Vol. 1 Ch. 17
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Leon sat at the table with Muenâs support.
Muen raised her little hand, gently rubbing Leonâs nose bridge, apologising sweetly.
âSorry, Daddy, Muen didnât mean to. Muen didnât expect a gentle push on the door to send Daddy so far away.â
She pouted, her warm eyes gleaming as if she would cry if Leon didnât forgive her.
âDoes Daddy still hurt? Muen will blow on it for you, and it wonât hurt anymore~â
Leon lifted Muen onto his lap, wiping away the warm liquid from the corners of her eyes. âItâs okay, Muen, donât think too much. Daddyâs fault. I couldnât even handle a simple wooden board. In the future, Daddy will exercise more and try to resist better.â
Muen laughed and wiped the corner of her eye, âAs long as Daddyâs not hurt, itâs good!â
Leon smiled and pinched Muenâs little nose, âAlright, letâs goâchua~.â
He made a gesture like turning a page in a book, âLetâs turn this over and forget about it, okay?â
Muen squinted and smiled, softly responding, âOkay~ Daddy is the best~.â
With that, Muen hugged Leonâs neck and kissed his cheek firmly.
Leon, pleasantly surprised by the affection, couldnât help but have some additional thoughts. Why did it feel like being charmed by his daughterâ¦
Five minutes ago, âDonât touch me, idiot.â
Five minutes later, âDaddy is the best, muuuua~.â
Sighâ
Dragons were truly creatures that were hard to understand.
âDaddy, what are we going to do this afternoon?â
This question caught Leon off guard. He picked up the paper on the table and pointed to the contents, âIn the afternoon, Daddy will teach you to write these three names. How about that?â
Learning to read and write was a new and interesting thing for Muen.
She nodded, âYes, yes, Daddy, teach me quickly!â
âDidnât Mom teach you before?â Leon asked casually while preparing paper and pen.
âMother said to wait until you woke up and let you teach me, hehe~.â
Damn.
Mother dragon should have a name Laziness.
Muen grabbed a small stool and sat next to Leon.
Leon first taught her the proper way to hold the pen.
Muen quickly grasped it and could hold the pen steadily after a few tries. Then, Leon began teaching her from the stage of recognising characters.
âDonât press too hard, or you might pierce through the paper. Take it slow, donât rush.â
âMmm.â
Muenâs understanding was also good. With a little guidance from Leon, she could replicate his name following the same pattern.
âGreat job, Muen. Now, letâs move on to memorising the stroke order of the letters,â Leon said.
âHuh? Is there a specific order for that too? Muen thought you just needed to write them.â
âOf course, there are rules. Without rules, thereâs no order. If thereâs no prescribed order, itâs not writing. Itâs drawing.â
Leon patiently explained, âWith a prescribed order, the letters you write will look better, Muen.â
âOkay~ I got it, Daddy. Iâll practice hard!â
âMmm, letâs continue.â
Leon began teaching the stroke order of the letters.
At first, Muen couldnât help but write whichever stroke she found easier, but with Leonâs patient correction and natural aptitude, she quickly wrote the name âLeon Casmodeâ beautifully.
Leon was satisfied with her progress. Next, they moved on to practising Rosvithaâs name. Her name posed a bit more difficulty.
However, perhaps due to the buff from âMother Dragon,â Muen practised with extra diligence.
When practising Leonâs name, she used three pages of paper, but when practising Rosvithaâs name, Muen used a full seven or eight pages.
Leon looked at the table full of paper and said softly, âYou really like writing your momâs name so muchâ¦â
âUmmâ¦â
âYou keep practising, Daddy needs to use the restroom.â
âOh, okay.â
Muen blinked her pretty eyes.
At a young age, she couldnât understand the meaning of âbeing jealous.â
But she could sense that Daddy seemed to care about the different page numbers of her paper practice. So, while Leon was in the restroom, Muen quietly picked up her pen and started rewriting Leonâs name.
In no time, she practised many more sheets of âLeon Casmode.â
â1, 2, 3⦠11 sheets, Daddy, Muen wrote 11 sheets of your name!â
When Leon returned, Muen happily held up the 11 sheets of paper for him to see.
Leon was momentarily surprised, and his heart warmed. He said,
âGood girl.
Youâre truly a little cotton-padded jacket, understanding your old father so well!
Youâre a thousand times better than your stubborn donkey mother!â
Leon embraced Muenâs small face and affectionately rubbed it.
Muenâs chubby cheeks were squashed flat, but she was very happy. It seemed like the first time Daddy initiated such intimacy with her.
âAlright, letâs practice the last name, which is your own, Muen Melkvi.â
âHmm? Isnât Muen your name?â
Leon blinked, âCould it be that we have different understandings of âMuenââ¦â
âNo, no, itâs a middle name. Muen has a middle name.â
The custom of having a middle name is quite common among the descendants of the imperial family in the empire. It often took the surname of someone who married or was adopted into the royal family.
It also represented the royal familyâs respect for that person, acknowledging their status within the royal family.
Leon didnât expect that this custom also existed within the dragon race.
âNo, no, itâs a middle name. Muen has a middle name.â
Leon pursed his lips, a bit unclear about what the mother dragon was thinking.
Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, he said, âAlright, Daddy understands. Letâs start practising your name.â
When writing her name, Muen was also very serious. Her name was pronounced like âmoon,â and it was also easy to spell.
Not everyone was like that mother dragon Rosvitha, given such an awkward and tongue-twisting name. Leon was even worried that in the future, during the passionate moments of resonance due to their dragon marks, he might accidentally call out the wrong name.
âDone practising! Daddy, how does it look?â
Leon looked at the paper.
Muenâs handwriting was neat, and the strokes were consistent. For a child, it was already excellent.
He patted Muenâs head satisfactorily, âHmm, Muen, youâre amazing. Youâve learned the names of our family so quickly.â
âMmm.â
Muen was momentarily stunned, then shook her head, âNo, no. If weâre a family, then weâre missing one.â
Leonâs heart skipped a beat, and the smile on his face suddenly froze.
A family still missing oneâ¦@@novelbin@@
Thinking back to the grumpy version of Muen he encountered at noonâ¦
So, there was only one truth!
Leon couldnât help but swallow hard.
âSo, it turns out I wasnât just passionately captivated from the beginning, but also⦠a double shot!â
