Vol. 1 Ch. 109
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Leon sleepwalked out of the room, heading straight for the back mountain behind the temple.
Rosvitha followed closely behind him.
Watching his movements, the queen couldnât help muttering, âWhat a cunning dragon slayer, he didnât hide the photos in the room after all. With such a vast back mountain, finding a few photos is like finding a needle in a haystack.â
Fortunately, she now had a humanoid âmagnetâ who would sleepwalk into adventures, capable of attracting that needle lost in the sea.
Additionally, Rosvitha had discovered a trick for using half past two in the morning.
If asking Leon for the truth, she only had one minute to do so. If she exceeded that time, he wouldnât respond anymore.
However, if she wanted him to take a dare, judging from the current situation, Leon wouldnât stop until he completed the dare.
Thinking of this, Rosvitha smiled knowingly.
It seemed better to let him take dares in the future; it was more cost-effective.
With that in mind, Rosvitha followed Leon up the back mountain.
After walking for about twenty minutes, they could see the cherry blossom forest ahead.@@novelbin@@
This stirred up a not-so-good memory for Rosvitha.
Recently, after awakening her bloodthirsty instincts, Leon took her to this place as the first stop of their âwild adventure.â
He claimed it was to treat her in the same way she had treated him before, when she had forced him in the woods outside the empire. Now, he wanted to retaliate in front of her at the Silver Dragon Temple.
It just showed that two revengeful individuals werenât suitable for marriage; otherwise, there would never be peace in the household.
Retracting her thoughts, she followed Leon into the cherry blossom forest.
But Leonâs steps didnât stop.
âCould it not be hidden hereâ¦â
To be honest, this cherry blossom forest held a certain significance for both of themâwhether good or bad, it was meaningful. So, Rosvitha initially thought Leon might have hidden the photos here.
Since they werenât there, she continued to follow him.
Next, in his sleepwalking state, Leon led Rosvitha to a streamside.
This place left a deep impression on Rosvitha, it was the second landmark after she and Leon visited the cherry blossom forest.
That night, the stars adorned the sky, and the cool river water flowed beneath them, contrasting with the heat and discomfort of their bodies.
Rosvitha let out a soft sigh, shaking her head to drive away the jumbled memories and emotions. She looked at Leon, who showed no signs of stopping.
It seemed the photo wasnât here. They leaped over the river and ventured further inside.
Passing by several of their previous landmarks, Rosvitha noticed something subtle, or perhaps, coincidental.
Every place Leon led her through was one of their original checkpoints from their wilderness battles â and they were following the same order.
They say dreams reflect oneâs innermost feelings. Perhaps sleepwalking does too?
So, that wilderness checkpoint must have given this man a sense of accomplishment.
âThe higher you rise, the harder you fall. Hmph, revel in your dreams, Dragon Slayer, but youâll have a rude awakening soon.â The queenâs mind stirred slightly as she continued to follow Leon.
As they walked, they arrived at a grove of poplar trees. This wasnât one of the original checkpoints.
The air was cool, and the evening breeze rustled through the trembling leaves of the poplar trees, making a soft, rustling sound.
Creak⦠creakâ¦
Underfoot lay a carpet of fallen poplar leaves, their crunching sounds clear with each step.
Suddenly, Leon stopped ahead.
Rosvitha also paused, furrowing her brow as she gazed at the manâs silhouette ahead.
Another gust of wind blew through the woods, swirling the leaves between them.
Silver strands brushed against Rosvithaâs face as she surveyed her surroundings, wondering, could the photo be hidden here?
But Leon didnât move to search anywhere. Instead, he stood there motionless with his back to her.
Suddenly, Rosvitha realized something.
Creakâ¦
The man in front of her stepped on the leaves, slowly turning around. In the moonlight, his resolute and handsome face bore a smug smile.
âI fell for itâ¦â Seeing Leonâs smile, Rosvitha immediately understood what was happening.
He hadnât been asleep at all, nor had he followed Rosvithaâs instructions for the dream adventure. He had been playing along with her the whole time.
His compliance was just a weapon to deceive her. As soon as he got the chance, he would strike back with a vengeance.
The poor queen, manipulated by the cunning Dragon Slayer, felt a sense of helplessness. His docility was just a facade, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldnât escape his control.
However, she silently stored this feeling in her heart as her motivation for future revenge.
Failure is the mother of success. As the saying goes, fortunes can change in thirty years. Rosvitha refused to believe she couldnât regain control.
She stumbled back two steps and leaned against a poplar tree.
Creak⦠creakâ¦
The man who had her firmly in his grasp approached slowly, stepping on the dry poplar leaves. The sound of the leaves crunching seemed to echo Rosvithaâs shattered will to survive.
Leon stood in front of Rosvitha, watching her with a somewhat dazed expression, and chuckled.
âAlthough I donât know what enchantment you used on me to make me follow your every word, obviously, it didnât work.â
Rosvitha looked at him, thinking to herself, âIdiot, thereâs no enchantment. Itâs clearly your own bizarre weakness.â
But Rosvitha didnât intend to tell Leon about the incident at 2:30 just yet. Despite this setback, it was still a good way to get him to speak the truth or to lead him on dream adventures.
There will definitely come a day when this will come in handy. And judging from what he just said, he himself is unaware of this weakness.
His master probably kept this information from him, just like Rosvitha did, to ensure heâd do more chores. So Rosvitha couldnât reveal it yet; if she did, Leon would undoubtedly try to overcome this bizarre weakness of his.
Who would complain about having an ace up their sleeve, right?
Even though she was currently facing adversity, the Silver Dragon Queen continued to advance steadily, laying her plans carefully.
âYou must be familiar with the places we just passed by, right?â Leon said, moving closer.
Rosvitha, feeling cornered, pressed her head against the tree trunk, her body tight against it. With Leon right in front of her, she could even feel his warm breath.
Being scrutinized by those black eyes with a hint of playfulness, Rosvitha felt both embarrassed and angry.
Indeed, his decision to take her back to those checkpoints wasnât impulsive; it was specifically designed to evoke her memories.
At that thought, Rosvitha turned her head away, but Leon reached out and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him.
âTell me, Miss Melkvi, which part of this outdoor class did you enjoy the most?â Leon asked with a smile. âWas it the cherry blossom forest, the riverside, or⦠this grove of poplar trees?â
Since her charade had been exposed by Leon, Rosvitha saw no need to pretend to be a weak woman anymore. âI didnât like any of it, especially not here!â
âVery well, then letâs make this grove our last lesson for tonight.â
âYouâ¦!â
To slay a dragon, one must also slay the heart. You are so ruthless, Casmode!
Before Rosvitha could say anything else, Leonâs broad, cool hand gently grasped her slender waist and pulled her into his embrace.
Then, his lips met hers with fiery tenderness.
Rosvitha struggled for a moment, patting Leonâs shoulders, but it only deepened his kiss and tightened his embrace.
In the end, Rosvitha surrendered.
Since resistance was futile, she decided to enjoy the passionate embrace before the storm.
After all, ever since Leon had unlocked the skill of kissing, he had always been quite gentle when kissing her, nothing like the stereotypical âdomineering dragon king,â oily and rough.
As their kiss reached its climax, dragon runes shimmered.
Crackleâ¦
The beautyâs delicate body sank onto the bed of leaves, scattering golden fragments. Her hair swayed among the leaves, like silver tassels in the twilight.
Rosvithaâs fingertips inadvertently picked up a leaf, then brought it to her lips, where she held it between them.
Creakâ¦
As she bit down on the leaf, it seemed to herald the beginning of a whole new game.
