Vol. 2 Ch. 95
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Rosvisser lay on the bed, one long leg lifted high into the air.
The warm sunlight streamed through the thin curtains, casting a soft, golden glow on her smooth skin. She elegantly rotated her ankle, as though admiring the perfect contours of her leg.
Usually, Rosvisser wasnât this vain.
But todayâs âbreakfastâ had been quite enjoyable.
âSo dirty.â
âSo indecent.â
âAnd itâs all yours.â
Small, shimmering droplets glistened under the sunlight.
This feeling was like a delicate, silken thread, tracing a sensual path down her leg, adding a layer of allure. Rosvisser gently swung her leg, savoring the pleasant sensation as it slowly trickled down, leaving a tingling trail of warmth behind.
She controlled every movement with almost artistic precision, ensuring that the process was elegant and clean, without letting a single drop fall onto the pristine white sheets.
Otherwise, cleaning up would be quite a hassle.
Leon closed his eyes, unable to watch. âPlease, just wash it off already.â
âWhatâs the rush? Iâm someone with a cleanliness obsession, and even Iâm not in a hurry to wash it. So why are you?â
Rosvisserâs tone was calm and leisurely. âOr maybe you feel particularly ashamed for dirtying my feet and legs like this, Leon?â
ââ¦â@@novelbin@@
He had thought that after six months apart, the dragon queen would have toned down her playful antics a bit.
But to his surprise, not only had she not toned it down, she seemed to have taken it up a notch.
It was like parents coming home after a year of working away and seeing how much their child had grown.
The first thing they would say was always the classic, âYouâve grown so much!â
In reality, if the child had been with them the entire time, the parents wouldnât notice the gradual change in height.
In the same way, if Leon had been around Rosvisser continuously, he wouldnât have noticed how her playful tricks had evolved in his six-month absence.
Looks like he just found another reason to stay by her side.
The sticky âthreadâ on her leg gradually cooled, losing its initial sensation. With that, Rosvisserâs interest waned as well.
âHelp me wash it off.â
âWhy donât you just take a bath?â
âWhoever makes the mess cleans it up, right? You were the one who got it on me.â
There was no point in trying to argue with a woman.
Especially a woman who had lived over 200 years.
Leon grimaced, got out of bed, and went to the bathroom to fetch a basin of warm water.
Rosvisser laid a blanket on the edge of the bed and sat on it, ensuring that nothing from her legs would accidentally touch the sheets.
Leon placed the water basin beneath the bed, and Rosvisser tentatively dipped her foot in.
The temperature was just rightânot too hot, not too cold.
After living together for so long, Leon had learned how to adjust the water to her exact preferences.
âYou put thought into this,â Rosvisser praised with a smile.
âHmph, I just didnât want you nagging me.â
Leon gently pressed down on the top of Rosvisserâs foot, letting the water cascade over it.
âIf the water were too hot, youâd say I did it on purpose. If it were too cold, youâd say I wasnât being attentive. So, I figured Iâd save myself the trouble and get it right.â
Rosvisserâs smile widened. Her gaze shifted from Leonâs face to the water basin as she spoke with a touch of pride and satisfaction.
âStop pretending. You care about me. You want to take care of me.â
âDragon queen, I swear, Iâm about to throw this foot bath water in your face.â
âWow, half an hour ago you were saying you loved everything about me, and now youâre threatening to splash foot water in my face? See? You really canât trust a manâs words when heâs in bed.â
Leon finished washing her foot and carefully cleaned off the remaining traces from her calf and inner thigh. âYou donât trust what I say in bed, and you shouldnât trust what I say outside of it either. After all, what kind of prisoner would speak the whole truth to their queen every day?â
His fingers and palms, roughened from years of combat and practicing magic, left a distinct sensation as they glided over Rosvisserâs legs.
Rosvisser didnât mind the roughness. In fact, she liked itâLeonâs touch always gave her a sense of security.
âSpeaking of which, something just came to mind.â
âWhat is it?â
âBefore you entered the space rift⦠did you say something to me?â
Leonâs hand paused mid-wash, and he pursed his lips, trying to play dumb.
âNo, I didnât say anything.â
âNo, you definitely said something,â Rosvisser insisted. âYou turned around, called my name, and said something else. But the sound of the magic currents was too loud, and I couldnât hear clearly. But I could see from your lips that you said something.â
Leon lowered his head, speeding up the washing process to hide his growing unease.
âYou must have imagined it. People tend to see things when theyâre nervous.â
While he had decided back in the future that he would be more open with Rosvisser once they reunited, saying those three words out loudâespecially during a foot bathâfelt a bit too forward.
Besides, there was no ceremony to it.
Even though Rosvisser usually acted like she didnât care about anything (except for their âassignmentsâ), Leon knew she actually valued things like ceremony.
Take her birthday, for example. Initially, she just wanted to mess with Leon a bit. But when she saw the surprises he had carefully prepared for her, the joy and satisfaction in her eyes had been unmistakable.
So, those three words definitely needed to be said.
But at the right moment.
Seeing that Leon had no intention of speaking, Rosvisser snorted. âFine, donât say it. After allââ
Leon slowed down his washing, wondering if she was mad.
Were they about to enter another round of marital bickering? To his surpriseâ
âAfter all, Iâll get you to say it eventually.â
Rosvisser spoke with a pout, âIâll make you admit that you care about me, that you canât stand being away from me, that you feel like dragon markings are crawling on your skin when you donât see me for a day. Cosmod, just you wait.â
Oh.
Your Majesty, thatâs quite the direct yet roundabout statement.
A lot of this is probably what youâd like to say to me, isnât it?
Leon could guess the hidden meaning behind her words.
It was just like that night on the balcony when she got him to drink, then gently coaxed him into saying he liked her.
These were clearly her own feelings, but she insisted that the other person say them first.
Not because of anything other than her strange sense of competition.
Understanding this, Leon chuckled softly, grabbed a towel, and slowly dried off her leg and foot.
âWell, Iâll be waiting, then. Letâs see whether you get me to say it first or⦠if you end up giving in and admitting it yourselfâhey! What are you doing?â
Before he had finished drying her foot, Rosvisser pressed it firmly against his chest.
From his half-crouched position, Leonâs gaze traveled up her pale, smooth leg, all the way to the edge of the bedâa sight that was both provocative and intimate.
âIâm certain youâll be the one who canât hold out, Leon.â
If Leon was going to challenge her, how could she not push back? After all, teasing each other was what they did best as a couple.
Leon sighed with a smile, shaking his head as he moved her foot away from his chest. He stood up with the basin in hand.
He didnât want to continue this conversationâit would go on forever if he did.
Once he stood, Leon glanced down at the water in the basin and asked, âYour Majesty, I have a rather strange request.â
Rosvisserâs face darkened instantly. âYou are *not* drinking my foot bath water.â
Leon grinned. âGet dressed. Letâs go out for a walk later, shall we?â
