In the end, Leon devised effective tutoring methods suitable for Noia’s current situation.

Among the books just delivered by Head Maid Anna were some past test papers from St. Hys Academy.

Leon quickly glanced at these test questions, all related to dragon knowledge. Seeing this, Leon breathed a sigh of relief. As a top dragon slayer in the empire, he believed he understood dragons better than the dragons themselves.

Even though his body wasn’t as capable as before, he hadn’t forgotten the knowledge he acquired.

Leon planned to teach Noia using his understanding of dragons, test questions and content from dragon-related books.

Leon formulated the supplementary study plan swiftly. As a former top dragon slayer graduate of the Dragon Slayer Academy, he said, “Okay, Noia, let’s get started officially. The first thing we’re learning is how dragons use magic.”

He pushed a basic magic book in front of Noia and said, “This book is well-designed. The titles in the table of contents are clear and concise, covering the corresponding content.”

“My idea is this.”

“First, quickly scan through the table of contents. Then, based on the levels of ‘easy to understand,’ ‘somewhat understandable,’ and ‘completely incomprehensible,’ use green, yellow, and red pens to mark the titles.”

“Because I just checked the information from previous years and found that to pass the entrance test for St. Hys Academy, it’s generally prepared a year in advance.”

“But we only have one month left.”

“So we must try every possible way to improve the efficiency of our review.”

“I believe in you, Noia. You can do it.”

“Once you’re ready, let’s begin.”

Leon pushed the pens of three different colours and the book of magic basics she needed to study in front of her.

Noia’s emotional control was impeccable. Although surprised by the efficiency of this dad taking care of the child, she didn’t act too much like a child.

After taking the book and pen, she started marking the table of contents according to Leon’s method.

Watching his eldest daughter’s serious demeanour, Leon felt quite satisfied. There was no unnecessary communication, no meaningless questions. Everything was for the sake of efficiency.

However, teaching a student like Noia put some pressure on Leon as a teacher. Noia’s learning ability was undoubtedly much stronger than Muen’s, and Leon must always stay ahead as the one imparting knowledge to her.

“It’s all marked.”

Noia’s voice brought him back from his memories.

Leon collected his thoughts, took the book, and checked the table of contents annotated by Noia.

“Yeah, not bad. Seventy percent of the difficulty is in green and yellow, and only a few chapters are too challenging for you to understand, right?”

Noia nodded.

“Okay, these are just a simple overview of our learning framework. Just because we marked something in yellow doesn’t mean we truly don’t understand it. Similarly, not everything marked in yellow is necessarily fully understood. So, in the next step, I’ll focus on explaining the chapters you marked in yellow, and we can discover any issues during the explanation, alright?”

“Okay.”

Leon nodded and began explaining the sections Noia had marked in yellow. Class time passed quickly, and three hours flew by. Leon wrote and drew on the book, covering all the key points with Noia. The next step was the practical application to understand the knowledge truly.

He found a set of past test questions, “Let’s go through the questions first. This way, we can visually identify where we still need improvement.”

“Let’s begin,” “Our shortcomings”…

Noia noticed that Leon often used these terms to refer to both of them.

And he rarely used expressions like “Do you understand?” or the like.

Noia didn’t know if he did it intentionally or not, but this way of speaking made it easy for people to follow his train of thought.

Noia shook her head, choosing not to dwell on things outside of studying. She took the test paper, picked up a pen, and answered the questions.

The test questions mainly were comprehension and straightforward, without any numerical calculations, so Noia quickly handled them.

She bit the eraser of her pencil, furrowed her brow, and patiently examined each question. It was hard to imagine a child over one-year-old being so focused on thinking.

After arriving at an answer, Noia’s usually expressionless face unconsciously broke into a smile. But as soon as she noticed Leon watching her from the side, she immediately reverted to her usual expressionless demeanour. It was quite adorable. This cuteness was different from Muen’s. It was more subtle and reserved.

Twenty minutes later, she handed the test paper to Leon.

Leon checked the answers and finally calculated Noia’s score.

“Out of 100 points, guess how much you scored?” Leon wanted to use this opportunity to ease the tense studying atmosphere.

“50?”

“62.”

“Oh.”

Leon put down the test paper and said with a smile, “You got 62 on your first attempt, which is already impressive.”

“Thank you.”

“What did you say?” Leon didn’t hear clearly.

Noia nodded in acknowledgement and didn’t ask further.

Leon stretched lazily, stood up to loosen his muscles, and then sat back down to prepare for the afternoon teaching.

As he had thought, having an intelligent student wasn’t easy. He had to stay ahead of Noia to guide her properly. Of course, he probably guessed the other reason why Rosvitha specifically asked him to teach Noia. It was to take the opportunity to let the eldest daughter torment Leon a bit.

Muen naturally had a fondness for Leon, and it was unnecessary to cultivate their relationship too much. But Noia was different.

At such a young age, she had her thoughts and way of doing things, making it difficult for her to accept someone who had been in a coma for two years as her father.

Of course, besides this, Leon faintly felt that Noia harboured some resentment towards him, and there were likely other reasons for it.

With her intelligence, she might have already noticed that the man who should be called “father” didn’t have such a good relationship with her mom, right?

So, in this teaching session, Leon wouldn’t just go through the motions, and he wouldn’t consider the eldest daughter to be a torment to himself.

He would take it seriously, hoping to change some of Noia’s views about him.
