Vol. 3 Ch. 9
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
Early the next morning, when Rosvisser arrived at the public library in the temple, the place was already packed.
The temporary venue for the love tutoring class was held here, creating a perfect learning atmosphere.
Everyone was brimming with enthusiasm for the session.
However, Her Majesty was... running a bit late today.
Rosvisser herself knew she was late, and her expression reflected a subtle awkwardness.
Seeing this, Milan asked with concern, "Your Majesty, are you feeling unwell?"
Rosvisser averted her eyes, "N-no, not at all..."
She was foolish to have believed that dog of a manâs sweet talk last night. He had promised it would only be once and that it wouldnât delay her class the next day.
Once it started, it happened again.
Rosvisser humored him, gave in to him, like coaxing a childâand, truth be told, she didnât really want to stop either.
So it went.
Once, once, and then once again, each time claiming it was the last.
But with the double Dragon Marks buff, the couple adhered to the philosophy: "If youâre not dead yet, keep going."
Thankfully, Rosvisser had a workaholic streak in her, which allowed her to drag her utterly exhausted body out of bed this morning, clean herself up, and show up to share her experience of love with her clan.
She had intended to emphasize what Leon said last nightâthe importance of "respecting each other's boundaries" in a relationship.
But after a night of vigorous passion, all she wanted to say was:
Stay away from Dragon Marks; cherish your life.
The Queen sighed inwardly, shaking her head to banish the stray thoughts.
Although her body was tired, it wouldnât stop her from talking to the clan about her and Leonâs understanding of love.
âGood morning, Your Majesty.â
âGood morning! Your Majesty~â
âGood morning, Your Majesty~â
The clan members and maids greeted Rosvisser warmly.
She nodded and smiled in response to each of them.
Under the admiring gaze of her people, she walked to the area beneath the large windows, which served as the temporary podium for the love tutoring class.
In truth, it wasnât a strict class at all.
It was more like a âsupport group.â
Rosvisser gave a brief opening statement before smoothly leading into the topic of "respecting each otherâs boundaries" in relationships.
Leonâs words from the previous night had given her a lot of insight.
She had organized her thoughts and extended them a little, so explaining the intricacies of love to everyone wasnât too difficult today.
The Silver Dragons listened attentively from their seats, and some even took out notebooks to meticulously jot down every golden nugget of wisdom their Queen shared.
About twenty minutes later, Leon quietly slipped into the libraryâs entrance.
Rosvisser was deeply immersed in her talk, and the clan members were equally absorbed in listening, so no one noticed Leonâs arrival.
He didnât rush to reveal himself. With his hands casually in his pockets, he leaned against the doorframe, his gaze drifting past the bookshelves, chairs, and the crowd, landing squarely on the silver-haired beauty, basking in the worshipful stares of her people.
âThere is a natural impulse in dragons, something born into us. When our emotions are stirred, itâs impossible to control.â
âAnd after the impulse subsides, someone is often left hurt.â
âSometimes itâs the enemy, sometimes itâs ourselves.â
âBut when we commit ourselves to a relationship, that impulse has the power to hurt the person you care about mostâand who cares about you.â
âWe can become swayed by emotion, say the most hurtful things, or act in ways that are misunderstood.â
âThis is normal.â
âBut normal doesnât mean right.â
âLeon and I have had our arguments in the past, for all sorts of reasons. Every time, I wanted to lash out with the sharpest words, make him feel the consequences of crossing me.â
âBut in the end, I realized that all it did was hurt both of us.â@@novelbin@@
âLuckily, in those moments of family strife, we always instinctively left a little space for each other to breathe, and thatâs why our relationship never truly broke apart.â
âIf we keep pushing our partner, thinking that as long as we back them into a corner, leaving them no way out, we can declare victory, I can only say that this isnât victory at allâitâs true defeat.â
âWe should be solving problems, not treating our partner as the problem to solve.â
âAt the same time, respecting each other and stopping before crossing the otherâs boundaries is a key to maintaining a healthy relationship.â
â...â
She shared her insights with the clan members without holding anything back.
Leon listened quietly at the entrance.
As he listened, he scratched the tip of his nose and smiled smugly.
He wasnât smiling because Rosvisser had hit home with what she was saying.
After all, he had said every sweet thing there was to say last nightâbesides the sweat and other unmentionable fluids left on the bed, the only things theyâd dropped were goosebumps.
Leon smiled because of the way Rosvisser referred to him just now in front of the clan:
âYour Prince.â
Leon felt this title was much more formal than âmy husbandâ and more intimate than âmy spouse.â
And it made him feel that little touch of pride in her voice when she said it.
No way.
He had to get his dragon queen to show off their love more in front of the clan.
That way, he could hear "Your Prince" even more.
...
Another hour passed, and Rosvisser had covered just about everything she wanted to say.
Next came the Q&A session.
âYour Majesty! I read in a book that marriage is the graveyard of love. How should I interpret that?â
Rosvisser pondered for a moment, then smiled and replied,
âI wonât refute the meaning of that saying, but personally, I think marriage isnât the graveyard of loveâitâs the beginning of the next stage.â
âThe next stage?â
âYes. If youâre not ready to enter into marriage with your partner, then it certainly becomes a cold grave. But if youâre prepared, then itâs the rebirth of love.â
Leon: Our love didnât have a first stage or second stage; it began with pregnancy.
Kids, donât try this at home~
âYour Majesty, over here~ I wanted to ask, is having babies a scary thing?â
âHm... Itâs a difficult thing, but I wouldnât say itâs scary.â
âYour Majesty~ Your Majesty~ Does the Prince ever get jealous because you spend too much time with the princesses?â
âHe doesnât, because itâs clear he spends much more time with the children than I do. If anyone should be jealous, itâs me.â
âAnd does the Prince comfort you when youâre upset?â
âI make him comfort me, and he does so obediently.â
â...â
The questions continued.
And then came a bombshell.
âYour Majesty, when was the last time you and the Prince kissed?â
Hearing this, the previously eloquent Queen froze for a moment.
Her face flushed red.
What to do?
Should she say they kissed just this morning?
Would that make it seem like she and the Prince are a little *too* in love?
Hiss~~~
Though itâs a love tutoring class, is this taking things too far?
As Rosvisser brainstormed, she heard the voice of that dog of a man from beside her,
âYour Majesty might not remember, but we donât kiss very often.â
âYour Prince!â
âOhhh~ The Queen and the Prince are together again~â
Amid the playful banter, Leon walked over to Rosvisserâs side.
Rosvisser looked at him and whispered, âHave you thought of a good answer? Donât mess this up for me!â
âRelax, Iâve got this,â Leon replied.
Then, taking Rosvisserâs hand, he smiled at the curious maids and clan members.
âBut I do remember the last time we kissed.â
âWhen was that?â Milan, the maid, asked excitedly.
Rosvisser also turned to him, curious about whether heâd tell the truth orâ
Before she could react, she felt the warm, soft sensation of his lips against hers.
Her pupils widened, her tail shot up, and she froze in classic *penguin hand clutch* mode.
By the time she snapped out of it, the man beside her was proudly saying,
âOur last kiss? It was just now.â
