"goodmorning, i'm sai'elle. i'll be your tattoo artist or piercer. what's your name and what's the tattoo or piercing you would like?" sai'elle spoke to her first client out of the six she had for today.

sai'elle already knew because she organized her clients based on time and what they're getting but she always asks again incase they change it.

"hey pretty girl, i'm harmoni and i want this sleeve and then my snake eyes done please."

as sai figured, the girl didn't want her ribs done anymore.

"okay bet i can do that. the sleeve is $95 and the snake eyes is $30."

"not a problem boo!" harmoni said.

"okay then let's get into it."

sai'elle drew the stencil and then showed harmoni to see if she liked it.

she noticed the girl was kind of fidgety.

"nervous." sai'elle thought to herself.

"i fuck with that! ou i'm so excited bitch- wait no bitch like bitch but bitch like you're cool you know? i'm sorry. i'm rambling, i know i'm sorry." harmoni said nervously with her leg shaking.

"calm down harmoni. how many tattoos you got?"

"just two and they're small. this my first big one i'm scared." harmoni spoke breathing.

sai'elle knew what to do for nervous clients so she  started the process.

"okay what song or movie calms you down? drink this water and here eat these chips."

"i like hocus pocus and okay thank you boo, i'm sorry."

"you're okay, you are not my first nervous client love." sai'elle spoke with a comforting smile.

sai started prepping harmoni's skin and looked to see if she was shaking her leg still, she wasn't so she noticed that harmoni was calm.

"i'm prepping your skin and then i'm going in and doing the linework which means i'm putting the design on your skin. you good?"

"yes i'm okay, i feel more comfortable now. thank you."

"ight no problem."

sai'elle hummed along to her music in her airpod while she did the linework some more.

once she was done with that, she started shading and coloring the tattoo in the colors that was on the pinterest inspired photo

after 2 hours, sai'elle finished the tattoo and the piercing.

"alright and i am done! how do you like it?" sai'elle asked nervously.

"i look good oh my gosh and it barely hurt, i was od." harmoni laughed softly.

"aye i was freaking out about my first big tattoo too so it's okay. now i know you know how to care for a tattoo but please don't scratch it. clean it with fragrance free soap and don't scrub, air dry it or pat it dry. moisturize with a fragrance free lotion and stay out of pools and oceans please. lastly don't pick it, protect it from the sun, and hydrate yourself."

"okay got it and about the snake eyes?" harmoni spoke typing in her notes

"clean it 3 times a day or after every meal. only touch it if your hands are clean because it's an open wound. carry travel size zero alcohol mouthwash with you and only eat soft foods. nothing spicy, acidic, salty, or hot. avoid kissing or oral sex for 6-8 weeks, preferably 8. don't change the jewelry too soon and if you sense a sign of infection, call me immediately."

"okay bet bet. thank you boo! i sent the money to your cashapp, you are the best. i'll be back."

right as she said that sai'elle heard the money sound on cashapp and saw harmoni sent the amount plus a $15 tip.

"thank you so much harmoni, see you soon." sai'elle spoke happily.

"one down, 5 to go." sai'elle said blowing out a breath

after six clients, sai'elle was beat. she started at 7 am and finished at 9 pm.

"whew lord today drained me."  sai'elle said in her head.

"ight nigga, i'm out." sai'elle spoke to amari, her brother in law.

"nigga? sai, you is sis to me, not my homeboy. give me a hug girl." amari spoke laughing at her antics.

"i'm kidding, see you later amari. kiss my niece and nephew for me." sai'elle spoke hugging him.

"i will. see you sis, kiss my niece for me and loni."

"i will, see yall." she spoke to everybody else.

"bye sai." the other people in the shop said in unison.

sai'elle walked to her car and got in. she started it up and put on her playlist and heard the song 10,000 hours by ella mai come on.

since the day that i was born

i been looking out for love

but never really quite found the one

they say practice makes perfect

i know i deserve it

sometimes we should do it for fun

she sung along to the song and then realized she needed to grab something to eat.

sai'elle pulled into chipotle and walked inside to get her food.

"hi welcome to chipotle, what can i get you?" the worker named tina asked.

"hi can i get a chicken burrito bowl with no beans and no guac."

"yes and would that be with sour cream or cheese?"

"cheese please and oh no vegetables please. thank you." sai'elle said feeling like she was asking for too much.

she hated that she was too nice sometimes.

"of course and what drink would you like?"

"a strawberry lemonade please."

(a/n: i do not eat chipotle. i had to look up what they have on doordash and i like strawberry lemonades so i put that. don't shoot me yall chipotle people)

"of course, your total is $15.70. cash or card?"

"card."

"perfect, follow the instructions on the pinpad."

sai'elle pulled out her debit card and swiped it. she gave the girl a tip and then she got her receipt and moved over.

"order #679." sai'elle heard them call her number.

(a/n: i don't know if they do order numbers but i want them to so)

"thank you. have a good one." sai'elle said to the worker and grabbed some napkins before walking to her car.

sai'elle was glad she had her momma watch emoni at the house so she didn't have to leave out and pick nobody up.

as she drove home, outta time by bryson tiller and drake came on.

sai'elle couldn't even sing it, she just skipped it.

"she loves that song." sai thought to herself referring to analeya.

"t up bitch we not crying forreal." sai'elle spoke outloud to herself looking in her mirror.

she laughed at her dramatics and finished the drive home.

once she pulled into her driveway, she got out and walked inside her house.

"mommy, what you doing up? i have a guest room." she asked her mom softly.

"girl i be up this time at home but emoni just went to sleep, she couldn't hang so i was waiting for you and i was going to go home." anita chuckled.

"oh okay mommy, well thank you. i love you. please drive safe."

"kali and semaj is going to be over my house this weekend so she's here to get me. i'm letting her drive around and stuff before her appointment for her provisional license."

"oop okay period!" sai'elle spoke proudly.

"but goodnight baby, i love you. sleep good." anita spoke kissing her daughters cheek and walking out the door.

"goodnight mommy i love you too."

sai'elle locked the door behind her mom and then went towards the bathroom.

"time to get out these clothes." sai'elle said to herself softly.

sai'elle cut the shower on and then grabbed her pajamas from her drawer and walked back into the bathroom.

"hey alexa play shower playlist."

"now playing shower playlist."

session 32 was heard playing which made sai'elle roll her eye as she stepped into the shower.

she knew analeya updated her playlist for her after she had found interest in a couple new songs.

as the song played, sai started tearing up then finally she just broke down crying while washing her body.

she missed analeya so bad but she just couldn't deal with the hurt of her leaving or of emoni being hurt asking about her and if she did something wrong.

it made sai'elle feel sick because she remembered when emoni cried because she missed her daddy and thought she did something wrong.

she knew nobody agreed with her decision but she didn't care.

as a mom, her daughters feelings come first and when somebody breaks her daughters trust or hurts her. she has to step up to protect her daughter so she did that.

but also as a person, a human being with a heart, she had to protect herself from ever being hurt like that again. from feeling unwanted and disregarded.

she truly just wanted one simple text so she knew what was going on. just to be considered for once.

especially since analeya knew that sai'elle had trust issues and was trying to trust and love her the right way.

"just one text." sai'elle said to herself crying.

she wouldn't ever do analeya like that. no text? no call? it was truly hurtful but she couldn't dwell on it.

she had to step up and do what's best for her and her daughter.

however she just wanted to feel analeya's touch one more time. a kiss, a hug, anything. she just needed it.

but it wasn't healthy. she had to let her go be free. she couldn't ask her to wait until she trusted her again, it wouldn't be fair.

so she let her go. it was the best decision for both of them.

but for the first time in a while, she would soon come to find out she was wrong.
