Vol. 3 Ch. 10
Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
After the love tutoring class ended, the romantic developments among the Silver Dragon clan could be described in one word:
Booming!
Booming with progress.
Everyone realized how much joy could come from casting aside some of the old, decaying traditions, following their hearts, and bravely taking that first step.
At this rate, the Silver Dragon clan could cultivate a new generation of young dragons within a few years, without losing much of its combat power.
The covert collusion between the human empire and some of the dragons meant that this ancient, long-standing war had entered its next phase.
Who was an ally, and who was an enemyâthese were uncertain matters.
So, before the next crisis arrived, Rosvisser had to strengthen her clan as much as possible.
It was to preserve the honor and legacy of the Silver Dragons in these chaotic times, and to ensure her family could continue to thrive.
As the Silver Dragons got back on track, Rosvisser became increasingly busy.
Leon, understanding this, wisely refrained from disturbing her and spent his days with their daughters instead.
He taught Noa magic, played with Moon, and then engaged in playful âuppercut and chin bumpâ bouts with little Aurora.
Today, he came to Rosvisserâs private library, where Aurora, as usual, was quietly reading.
She was so absorbed in her book that she didnât notice Leonâs approach.
Leon silently stood behind her and saw that, once again, the little girl had buried her face in the book while reading.
The father sighed inwardly, then gently tapped her shoulder. "Keep your back straight and your head up. Donât get so closeâitâs bad for your eyes, Aurora."
The small figure flinched slightly, then Aurora immediately sat up straight.
She clutched the sides of her book, her little legs swinging as she muttered, "Dragons donât get nearsighted... Daddy underestimates me."
â...â
Leon was momentarily speechless.
Pureblood dragons really didnât get nearsightedâno denying the superiority of their bloodline.
But sweetie, youâre a half-dragon. If youâre not careful about your habits, youâll end up nearsighted like humans.
Future Aurora had worn black-framed glasses.
Not that they didnât look good; in fact, they added to her scholarly charm.
But back when the reversal magic circle was activated, future Aurora had told Leon that she didnât want to end up nearsighted, so her younger self needed to develop good reading habits.
Ever since Leon had returned, he had kept an eye on Auroraâs reading posture.
Most of the time, she obediently followed his guidance, but sometimes, she still got too close to the book.
"What are you reading?" Leon shifted the topic.@@novelbin@@
*"The Warrior's Cradle: Saint Heath Academy,"* Aurora replied. "It has a lot of short biographies about outstanding graduates and the history of the academy. Itâs quite interesting."
Leon raised an eyebrow. "Are you thinking about going to school?"
She was just over a year old, but when he thought about it, Noa hadnât been much older when she started school.
Although the two daughters had different talents, they both fell into the âgenius childâ category.
With Auroraâs current learning abilities and mental capacity, attending school shouldnât be an issue.
"Mm... not really."
Aurora said, "I'm just gathering information for now."
Leon nodded.
That was very much in line with Auroraâs learning habitsâno matter what type of book it was, she liked to understand the overall content first before deciding how to approach it.
*My youngest daughter is so cautious.*
"Speaking of which, the academy break is almost over, and Noa has to go back to school soon."
Aurora put down her book and turned to look at her dad. "Are you and mom going to take her?"
"Of course. Do you want to come along?"
"Yes, yes! Reading about it in books is too one-dimensionalâI want to see it for myself."
"Alright. Weâll bring Moon along too. How does that sound?"
The little pink-haired girl nodded enthusiastically, then leaned over and hugged her dadâs neck, planting a soft kiss on his cheek. "Daddy is the best~"
Feeling utterly charmed by his daughterâs sweetness, Leon scooped her into his arms. "Come on, letâs get out and enjoy some sunshine. Youâve been cooped up in the library too long."
"Daddy is my sunshine~"
"You're quite the sweet talker, arenât you?"
Leon rubbed his cheek against Auroraâs soft face affectionately. "If your momâs mouth were half as sweet as yours, my happiness would at least triple."
"But I think youâre already very happy, Daddy," Aurora said, her face serious.
Leon blinked, surprised. "Really? You can tell?"
"Of course."
Aurora continued, "Even though you always say that Mom isnât romantic, or that sheâs too stubborn, every time you talk about her, whether you're complaining or teasing, your voice sounds happy."
"Happy? I donât think... no way."
Leon didnât think he felt happiness every time he mentioned Rosvisserâcertainly not every time.
His relationship with Rosvisser hadnât progressed to that level yet... had it?
Aurora blinked her bright eyes and clicked her tongue. "Well, itâs not exactly happiness, but more like... pride and contentment. Itâs like even Momâs flaws donât bother you muchâin fact, you find them amusing."
Watching Auroraâs serious expression, Leon knew she wasnât joking or exaggerating.
Hiss~~~
Could it be that every time he mentioned Rosvisser, his smile was harder to suppress than an AKâs recoil?
No way...
*What do you mean, her flaws donât bother me?*
Come on, if I listed her flaws, I could go on for three days and nights.
Leon shook his head, then pinched Auroraâs nose gently. "Kids shouldnât be trying to figure out adult feelings."
"Daddy, you can say that to me, but if you told that to big sis, she wouldnât speak to you for three days."
Leon pursed his lips, laughing as he shook his head.
These little dragon girlsâeach one was sharper than the last.
Leon moved past the topic and took Aurora to the garden in the templeâs rear courtyard.
When they arrived, Moon was already there, pestering Noa to play a game of blindfolded tag with her.
"Dad."
"Hmm?"
"Have you noticed that Second Sister has been clinging to Big Sister more than usual lately?" Aurora asked as she watched her two sisters playing not far away.
Leon followed her gaze and, after thinking for a moment about Moonâs recent behavior, replied, "Hmm... yeah, I guess so. But sheâs always been attached to Noa. She became a little more independent after you were bornâprobably felt like she had to act more like a big sister."
"But deep down, Second Sister still relies on Big Sister a lot."
"Thatâs true."
During the two years Leon had been in a coma, Noa had spent a lot of time with Moon.
As Moonâs personality and thinking matured, she came to see Noa as an essential pillar of support.
To put it simplyâsheâs a sister complex.
Leon didnât think there was anything wrong with the sisters being close, and Noa had never shown any impatience toward Moon.
She understood that she was her sisterâs rock, and she never let her down.
Noaâs personality was like thatâalways striving to make everyone happy.
"Hey? Aurora, why donât you ever cling to your sisters?" Leon suddenly asked.
"Because I'm busy being held by you."
"... My bad."
Leon bent down and set Aurora on the ground.
"Alright, Daddy, Iâm off to play~"
"Go ahead, but be careful."
The little pink-haired girl waved, then turned and ran toward her two sisters.
The trio gathered together, and the game quickly became lively.
Leon stood at a distance, his hands in his pockets, silently watching the harmonious, heartwarming scene. Slowly, a smile spread across his face.
He remembered the dream heâd once shared with Rosvisser:
"Move to the countryside, open a ranch."
"Then marry a woman whoâs neither beautiful nor ugly."
"Have a cute daughter."
"And finally, wait for time to slowly wither me away. I think, if possible, that would be the life Iâd want."
His current life didnât include a ranch, and the âfake wifeâ was far too beautiful to fit his laid-back standard, but at least... his daughters were genuinely adorable.
Leon slowly sat down on the grass, then lay back, resting his hands behind his head as he gazed up at the clear blue sky.
A gentle breeze tousled the hair on his forehead, cooling and refreshing him.
Before long, he heard footsteps nearby.
Without opening his eyes, he knew who it was.
"Slacking off?" she asked.
"Yep. Want to join?" Leon invited.
Rosvisser didnât answer but slowly lay down beside him.
She placed her hands on her stomach, their shoulders touching as they lay together.
Sunlight filtered through the gaps in the leaves, spilling onto them in a warm, comforting glow.
