Vol. 1 Ch. 10
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
In the evening, Leon returned to the room, dragging his exhausted body. He was so tired that he didnât even have the energy to change his shoes. When he came in, he headed straight for the bedroom and collapsed on the bed.
After a moment, the door lock clicked, and high heels lightly tapped on the floor, walking in slowly.
Leon knew it was Rosvitha who had come, but he couldnât get up and look at her. Today, he finally saw the true face of this dragonessâstubborn, extreme, and scheming.
Making Leon take care of the kid was one thing, but making him drag his emptied-out body to accompany Muen in playing games was another.
âCome on, big sister. Just two days ago, I was still in a coma lying in bed, and now you want me to play with a little dragon girl whoâs as energetic as a husky all day long. It seems like you really wish for me to depart this world sooner, huh?â
Leon muttered under his breath as Rosvitha reached the bedside.
âDead?â The queen asked coldly.
Leon kicked his legs twice to indicate that he was still alive.
âVery well, your vitality is more tenacious than I expected,â said the queen.
âYou have a sense of humour, Your Majesty the Queen,â Leon snorted.
Rosvitha didnât respond further. Instead, she approached, bent down, and placed the already sleeping Muen in Leonâs arms.
Leon smelled the unique milky fragrance on the little dragon girl, opened his eyes, and found her youthful face just centimetres from his nose.
Muen had her eyes slightly closed, her small pink fists clenched gently, and a hint of weariness between her eyebrows, but a subtle smile adorned her lips.
âShe hasnât been this happy in a long time,â Rosvitha said.
Rosvitha sat at the edge of the bed with her back turned to Leon and Muen.
Moonlight poured in from the window, casting a soft glow on the bed. The room was very quiet, with only the rhythmic sound of Muenâs breathing.
Leon rolled his eyes. After a brief silence, Rosvitha added, âShe probably wants to discuss some internal dragon clan matters with me and pay a visit. So tomorrow, you can only play with Muen in the room. You canât go outside, understand.â
Leonâs thoughts stirred slightly. He chuckled, withdrew his gaze from Rosvithaâs back, and refocused on Muen.
He reached out, gently stroking Muenâs hair, and said, âUnderstood. Being involved with a human is really beneath the dignity of the Silver Dragon Queen, so we canât let outsiders see.â
âNo, to outsiders, youâre a very eligible bachelor dragon. You find it troublesome on ordinary days, so keep your tail tucked away.â
Hearing this, Leon bounced up from the bed, âWhat did youââ
âHush~ Muen is still sleeping.â
Leon glanced at Muen, then lowered his tone, âWhat did you say? You told your dragon people that Iâm also a dragon?â
âWell, what else? I have to make everyone believe that you, me, and our daughter are a happy family. And you, Leon Casmode, are a dragon who married into the Silver Dragon clan. You fell into a coma due to some illness for two years and just woke up these past two days.â
Rosvitha grinned, âHow about it? Iâm pretty good at making up stories, huh?â
âNot good at allâ¦â
âWhy not satisfied?â Leon retorted.
âNo,â Rosvitha chuckled.
Leon waved his hand, lying back down. He closed his eyes, trying to digest his new identity.
A dragon suitable for marriage, who disliked trailing tails, married into the Silver Dragon clan and fell into a coma for two years due to illnessâa male dragon.
It was indeed an all-encompassing defence without a single loophole. If Leon werenât a dragon slayer, one might even praise,
âYou did well, Rosvitha.â
âSo youâve given me a new identity. Why not let me meet your family?â
âYou said it yourself, this identity is fabricated. It canât be flawless. My sister is clever, Iâm afraid she might see through something,â Rosvitha said.
Leon didnât respond immediately. Instead, he started to think about his own plans. Rosvitha had just mentioned that her sister was coming to discuss internal dragon clan matters with her. Was it something like a regular inspection in human societies?
Leon pursed his lips and asked, âIs your sisterâs visit something significant?â
Rosvitha frowned, âIf you dare to cause trouble, donât blame me for not being polite.â
âYou donât think youâre being polite to me now, do you?â
Rosvitha gave him a disdainful look, then stood and walked towards the bedroom door.
At the entrance, Rosvitha whispered, âTomorrow, take good care of Muen. Donât leave this room, donât cause trouble for me.â
The sound of the door lock echoed. The door lock echoed again, and high heels tapping on the floor gradually faded.
Leon breathed a sigh of relief, muttering, âSheâs still a dragon who cares about appearances. Sheâs keeping up the facade even if itâs a fake family. Whatâs the point?â
Leon could probably guess how Rosvitha would answer this question:
âFor revenge.â
She kept the defeated Leon close, robbed him of his dignity and pride, and even assigned him a dragon identity to make him pay the price.
Since Leon tarnished Rosvitha in the past, now she wanted to return the humiliation she endured. Indeed, dragon-kindâs revenge was something Leon, as a human, couldnât comprehend.
But whether he understood or not, Leon still felt the need to disgust Rosvitha. He was already figuring out how to deal with that scheming dragoness tomorrow.
For her, it would undoubtedly be the ultimate social death!
âMmmââ
A soft hum came from Muen beside him. Immediately after, she curled up her tiny body, and her tail crawled up to cover her waist.
Leon, seeing this, quickly pinched the corner of the quilt and covered Muen with it.@@novelbin@@
Muen snuggled into the soft blanket, the instinct of living beings seeking warmth prompting her to move closer to Leonâs embrace.
She gently pinched the corner of Leonâs clothes, murmuring in a blurry dream, âDaddy⦠Muen likes playing with Daddy⦠Hmm~ Mommy has never played with Muen⦠Letâs bring Mommy along next time, okay?â
Damn.
She didnât play with her daughter, but she dreamt of her.
Rosvitha, she had no heart!
Leon planned to take the opportunity to influence the little dragon girl.
âMommy is a bad dragon. Letâs not bring Mommy to play, okay?â Leon said.
âMommy⦠is⦠a bad dragonâ¦â
âYeah, yeah, Mommy is a bad dragon, very naughty,â Leon added fuel to the fire.
âThen Daddy should become a bad dragon, too, right?â
Failed to influence. Long-term planning is needed!
