Vol. 1 Ch. 16
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Except during ârevenge,â Rosvitha rarely initiated conversations with Leon. Of course, Leon was too lazy to seek her out actively for a chat.
In the eyes of outsiders, they might be a couple who respected each other, leading a busy yet harmonious married life. But only they themselves knew what hidden under the surface of this harmony was.
Leon and Rosvitha gazed at each other for a while, neither speaking up. Rosvitha had no intention of wasting more time, so she turned around to take her leave.
âHey!â
Leonâs voice suddenly came from above.
Rosvitha stopped, turned back, and looked up.
âI want to go out for a walk,â Leon said. âStaying in the house all the time is suffocating.â
As soon as the words were spoken, Rosvitha appeared outside the balcony. She flapped the dragon wings behind her, hovering in the air, with her long silver tail hanging down to maintain balance.
Leon was startled, thinking he might have said something wrong again and upset the dragoness.
âYou can only leave this room when youâre playing games with Muen,â Rosvitha said coldly.
âBut⦠but wonât Muen find it strange?â
âWhatâs strange?â
âHer father only goes out when playing with her, spending the rest of the time in the house. Sheâs bound to be suspicious, right?â
âDad isnât feeling well and canât go out casually. That reason is sufficient.â
ââ¦Youâve thought it through quite thoroughly.â
âPlay the role of a good dad, donât think about or do anything else, understand?â Rosvitha said coldly.
Leon shrugged and didnât respond. He didnât feel like asking Rosvitha anything else. He didnât have anything else he wanted to ask Rosvitha.
Going for a walk had become a luxury, so what else was there to discuss?
Leon waved his hand, turned around, and walked towards the bedroom.
Watching Leonâs slender and lonely figure, Rosvithaâs pupils trembled slightly. A fleeting expression of something other than indifference crossed her cold eyes.
âLeon.â She called after him.
Leon halted, half turning back, âWhat?â
âMuen will come to you in the afternoon. You need to teach her how to write her name.â
Leon frowned slightly, âAnd then?â
âIn the evening, I will check her learning progress. If she has learned it, you can walk with me in the garden tomorrow for an hour.â
Leon blinked, seizing a keyword, âWalk with youâ¦?â
Rosvitha was slightly surprised, but she didnât show much panic. She continued calmly, âDonât misunderstand. I just want to keep an eye on you. Youâre quite cunning. If it were someone else, they might let you escape.â
Leon chuckled, âHow hard can it be teaching a kid to write their name?â
âI didnât say it was her name,â Rosvitha said. âShe has to write the names of our entire family.â
âIncluding mine?â
âObviously, youâre her dad.â
ââ¦Alright, itâs a promise, no backing out.â
Rosvitha snorted coldly, âI donât need to promise you anything, Leon.â
âMother dragon, youâre truly hard to please.â
Rosvitha ignored Leon and flew away.
Leon also withdrew his gaze and walked towards the inner room. But after taking only two steps, he suddenly realised a very serious issue, immediately rushed back to the balcony, and shouted down to Rosvitha,
âHey, Mother Dragon, you havenât told me your last name yet!â
âLeon Casmode.â
âHiss⦠What a twisted name.â
While Leon complained, he wrote his and Rosvithaâs names on paper.
Then he added below, âMuen Melkvi.â
In fact, he originally wanted to tease Muen a bit, making her think he shared Leonâs surname.
But the thought of Rosvitha discovering his little scheme in the evening worried him that he wouldnât escape unscathed. So, he tried his best not to provoke the Mother Dragon over such matters. Therefore, in the afternoon, he taught the little dragon girl to write these three names.
Generally, human infants start to learn some basic literacy skills around the age of three. However, a dragon girl born from the union of humans and dragon blood should be more intelligent than normal children.
So, teaching her these basic skills when Muen was a little over a year old posed no issues. Thinking about this, Leon couldnât help but marvel at waking up precisely at the right moment.
If he had woken up a bit earlier, Muen wouldnât have been walking yet, and he wouldnât be so tired, If she woke up a bit later, Rosvitha would probably seek someone else to teach her some basic knowledge, and Leon wouldnât have to take care of the child every day.@@novelbin@@
It was hard not to suspect that the Mother Dragon calculated the timing of his awakening when rescuing him.
Leon shook his head to clear his thoughts.
He looked at the three names he had just written and contemplated how he would teach Muen to write them later.
âMelkvi⦠Melkviâ¦â
Although it was a bit tricky to pronounce, Leon, as he chanted, connected some dots.
âMelkviâOh~ So itâs a transliteration of âMilky Way.'â
Unexpectedly, the dragons had a bit of romanticism regarding naming.
Thinking about this, Leon couldnât help but marvel at waking up precisely at the right moment.
âMuen⦠whatâs wrong?â
The little dragon girl gave him a disdainful look, ignored him, slammed the door shut, and walked away.
The stubborn footsteps gradually faded away, leaving Leon alone in the messy entrance.
After regaining his senses, Leon approached, wanting to open the door to see what was going on. But as soon as he stepped, the door panel was pushed in from the outside.
âDad, are you okay?â Muen ran over in concern and helped Leon up.
Worried, Muen ran over and helped Leon up. Leon was left dizzy by the impact, but fortunately, his master had taught him the Adamantine Body Technique in his youth. If he could withstand crushing boulders on his chest, could he not withstand a door panel from his little dragon daughter? A momentary dizziness was all.
After a brief moment of recovery, he was fine.
âSorry, Dad, Muen, Muen hurt youâ¦â The little dragon girl pinched Leonâs sleeve, expressing her distress.
Leon was dumbfounded.
She had just said Leon couldnât touch her, and it hadnât even been a minute. How did things suddenly change?
Could it beâ¦
