Chapter 291 - Taking Care Of Little Brother

Little Lin was still staring eagerly at his brother, as though waiting for the outcome. “Brother, how is he? Is Little Brother running a fever?”

“He’s not hot.” Feng Nai retracted his hand slowly and shot another glance at Mo Bei. “You don’t have a cold?”

Mo Bei came up with a similar illness. “Acute gastroenteritis.”

“That’s why you’re so pale.” Little Lin reached out to pinch Mo Bei’s pant legs. “Are you in a lot of pain, Little Brother?”

Mo Bei lowered her eyes. Not wanting the child to worry about her, she said, “Not much pain.”

“If you continue asking, even if your Little Brother passes out from the pain, he will only claim that he isn’t in much pain.” Feng Nai mocked him lightly.

Little Lin didn’t care, as he felt that his brother was right. He pushed Mo Bei’s back with his two small hands. “Little Brother, go lie down in the room since you’re not feeling well. I’ll go get you some hot water.”

Feng Nai did not pay attention to his brother, who didn’t even know how to boil water. Instead, he flipped through the medicine box that they’d brought. Everything inside was for fever relief and clearing toxins, or cold remedy granules, as well as two bags of fever remedy… All these things weren’t used to treat gastroenteritis.

“Take care of your Little Brother. I’m going downstairs to get some stuff. Text me using your Little Brother’s phone if there’s anything wrong.”

After giving this instruction, Feng Nai strolled out of the apartment.

This was undoubtedly a good thing for Mo Bei.

The dull pain in her lower abdomen was making it difficult for her to even stand.

She would feel much better if she squatted down.

However, it wouldn’t seem like she had gastroenteritis if she did that.

Little Lin watched as his Little Brother used a hand to hold his lower abdomen, cold sweat covering his forehead. He became extremely obedient and got tissues so that Mo Bei could dry her sweat. Then, he wanted to pour water for her. After realizing that all the water was cold, he wanted to do something in the kitchen.

However, after he took a look, he recognized all the things he saw when he had his usual meals. Why was he finding them all unfamiliar now?

He ran back on pattering footsteps, picked up Mo Bei’s cell phone, and scrolled to the name Captain. “Brother, where are you?”

“At the pharmacy. Why?” Feng Nai took his wallet out to pay the bill, the mask still on his face.

It was the first time the young lady working at the pharmacy was seeing such an aura. Thus, she was bound to take a few more glances.

On the other hand, how could Little Lin admit that he couldn’t even recognize all the items in the kitchen? His small hands tapped on the screen. “Nothing, you have to come back quickly to take care of Little Brother.”

Feng Nai took the medicine and freed up a hand to type a reply. “Mm…”

Mo Bei was in a semi-reclining position on the bed. While she was listening to the sounds around her in a daze, she only felt that the pain had grown even stronger. It wasn’t possible for her to stand up now.

It was probably because she hadn’t eaten anything the whole time. She didn’t even have any body heat.

As she lay like this, it felt as if her lower abdomen could radiate cold air.

She couldn’t make a hot water bag. She could only try her best to use her hands to warm her abdomen. Her hair, which was in front of her forehead, was all wet from the cold sweat. She could faintly sense Little Lin walking to and fro beside her, just like a likable little cat.

However, Mo Bei couldn’t believe that Feng Nai had gone out to buy medicine for her.

In fact, this was the first time Young Master Feng was doing such a thing.

He had carried Little Lin to the hospital before, but that was different.

The hospital was well-equipped with facilities.
