"Let's wear the same colour dress today" she said beaming at Sandy while he was at his limit. She has been so annoying nowadays and Sandy wouldn't mind hurting her physically at this point.

Before he could say anything, she grabbed the tip of his dress like old times. When she was just 12 years old, she used to pull his dress like this and he would always fulfil her demands.

"Sunny, I started enjoying this life too. You can be angry like this forever. And I can console you like this. It's kind of cute." She added as she hugged him from the back side.

"But please don't ask me to get out of this home. You can vent out your anger. But please let me stay with you" Her voice was filled with so much love that made Sandy hurt. How he wishes to throw this angry face and hug his love back to him. He couldn't watch her cry anymore.

"Don't touch me" Sandy snarled as he pushed her instantly. But Rose just smiled in response as if she is ready to get even more humiliation.

"Don't try to act in front of me." Sandy added as he left the room. He didn't want to stay longer to see her drama. It is changing his heart and he is not ready to change it anytime.

They entered the engagement venue and Clara didn't want to see anyone as she sat there in the corner as if she was too scared to even lift her eyes. Her phone beeped again as her eyes widened in shock.

"Insult your sister in front of all" Clara reads the message and her shoulder starts trembling in fear. Soon the message disappeared from the screen. She is not even sure who the hell is messaging her.

She recalled what she saw that day as soon as the accident happened.

'How is my shock treatment?'

She remembered the message and was trembling in fear. Someone was watching them and even ready to kill them. It can't be Elena for sure. Clara had this doubt that Elena can't play such a dangerous game. But when she gets another message to insult Elsa, she is sure that it is not Elena. But who else wants to torture her? What is the exact reason for this?

One thing she is damn sure that the person is watching her closely and she can't risk telling this to anyone until she is aware of the depth of the situation.

But right now, insulting Elsa means opening another gate of hell where Elena is the watchman. It seems so scary for her. But she has to do it for the sake of Alex.

Elsa walked down the stairs with her beautiful baby pink ball gown dress as her skin shined in that dim light of the hall. Clara stood up with difficulty.

It will be fun to insult Elsa. Clara always wanted to do this. But right now, she is so scared to do this.
