Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
âI suggest you live together.â
Less than twenty-four hours after the Silver Dragon Queen sentenced her prisoner, Leon Casmode, with the household rule of âno entry into my room after seven,â their eldest daughter, Noia, made the above suggestion.
Rosvitha thought to herself, âSweetheart, youâre barely over a year old and already going against mommy. Whatâs this, you trying to usurp the throne?â
But letâs rewind to just over ten minutes ago.
Today was Friday, and Noia returned home from St. Hys Academy after school. After exchanging affectionate greetings with her sister, it was time for the weekly family dinner for the family of four.
Since the couple had agreed to inform their daughters about the impending arrival of their second child, they exchanged a subtle nod before dinner.
This was the signal to start the planned conversation.
Following their prior discussion, they decided to break the news to Muen first.
âMuen,â Leon softly called his younger daughterâs name.
The fluffy dragon lifted her head from her delicious steak, some meat still clinging to the corners of her mouth. âWhatâs up, Daddy?â
âNow that your sister is going to school and is often not at home, and sometimes Mommy and Daddy have things to do, do you ever feel lonely or bored?â Leon asked.
Muen, holding her utensils, blinked her beautiful big eyes and pondered for a moment before replying, âNope.â
The couple exchanged a puzzled glance.
Wait, what? Shouldnât you be saying, âMuen is indeed very bored and wishes someone would keep Muen company, sob sobâ?
With this, Mommy and Daddy can naturally proceed to give you a little sister or brother.
Although Muenâs response exceeded Leon and Rosvithaâs expectations, they still, in accordance with their principle of respecting their daughter, asked for the reasons.
Muen replied, âDaddy and Mommy and big sister all have things to do, canât play with Muen, Muen understands, wonât feel bored. Muen will patiently wait for you to finish, then come find you.â
So understanding, surpassing ninety-nine percent of one-year-olds worldwide!
But honey, you donât have to be this understanding right now.
Mommy and Daddy really want to give you a little companion!
Seeing the first tactic fail, the couple seamlessly transitioned to the second one.
âSo, Muen, if possible, would you like our family to have⦠some other family members?â Hearing this, Noia also lifted her head.
The clever dragon princess vaguely guessed what Mommy and Daddy were about to say, but she didnât let on. After all, it seemed they wanted to start with Muen, not her.
She decided to just eat quietly, observe the situation, and see what tricks Dad and Mom could come up with.
Muen tilted her head and murmured, âNew family members?⦠Sure, sure.â
Leon and Rosvithaâs eyes lit up. A door opened!
But before Rosvitha could ask Muen if she wanted a little sister or brother, Muen eagerly added, full of anticipation and longing, âMuen has always wanted to raise a slime! Daddy and Mommy, will you give Muen a slime?â
âPfftâcough cough~ cough coughââ Noia choked on the water she had just drunk because of her sisterâs words.
Muen quickly moved closer to her sister. âAre you okay, big sister?â
Noia waved her hand. âIâm fine⦠you keep listening to Mommy and Daddy.â
âOhâ¦â
Muen turned her head back to Leon and Rosvitha.
The expressions on their faces were similar to Noiaâs just now. If they had also tried the tactical drinking move, they might have spewed out even more water than Noia did.
The difference between a slime and a second child⦠was it too big?
Indeed, while Muen was understanding, her thought process as a one-year-old dragoness was still quite unpredictable.
Rosvitha pursed her lips and rephrased, âMuen, the new family member we mentioned isnât a slime⦠or any other kind of pet.â
Muen scratched her head. âWhen you asked if Muen would be bored without anyone to play with, Muen thought you were going to give Muen a pet.â
âSo, Mommy and Daddy, what are you trying to say? Muen feels like youâre beating around the bush.â
Seeing that their youngest daughter had caught on to something, Leon decided to come clean.
He licked his lips and observed Muenâs expression as he spoke, âItâs just⦠your Mommy⦠is pregnant again.â
As soon as the words left his mouth, Muenâs fluffy tuft of hair stood up straight on her head! And it happened in an instant!
Her big eyes widened and sparkled! The little dragonessâs face was filled with a myriad of incredulous and shocked expressions.
The steak on her plate suddenly didnât look as appetizing anymore.
Muen stepped on her chair, leaned against the edge of the table, and her whole body almost threw itself onto Leon and Rosvitha.@@novelbin@@
The couple quickly reached out to protect their precious daughter, afraid she might dive headfirst into the salad bowl.
âReally? Mommy is really pregnant?â Muen asked excitedly.
Rosvithaâs face blushed, she nodded, gently touched her small abdomen, and softly affirmed, âYes, mommy is pregnant.â
Muenâs tail began to wag excitedly.
âThatâs great!â
Seeing their daughterâs reaction, the couple breathed a sigh of relief. They had thought it might be difficult for her to accept, as not all children could easily accept the idea of having a younger sister or brother, no matter how good or understanding they were.
But thankfully, Muenâs reaction seemed genuine enough, which eased their worries a bitâ
Or so they thought.
Before they could fully relax, they heard Muen continue, âThen Muen also wantsâ¦â
âWants?â
âAlso wants a big sister! âªÏâªâ
Rosvitha: ââ¦â
Leon: ââ¦â
Noia: âSibling obsession is real, I understand.â
Leon realized he might have been too focused on teaching his daughter practical skills and overlooked some basic common sense education.
Hence, Muen might have gotten the impression that if she wished for something, her mom could just give birth to it.
If that were true, Leon would have ordered a âYoung Rosvithaâ from the mother dragon long ago.
You canât bully the adult you, but you can definitely bully the younger you, right?
âActually, Muen, mommy canât just give you a big sisterâ¦â Leon tried to explain.
The little dragon blinked. âItâs okay.â
Good daughter. Strange ideas come and go quickly, no need for dad to waste too much breathâ
âIf a big sister is not possible, then I guess a big brother would be okay too,â Muen said earnestly.
Leon banged his head on the table, giving up on explaining.
Finally, it was the queenâs turn to intervene. âMuen, neither a big sister nor a big brother is possible. If we go by your logic, you can only choose between a little sister or a little brother.â
Pausing for a moment, Rosvitha felt like her own train of thought was being derailed by her daughter.
She added, âBut actually, itâs not something we can choose⦠whether itâs a little sister or a little brother, mommy canât guarantee.â
âIs that soâ¦â Muenâs eyes lit up. âThen Muen wants a little sister! Mommy, you have to try hard to give Muen a little sister, okay~â
Well, even though it sounded a bit strange, at least Muen understood now.
Rosvitha smiled and nodded. âMommy will try her best.â
After sorting out their youngest daughter, the couple turned their attention to their eldest.
Unlike Muen, Noia remained calm, as if she had expected this turn of events.
She lifted her head, blinked, and said, âHmm? Is it my turn? I donât mind, but I have a suggestion.â
The couple was taken aback, not expecting Noia to be so composed about the matter. But upon reflection, it did fit her âlittle adultâ personality.
Even though she was excited inside, she maintained an appearance of âjust being pregnant, no big deal.â
âWhatâs your suggestion?â Leon asked.
âI suggest you two should live together,â Noia said.
