Shut Up, Malevolent Dragon! I Don’t Want to Have Any More Children With You
âOw, ow, ow! That hurts! Be gentle!â
Inside the Cosmod Orphanage, the cries of the dragon-slaying hero echoed. Just half an hour ago, this revolutionary who declared the fall of the old Empire before a corrupt king, and who led the Lionheart Society to free the people from oppression, now sat in a wheelchair.
The destructive power of the Ninth Gate was astounding, and Leon had survived thanks to Rosvisserâs protective dragon scale, but that didnât mean there was no cost.@@novelbin@@
His right leg, the one that had obliterated the Primordial Nightmare, was now encased in a cast.
âItâs been temporarily treated with healing magic, but youâll need to rest for a while,â Rebecca said, squatting beside the wheelchair and tapping the cast on Leonâs leg. She added with a playful smirk, âTsk, tsk, tsk. After so many years of fighting, this is the first time Iâve seen you this badly hurt. Any thoughts on this new experience, Captain?â
Leon shot her a sideways glance, exasperated.
âDonât think that just because Iâm in a wheelchair, I canât handle you.â
Rebeccaâs bright eyes blinked mischievously as she stood up and snuck behind his wheelchair. She grabbed a wooden stick and wedged it firmly between the wheels, immobilizing it.
Then she returned to face him, hands on her hips, looking smug.
âWell then, catch me if you can.â
Leon tried to move the wheelchair, but the stick held it tightly in place, preventing even the slightest movement.
âNyah-nyah~â
Rebecca stuck out her tongue at him playfully.
âLittle girl, youâd better not get too cocky. Pain doesnât just disappearâit shifts. Guess whoâs next when I recover?â
Rebecca huffed, crossing her arms. âI donât care! Carpe diem! Itâs not every day I get to bully you. Iâm going to get Martin to join in!â
