Vol. 2 Ch. 98
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Moon lay sprawled across her bed, her little tail hanging lazily over the edge, swinging back and forth.
Her droopy hair matched her mood, slumped down over her head without any bounce.@@novelbin@@
âSecond Sister, stop moping. Dad and Mom are back,â Aurora called from the balcony.
At the sound of that, Moon immediately perked up. She bounced off the bed, her short legs propelling her quickly toward the balcony.
But when she looked over the railing and saw her parents walking hand in hand, completely wrapped up in each other, her excitement quickly faded.
âAww, thereâs no way theyâll have time to play with me like this. Seriously... Do Dad and Mom not love me anymore?â she pouted.
Noa, the eldest, walked over and patted Moonâs head. âDonât say that. Itâs been a while since theyâve seen each other. Let them spend some time together.â
âHmm...â Moonâs hair wiggled, as if in thought, and then suddenly shot upright. âOh! Big Sister, remember that âKissing Operationâ we came up with at the beach to make Mom and Dad kiss?â
Noa paused, thinking back.
Indeed, during their beach trip, the two sisters had come up with a plan to get their parents to kiss, thinking that it would make their mother pregnant. They staged a little drama by pretending their mom needed CPR, resulting in a hilarious and chaotic scene.
Although they both ended up getting a playful scolding from their dad, it had been fun.
âI remember. What about it?â
âBut itâs been so long, and Momâs tummy is still flat,â Moon said, tilting her head. âThereâs no sign of a baby.â
She remembered how, when their mom was pregnant with Aurora, her belly had gradually grown.
âSo... youâre still hoping for another baby sister?â Noa asked.
Moon eagerly nodded. âYep, yep!â
Aurora, standing between her two older sisters, looked up at Noa and Moon, then asked with an innocent expression, âWhat, Second Sister, are you bored of me already, even though Iâm only a year old?â
Moon immediately pulled Aurora into a tight hug. âOf course not, Aurora~ Youâre my favorite!â
âThen why do you want another baby sister?â
âUh... the more, the merrier, you know,â Moon said, rubbing her cheek against Auroraâs soft face like she was cuddling a cute kitten.
Aurora allowed herself to be squished for a moment, then looked over at Noa. âSo, Big Sister, are you guys going to do another âKissing Operationâ to make them kiss and have another sibling?â
Noa stroked her chin, seriously considering the idea. âWell⦠Dadâs been pretty exhausted lately, and he hasnât been teaching me any new magic... Since thereâs not much else to do, we might as well restart the operation.â
Aurora blinked her big eyes and asked, âSo you two think that if you make Dad and Mom kiss, theyâll give us another baby brother or sister, right?â
âMm-hmm! Youâre so smart, Aurora!â Moon said, praising her.
Aurora smirked but didnât answer.
*Who told these two that kissing leads to babies?* she thought.
*Creating life is definitely a more complicated process!*
Even though she didnât fully understand what that more âcomplex processâ entailed, she was sure it wasnât as simple as just kissing.
Butâ¦
Aurora glanced between her two older sisters.
Noa was acting like she was just going along with it for fun, while Moon was bubbling with excitement at the thought of another sibling.
Neither of them seemed to realize that their plan wouldnât actually make their mom pregnant.
Well then...
Auroraâs lips curled into a mischievous smile.
In that case, Iâll just pretend I donât know either!
After all, getting Mom and Dad to kiss sounded way more fun than giving them a biology lesson!
âLittle Light, what are you smiling about?â Moon suddenly asked.
âHuh? Oh... I just remembered something happy,â Aurora replied.
âWhatâs that?â
âHmm, that weâre about to get a new sibling.â
Moon squealed and hugged Aurora again, rubbing her cheek against her little sisterâs face. âYou really do want a new sibling, huh?â
âYeah, yeah, sure,â Aurora said, already eager for the game to start. âSo, when do we begin? Do we have a plan?â
Back during the beach trip, Aurora had been too young to actively participate in their âKissing Operation,â but now she was all in. Her mischievous soul was practically dancing at the thought of seeing the plan unfold.
âUh... we donât really have a plan yet,â Moon admitted, sounding a bit deflated.
But Noa, standing nearby, spoke up calmly. âActually, Iâve got a plan. But Iâll need your help.â
âReally, Big Sister? Thatâs great!â Moonâs mood instantly flipped back to excitement.
Aurora tried to keep her grin in check. âIâm happy to help, Big Sister.â
...
After dinner, Moon dragged Leon to the sanctuaryâs back garden.
Leon noticed that Rosvisser had also been brought out by Noa.
The couple had originally planned to spend their evening doing their own things.
Rosvisser was going to check in with Anna and the others about the progress of summoning back their clan members, while Leon had been planning to brew a potion to help Rosvisserâs injuries heal faster.
But before they could even get started, their daughters had pulled them into the garden, claiming they wanted to play a family game.
Leon and Rosvisser exchanged glances, and with a silent agreement, they decided to go along with it.
It was rare for their daughters to be so enthusiastic, and neither of them was in a rush to get back to their tasks.
The five of them sat cross-legged on the grass. Noa pulled out a box of chocolate sticks from her pocket.
She took one out and began explaining the rules of the game.
âThe rules are simple: each person holds one end of the chocolate stick in their mouth, like this,â she said, demonstrating by biting down on one end of the chocolate stick.
Then she turned to Moon, speaking around the stick in her mouth, âYou pass it to the person next to you, and they bite the other end.â
âThis will cause the chocolate stick to break in the middle. After Moon passes it, sheâll give it to the person on her left, and so on.â
âThe game continues until someone canât break the stick, and theyâll be the loser.â
âAs for the punishment... The loser has to choose between telling a truth or doing a dare.â
âAny questions, Mom and Dad?â
Leon and Rosvisser both shook their heads, agreeing to the game.
âGreat, letâs get started.â
Noa replaced the chocolate stick and passed it to Moon.
Moon bit the other end, breaking the stick in half, then turned to pass it to Aurora.
Aurora was no fool.
If everyone kept breaking the chocolate stick right in the middle, thereâd be no way to control how short it was by the time it got to their parents.
And Aurora was determined to make sure that by the time the chocolate stick reached her mom and dad, it would be short enough to force them into a kiss.
With quick thinking, Aurora took a smaller bite, snapping off only a tiny piece.
Neither Leon nor Rosvisser paid much attention to her little trick.
It was just a family game, after all. Getting too serious about the rules would only ruin the fun.
Aurora, with a devious grin, held out the now significantly shorter chocolate stick to Rosvisser.
âMom, itâs your turn,â she said, the chocolate wobbling slightly as she spoke.
Rosvisser quickly caught on to Auroraâs planâat least the part where Aurora was trying to ensure that she or Leon would be the loser.
*Clever little girl*, Rosvisser thought with a smile.
She leaned forward, and her warm breath brushed over Auroraâs face.
The sweet scent of her motherâs presence made Auroraâs cheeks flush slightly. It smelled so nice.
When Rosvisser leaned in close, Aurora instinctively tilted forward as well.
But instead of taking the chocolate stick, Rosvisser planted a soft kiss on Auroraâs cheek, whispering, âLittle rascal.â
Auroraâs face turned bright red, and her tail twitched upward in surprise. âJ-just take the stick, Mom!â
*Oh wow, Mother Dragon*, Leon thought as he watched, *Youâre not only skilled at teasing your husband, but now youâre doing it with the kids too. Maybe I should let you handle them while I take over running the Silver Dragon Clan.*
Rosvisser laughed softly, then took the chocolate stick from Aurora and turned toward Leon.
Leon glanced at the chocolate stick between her lips, which was now so short that only a tiny piece was visible.
In order to grab it, heâd have no choice but to kiss her.
Leon hesitated.
Meanwhile, Moon clenched her little fists in excitement, her eyes glued to the scene in front of her.
âKiss! Kiss! Kiss! Bring on baby number four!â she whispered excitedly.
Rosvisser, sensing the challenge, looked at Leon with a smug, playful expression.
She loved every chance she got to challenge Leon.
As the strongest Dragon Slayer, for Leon to lose to herâeven in something as simple as a chocolate stick gameâwas immensely satisfying.
If breaking a chocolate stick could lead to her victory, she would make it happen. After all, the Queenâs bite is unbreakable!
