Xi Xiaye thought about it for a moment, then sighed softly. Her hand that held his tightly loosened up too.

You can really show no mercy…” Xi Xiaye was referring to Xi Xinyi and Han Yifeng’s son, and Mu Yuchen obviously understood.

“Does she know that we met Han Yifeng?” Xi Xiaye immediately caught what he was saying.

Mu Yuchen nodded. “She pays very close to attention to Han Yifeng’s every move. She just daren’t appear hastily because she knows Han Yifeng better than any of us.”

“Yeah, with someone like Han Yifeng, the more you grab onto him tightly, the more it will repel him.”

“Do you still have such a strong impression of him? Why don’t I see you paying more attention to me too?” Upon hearing her say that, Mu Yuchen shot her an unhappy glance. His gaze was quite thought-provoking.

Xi Xiaye shrugged and rolled her eyes. “You’re just a wolf. You’re cold and noble like the perfect Prince Charming in front of others, but you’re actually a sly fox in private. I’m not going to argue with you since I won’t win. I think it’s almost time now. Is there anything else you want to talk about? Su Nan and Ruan Heng should be rushing over from the hotel now.”

The flight was at about half-past nine that night, so after dinner, Mu Yuchen dragged her out for a walk. He wanted to just stroll around and chat a little since it would be quite a long time before they would be able to meet again.

Mu Yuchen turned to her, facing the time displayed on the screen of the plaza wall. It showed that it was close to 8 p.m.

“There’s not much else. Take good care of yourself and the sons when you get back. If there’s anything, just call me,” he said softly with his gaze lowered as he looked at their hands tangled with each other. He thought about it and then said again, “I’ll get you a present later on.”

She turned and looked helplessly at him as she could not help but whine, “I don’t lack anything. Just come home sooner. That would be the best present for me. October’s going to pass us by really soon too. By the time you return, we’ll be reaching the end of the year. With many things to deal with at the company, there’ll probably be many things to worry about.”

He chuckled. “Do you think it’s so easy to be a high and mighty female CEO?”

“That’s why I was still hoping to be content being your Director Xi…”

“How unambitious!” he softly reprimanded, and then pulled her to get up and walk ahead. “Missus, just push through for now. Once the next two years are done, you won’t be so tired anymore.”

“I’m just kidding. I can’t bear to see you do all of it alone, and I’m not the kind of woman that needs protection compared to the lifestyle whereby women stay home while men work outside. I think it’s better to be hustling with you.”

“Is that so?” He looked at her meaningfully.

“Well, of course.”

“I remember that not too long ago, a certain someone seemed to have asked Li Si if I was having dinner with any women here.”

He looked at her amusedly. “It definitely wasn’t me…”

The husband and wife chatted idly, and at the end of the street, Su Nan and Ruan Heng reached just in time.

Mu Yuchen personally sent the three of them to the airport himself as it was almost time to board now.

At the entrance towards the departure gate outside the VIP lounge area.

“Go in now. Remember to call me when you get home,” Mu Yuchen helped her fix her creased sleeves as he reminded her.

Xi Xiaye nodded and looked up at him for a long while. Then, she could not help but circle her arms around his waist and lean into his embrace. “I don’t want to leave you.”

“I’ll be home soon enough. Alright, quickly go in. Don’t make them wait too long now.” Mu Yuchen patted her head, and then elegantly lowered his head to plant a kiss on her lips. He hugged her tightly before pulling her out of his embrace.

As she sniffled because she felt sad about leaving, she felt like crying again. “I’ll go now.”

He nodded gently and smiled as he looked at her.

“You take good care of yourself too,” she said before turning around to walk away, but two steps later, she turned to look at him again…
