Vol. 1 Ch. 133
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Ten minutes ago, Rosvitha lay in bed tossing and turning, finding it difficult to fall asleep.
There wasnât anything particularly bothering her; it was just a normal insomnia reaction during pregnancy. When she was pregnant with Noia and Muen, she often couldnât fall asleep before midnight.
She lay flat on the bed, staring at the ceiling, the blanket pulled up to her mouth, leaving only her nose exposed for breathing.
Her hands were gently placed on her abdomen, a rather âquietâ sleeping posture. Her silver eyes shone like beautiful crystals in the night, blinking intermittently.
This dragon, once she couldnât sleep, she tended to overthink. Even Rosvitha was no exception. Her thoughts wandered from various embarrassing moments in her childhood to the current pregnancy with their second child.
Over two hundred yearsâ worth of memories passed through her mind in just a few seconds.
The Queen wasnât very familiar with human culture, so she didnât know that this behavior was called âcarousel thinkingâ by humans. But often, just before humans fell asleep, they would review every detail of their lives.
After reminiscing, Rosvitha closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep, but she felt no drowsiness at all. She blinked and fluttered her long eyelashes, remembering the conversation she had with Leon during breakfast today.
Rosvitha briefly recalled the conversation and realized that they both seemed to be deliberately avoiding the topic of the second child.
She didnât know exactly what Leon was thinking, but he had said on the night they confirmed the pregnancy that no matter what, he would face it together with her. She knew Leon wouldnât lie to her.
However, inexplicably, Rosvitha wanted to hear more from him. She wanted to know more about his inner feelings and thoughts regarding this second pregnancy.@@novelbin@@
During pregnancy, all sorts of inexplicable thoughts tend to pop into oneâs mind, even ones that Rosvitha herself wasnât consciously aware of.
But she couldnât just ask Leon directly. That stubborn man would never easily share his true feelings with her.
âWait a minute, true feelingsâ¦â
Rosvitha suddenly sat up in bed, softly and slowly murmuring the words âtrue feelings.â Then she glanced at the clock.
âTwo twenty-five in the morningâ¦â
The Queen smirked to herself. âIsnât it just perfect, my dear captive? I happen to want to play a little game of truth or dare with you at this time.â
She threw off the covers, slipped on her dragon-wing slippers, threw on a sleep robe, and headed out of the room.
Rosvitha cautiously pushed open Leonâs bedroom door. She never locked the door when Leon was sleeping, making it easier for her to conduct surprise âhomework checks.â
At first, Leon tried to resist by locking the door tightly, turning the lock left and right three times. But it proved futile because Rosvitha had the master key that could open all the rooms in the Silver Dragon Temple. Even if Leon turned the lock into a flower, it wouldnât stop her.
Rosvitha quietly opened the door and silently made her way to Leonâs bedroom. It happened to be two thirty in the morning.
She reached the bedside, intending to ask Leon about his thoughts on the second child, but was surprised to find that the man wasnât there!
Frowning, Rosvitha muttered, âWhere is heâ¦â
âSnooze⦠snoozeâ¦â came a soft sound.
The curtains on the side fluttered as the wind blew, making a rustling sound. Rosvitha glanced over and noticed that Leonâs balcony door was open.
Sleeping with the balcony door open in this season? Even if you were the strongest dragon slayer, wouldnât you catch a cold the next morning?
Rosvitha walked slowly to the balcony, looking left and right, but she didnât see anything unusual. However, she also didnât find any trace of Leon.
âNot sleeping in the middle of the night, where did he wander off to?â she muttered to herself, her gaze falling on the balcony of her own room. She blinked and cautiously walked over.
Standing at the balcony railing, Rosvitha looked down and noticed some footprints and marks of friction on the railing. She examined them carefully and concluded that these marks were made just recently.
In an instant, the Queen realized what had happened. She immediately turned around and hurriedly walked back to her own room.
â¦The sound of hurried footsteps approached, it must be Rosvitha. But under no circumstances could she let that mother dragon find him in her bedroom in the middle of the night.
Otherwise, she would have countless reasons to blame Leon. Accuse him of plotting, accuse him of scheming for the throne, accuse him of not being able to resist talking about their homework, just say it straight to her instead of sneaking around like thisâ
oh~ Nï¼ï¼Oï¼ï¼
How could I, Casmode, allow myself to be tainted by others in this life of mine, clear and righteous? I must find a solution, quickly, quickly!
Leon anxiously looked around, brainstorming various strategies in his mind. Should he climb back in through the balcony?
No, Rosvitha was already through the foyer, and in a few seconds, she would be back in her bedroom.
There wasnât enough time, and there was even a risk of being caught in the middle by her. If that mother dragon said, âYou canât move now, can you, dragon slayer?â it would be all over.
Since he couldnât climb back in through the balcony, then⦠hide under the bed? No, that would be too undignified. It would be beneath him as a top-notch dragon slayer.
Leon scanned the room like a sophisticated AI, analyzing the pros and cons of hiding in various corners. Finally, he settled on the study.
Rosvitha usually loved reading, but she wouldnât be reading in the middle of the night, right?
Once his decision was made, Leon swiftly darted into the study. At the moment he closed the door behind him, Rosvitha stepped into the bedroom.
She knew Leon was in the house. But she didnât rush to expose him. Catching prey in the trap was something to savor, to enjoy.
However, she needed to confirm where he was hiding first.
Rosvitha glanced at the balcony and then under the bed, finding no sign of Leon. That left only the bathroom and the study.
The bathroom door was open, indicating he wasnât there. That meant the study was the only place he could be hiding.
Rosvitha understood Leonâs mindset too well at this moment. He must be planning to wait until she fell asleep and then slip away quietly, undetected.
Then, the next morning, he would act as if nothing had happened.
And indeed, hidden in the study, Leon pressed himself against the door, listening intently to the sounds coming from the bedroom.
Why did Rosvitha understand Leonâs thoughts so well? It was because not long ago, during the Bunny Girl incident, she sneaked into Leonâs room to find those Bunny Girl photos, only to be caught red-handed by Leon, cornered in the bathroom!
Gee, that was truly a memorable day. She almost started hating the bathroom because of that incident.
And now, the tables have turned, roles reversed. Because she once got caught in the rain, sheâs now going to snatch Leonâs umbrella!
âYouâre waiting for me to go to bed, arenât you? Fine, Iâll sleep and let you listen.â
Rosvitha deliberately walked to the side of the bed with slightly heavy steps, then lifted the covers twice, creating the sound of covering herself, making Leon think she had already laid down.
Then, she took off her shoes and quietly walked to the door of the study, silently waiting for someone to open the door from inside.
Rosvitha breathed lightly; she knew that in tense situations, the senses would be particularly acute. Leon must be just one door away from her now.
If she suddenly banged on the door now, it would definitely scare the living daylights out of that man.
But that momentary fear and shock would be too cheap for him. Rosvitha wanted to torture him slowly, just like before, to enjoy his helpless appearance.
So, time passed second by second. About twenty minutes later, Leon hiding in the study thought that Rosvitha should be almost asleep.
After listening for any movement and confirming there were no sounds, he gently pressed down the door handle.
Freedom, he would soon be free. Opening this door, walking through the corridor, returning to his room, and then covering himself with the blanket, burying his head to sleep deeply. Tomorrow, waking up as if nothing had happened.
Plan failed!
Leon bit his tongue, as if all the strength in his body was concentrated in the hand pressing down on the door handle, but the movement was still gentle and slow, afraid to make any noise.
Clickâ it opened.
Leon gently pulled the door open, ready to greet thatâ
âHi, dear captive, didnât expect you to love studying so much. Sneaking into my study to read in the dead of night?â
Bam!!
Leon slammed the door shut heavily, then leaned back against the door, breathing heavily.
Outside the door, Rosvitha remained calm, a smile playing at her lips, and she said calmly, âOpen the door.â
No response.
Rosvitha chuckled, then cleared her throat, âNext up is Miss Melkviâs request for Mr. Leon, a song called âOpen the Door,â please enjoy.â
âLittle Leon, open the door, I want to come in~â
âYou give up, Mother Dragon, I wonât open the door for you!â
Listening to Leonâs response, which mirrored her own earlier, Rosvitha covered her mouth and chuckled lightly.
Is this what it feels like to have someone trapped?
Fantastic!
Everyone says thereâs no such thing as a perfect shared experience, but Rosvitha just wanted to say that they havenât encountered this queen and her captive.
Now, at this moment, she perfectly understands how Leon felt at that time!
The melodious song came through, but behind the door, Leon felt it was the whisper of death.
He couldnât open the door.
Absolutely not.
Iâll drag this out as long as I can!
âOpen the door, Leon. Do you want to hide in there forever? Come out, I wonât do anything to you,â Rosvitha said.
Leon blinked, as if remembering something, and hurriedly said, âYou really canât do anything to me, Rosvitha. Youâre pregnant now, we canât doââ
âI know, thatâs why I said it. Come out and talk to me.â
Rosvitha also knew that during pregnancy, intercourse was not allowed. So, she really couldnât do anything to herself.
Leon breathed a sigh of relief and cautiously opened the door to the study.
The silver-haired beauty leaned against the door frame, hands crossed over her chest, smiling as she looked at Leon. âComing to my room in the dead of night, what do you want?â
Leonâs gaze shifted, stuttering, âNothingâ¦â
âNot talking? Alright, I have ways to make you talk.â
Leon swallowed nervously. After all, he had trespassed into the Mother Dragonâs boudoir without justification, so he naturally lost the upper hand.
He scrutinized Rosvitha, wondering what other tricks she had besides submitting assignments.
Rosvithaâs beautiful eyes stared at him, and then, it seemed like something was moving beneath her nightgown.
The next moment, a silver tail slowly emerged from beneath the hem of her dress.
Leon stared at the agile tail, as if suddenly realizing something terrifying.
âNo way⦠Rosvitha, you wouldnât do that, right?â
