Vol. 1 Ch. 130
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Rosvitha raised her head, looking at him with suspicion, âWhich time?â
Leon replied firmly, âThe time of Blood Confusion.â
At his words, Rosvitha was instantly jolted awake from her reverie, memories flooding back to the night when Leon succumbed to the Blood Confusion spell she cast.@@novelbin@@
On that night of indulgence and confusion, Leon, under the spellâs influence, continuously demanded from Rosvitha, and they indeed indulged in passionate intimacy throughout the entire night.
However, it was on this very night that Rosvitha underestimated the side effects of the Blood Confusion on the body of a Dragon King, and inadvertently collapsed unconscious.
And that one collapse lasted for three days.
Three whole days, well beyond the effective range of safety measures.
Upon waking up, Rosvithaâs head hadnât even cleared before Leon whisked her away to âcheck-inâ at the back of the temple.
By the time she had recovered somewhat, she had long forgotten about the safety precautions.
Now, recalling it, it was indeed negligence upon negligence.
The queen tightly shut her eyes, tapping her own head in frustration, muttering to herself, âHow could this happenâ¦â
Beside her, Leon sighed, âItâs too late for regrets now, you brought this upon yourself by using the Blood Confusion on me.â
Hearing this, Rosvitha immediately grew displeased, âWhat do you mean âI brought this upon myselfâ? If you hadnât used it on me in the dungeon, would I have used it on you recently?â
âNonsense, if I hadnât used it, I would have died in the dungeon.â
âIt doesnât matter now, itâs not too late, Iâll deal with you right now!â
With that, Rosvitha made it as if to choke Leon, but she didnât put much force into it, merely venting her frustration at her own previous carelessness.
But Leon wasnât about to comply with her wishes.
Seeing him immediately shrink his neck, tucking his chin, Rosvitha found herself at a loss.
In the end, she could only helplessly vent her anger by pounding his shoulder a couple of times before turning away, folding her arms, and sulking in silence.
However, she wasnât angry about the âpregnancyâ itself, nor was she upset about the second child in her belly.
She was only frustrated with her own momentary carelessness and the consequences of her actions. She was worried and confused about the various chain events that followed her pregnancy.
She still remembered how chaotic her life became after she became pregnant with the two sisters, Noia and Muen.
The constant fatigue, morning sickness, dizziness, and various other strange symptoms made it impossible for her to focus on work.
By the mid-term of her pregnancy, Rosvitha couldnât continue her normal duties, so she had to delegate tasks to Anna and focus on nurturing her pregnancy under the care of the maid group.
However, a pregnant womanâs emotions are very unpredictable. Adding to that, her unconventional method of pregnancy was difficult to discuss, and the culprit responsible for all of this was still unconscious in the nursery next door.
This often left her feeling gloomy, and she could only alleviate her low spirits by writing letters to her sister, Isabella.
Now, the culprit had awakened, and not only that, but with their efforts, they had successfully conceived a second child â it was as if the heavens had deliberately given Leon a chance to experience being a âpregnant father.â
Please, sheâd rather not have this chance!
After a moment of silence, Rosvitha sighed. Turning back around, she lowered her gaze, gently stroking her abdomen, and softly said, âAs you said, since it has come to this, letâs settle down and nurture the pregnancy.
Do you have any experience with pregnancy care?â
ââ¦Do you even know if I have experience?â Leon was speechless.
âDuring the first pregnancy, I just passed out and woke up to a kid calling me âdaddyâ while running around everywhere. Do you think I have experience?â
Rosvitha smirked triumphantly. âSo, thatâs a no. Itâs okay, fortunately, I do.â
âHaha, very funny,â Leon grinned, with a teasing undertone.
Despite being each otherâs âfirst love,â one of them had pregnancy experience while the other didnât â a situation often seen when one partner is on their second marriage while the other is on their first.
Leon had seamlessly integrated his abstract life into his marital life with Rosvitha. As a mortal, pulling a dragon into his life, Mr. Leon Casmode was truly one of a kind.
âSince I have experience and you donât, I feel itâs necessary to explain some pregnancy precautions to you,â Rosvitha said seriously.
Leon shrugged. âIâm all ears.â
âI donât know how it is for humans during pregnancy, but for dragons, it often involves loss of appetite, excessive sleepiness, and mood swings. So, can you handle it if I get cranky with you?â Rosvitha inquired.
âNope, if you get cranky with me, Iâll blow up your Silver Dragon Temple,â Leon said as if he meant it.
âI donât believe you,â Rosvitha chuckled, seeing through Leonâs tough talk.
âYouâll see,â Leon sighed, closing his eyes and massaging his temples.
âAlright, but considering how you always contradict me for no reason, I think itâs necessary to remind you: during pregnancy, the woman is the boss, okay?â
Leon squinted, scrutinizing Rosvitha. She smiled lightly, blinking her beautiful eyes back at him. Leon knew exactly what she was up to â behind that radiant smile was her devious mind.
Of course, she also knew that Leon knew what she was up to, but she dared to flaunt her schemes right in front of him.
Rosvitha dared to do this for one reason: she was pregnant. As she had said, during pregnancy, the woman is in charge.
This applies to humans as well. However, the notion of âthe woman is in chargeâ is based on the premise of a normal household.
But take a look at this bizarre coupleâs household. Is it normal? Itâs not normal at all.
Leon probably anticipated that in the days to come, this mother dragon would use the excuse of âIâm pregnantâ to torture him. But he had no choice.
After all, Rosvitha unexpectedly becoming pregnant with their second child wasnât solely her âachievement.â
This situation was different from the âPlayboy Bunny Threat,â âBlack History,â or âRetreat when the enemy advances, attack when the enemy is tiredâ tactics they had used before.
This time, Leon didnât have many options. He could only play it by ear and adapt as things unfolded.
âOK, the woman is in charge, you call the shots,â Leon said.
Rosvitha smiled satisfactorily. âVery good, very enlightened.â
She lowered her head, looking at her still inconspicuous belly, recalling the complex emotions she felt when she confirmed her pregnancy for the first time: anxiety, apprehension, resentment, and anger.
Letâs immerse ourselves once again in this moment. Despite feeling some regret, thereâs more joy and contentment in anticipation of welcoming a new life.
After pondering for a moment, the queen murmured softly, âI wonder who this little one will take after when theyâre born.â
Leon, ever attentive, immediately interjected, âTheyâll definitely take after me more.â
Seemingly, challenging Rosvitha had become second nature to him. Of course, the same applied to Rosvitha.
Rosvitha raised an eyebrow, glancing at him. âDragon Slayer, where does your confidence come from?â
âNoia and Muen give me confidence,â Leon replied with conviction.
Rosvitha snorted. âWhat confidence do two daughters give you? They clearly take after me more.â
Leon shrugged, presenting his evidence. âIâve seen your childhood photos at your sisterâs house. They clearly resemble me more than you.â
Rosvitha raised an eyebrow, her mind working, then calmly replied, âBut they have tails.â
âNoiaâs elemental affinity is the same as mine â both of us are lightning-based,â Leon countered.
Rosvitha repeated calmly, âYouâre right, but they have tails.â
ââ¦Their hair color is predominantly black, which is like mine. Thatâs got to count for something, right?â Leon tried again.
âHmm, but they have tails,â Rosvitha reiterated.
Leon exasperatedly exclaimed, âCan we please stop talking about tails?â
The queen shook her head with a smile. âNo, we canât.â
The tail was the most obvious difference between humans and dragons. As long as Rosvitha held onto this point, no matter what evidence Leon presented, he couldnât overcome the obstacle of âtails.â
Frustrated, the Dragon Slayer stood up abruptly, pointing at Rosvithaâs belly with determination.
âBaby, when youâre born, youâre not allowed to have a tail. Do you hear me?â
