"hey ryaboo. i missed you girl." analeya spoke to her younger sister arya.

"hi leyabug, i missed you too. can we go get ice cream?"

analeya hadn't seen her sister in a month so she was happy to see her again. they had been inseparable for years despite the 6 year age difference.

"yes baby of course. where's booda?" leya asked referring to her younger brother amonté.

"booda went to football practice and after he's going with his girlfriend. she's really pretty and nice. she got me seafood the other day."

"ouu she sounds real nice boop. you have to meet my girlfriend soon, you and booda."

"you have a girlfriend too? when did y'all get together bug?" arya asked very curiously.

"we met in january but we officially got together in april. her name is sai'elle and she has a 4 year old daughter named emoni. you would love her."

"is she pretty? let me see her."

"yes, take my phone and look in my favorites in my camera roll. dont go to nothing else boo." analeya spoke while wearing a smirk on her face.

"ew bug i dont even want to check. you can just show me when we pull up."

"okay bet."

analeya and her sister pulled up to the ice cream shop and hopped out.

"hi welcome to froyo loco. i'm ashley, how can i help you today?"

"hi can we get 1 strawberrry ice cream and 1 cookie dough ice cream both with hot fudge syrup?"

"yes ma'am. what size?"

"large."

"anything else for you today?"

analeya and arya both shook their heads no.

"okay that'll be $9.22, cash or card?"

"card."

"okay you can swipe, tap, or insert when you're ready."

analeya tapped her card and then clicked $5 for a tip. she felt really nice today.

"thank you for the tip and here is your ice cream, have a very nice day!" the worker, ashley, said excitedly.

the 2 girls walked to the table while they went to talk and catch up on things.

"so ryry, whats new? how you feeling being 16 now?"

"nothings new really bug, i'm just ready for 11th grade and i'm happy that i'm 17 but i'm ready to be legal now shit."

"girl 1 year you better wait as long as you can. i miss you though. i'm bouta start getting you more."

"i miss you too leyabug. i hope we can go to the fair and you can bring your girlfriend. maybe i can bring my man.." arya said whispering.

"your who? repeat that one mo time for me arya."

"analeya do not start getting overprotective. i have a boyfriend, i met him in middle school but we started talking in august of last year and i finally was ready to be with him in january of this year. his name is rashad and he is really nice. he treats me like a princess. i want you to meet him, please be nice to him."

"well i can't be mad. i just wish you would've told me boo." analeya said with a slight frown.

leya felt sad because her sister really only had her and amonté and their grandparents. she felt like not seeing her sister for a month was so horrible.

"i'm sorry i didn't tell you. i just thought you were busy and you have been which is fine, you're grown analeya. i can't stop you from living your life bug." arya said with a comforting smile.

"it's okay. as long as he treats you right and he doesn't pressure you to do things."

"he doesn't, he's so sweet. i hope you can meet him soon."

"of course. just let me know." leya spoke smiling at her sister.

"you ready to go?"

"yes girl, i have track practice in like 2 hours then cheer practice early tomorrow so i need to rest as much as possible."

"oop okay lets get you home boo."

as the sisters drove home, they made jokes and listened to all kinds of music.

analeya and arya dreaded having to leave each other. it made them sad and it was always tear filled.

"let me walk you in and see nana and poppop." analeya said trying to act happy.

"okay come on." arya said sadly.

"arya, you know you can come over whenever and i'll see you tomorrow after cheer. it's okay ryaboo, i'm only 30 minutes away plus i'm close by your school so on weekdays you know where you can be."

"okay okayyy now let's go in."

analeya walked inside with arya to see her nana and poppop, it's been a while since she saw them.

"nana and poppop, i have a surprise for y'all." arya yelled out to them.

"now arya why the hell- my baby oh my gosh." nana joyce yelled.

"now look who's yelling." arya mumbled quietly.

"arya i heard you girl. you better watch your tail and go get ready for track practice you hea' me?"

"yes nana, see you leya i love you."

"i love you too." leya replied hugging her sister.

"come here let me get a good look at you. still beautiful as ever." nana joyce said putting her glasses on and smiling.

"thank you grandma. you still look good too girl."

"oh i know bug. i know." nana joyce said turning around and popping her hips.

for nana joyce to be 78, she looked good. still had a nice body and a pretty face because she took care of herself.

that was one of the things that made her such a good mother figure, she was able to do things with them.

"girl bye, but where is poppop calvin?"

"calvin bring your ass in here." nana joyce yelled out.

"now joyce what the hell do you want?" poppop calvin said walking into the room.

"shit is that my grandbaby? i missed your ole ugly ass."

"now poppop you know i am not ugly. don't start lying in here, light bright." leya said laughing at her grandfathers antics.

"leyabug i love you but you know you cannot be calling ANYBODY light bright." nana joyce said side eyeing her granddaughter.

"wow so y'all gon gang up on me? crazy." analeya said with her hand over her chest looking fake hurt.

analeya loved her grandparents. without them, her and her siblings would be out on the street.

she couldn't wait to do everything possible to make them happy, they deserved the world.

"so what brings you by baby? i mean i don't mind but i haven't see you in a while."

"now nana it's only been a month. i'm joking but i missed you guys. i've been busy and y'all have been busy but i finally got some actual free time that wasn't late at night."

"well we missed you too baby and a month or not, i missed you."

"i missed you guys a lot. also i wanted to talk to you about meeting somebody special."

"who? you got a lil friend? i don't want no great grandbabies." poppop calvin spoke jokingly.

"actually i do, i have a um girlfriend."

analeya paused as the room went silent. she was so scared to tell them because they were such holy people and she didn't want to be disowned.

"joyce.. this girl done finally told us. oh my gosh after 23 years."

"h-huh?" analeya said confused.

"babygirl we raised you. we already knew. your senior prom? that man that was your "date", we know it was for show. you looked so disgusted." poppop calvin said laughing at his granddaughter.

"look we don't care who you fool around with as long as you respect them and they respect you. we raised you better than to be with some no self respecting low life, excuse my language." nana joyce said smiling at her first grandbaby.

"oh my gosh, all these years? i was so scared and y'all knew? man what, i thought i was hiding something." leya spoke shyly.

"the closet was glass and see through baby. you might as well have walked around in a rainbow flag dress." her poppop calvin said laughing.

he was surely getting a kick out of this. he was happy she trusted them enough to finally come out.

"well okay then. i have a girlfriend and her name is sai'elle, she has a 4 year old daughter named emoni but her and the babyfather are completely over. she's so sweet, and she respects me. i really mess with her and her daughter. those are my hearts."

"aw look at her chump ass in love." poppop calvin said to his wife.

"reminds me of us back when we told your parents and they already knew we were fooling around." nana joyce said blushing.

"but that name sounds familiar. sai'elle.. as in nita's daughter? tamara's granddaughter? God rest her soul."

"yes her mom's name is anita and her grandfather's name is paul. she never really speaks about her grandma but yes that's her."

"oh my gosh, i watched little sai grow up. i used to be best friends with tamara and i was pregnant with your mom while she was pregnant with anita. small world." nana joyce said smiling reminiscing on the old days.

"wow that is a small world but i want y'all to meet again, get to know her as grown sai'elle. unfortunately i have work in like 45 minutes so i'm going to dip out but i missed yall. i'll be back tomorrow or the day after that. i love yall. see ya later." analeya said kissing her nana and poppop on the cheek.

"well it was nice seeing you leyabug. come back soon okay? i love you too." her nana joyce spoke.

"i'll be seeing you babygirl. i love you." her poppop calvin spoke while watching the game in his chair.

"okay i'm out, i love yall. tell booda call me soon."

"okay we will." she heard her grandma shout as she closed the door and walked out.

analeya loved visiting her grandparents. she loved them so much and she was so glad they took her and her siblings in.

especially now that they know she's lesbian. she felt so relieved and comfortable talking to them.

"can't believe they knew all this time." analeya whispered to herself as she backed out the driveway to head to work

soo another chapter, i was feeling like an author today. idk this 10k reads got me excited lol.

we met analeya's 17 year old sister and her grandparents. we'll meet her brother aka amonté aka booda soon.
