Ji Zitong watched as Su Chen just pulled her away. She could not help but ask, “Where...are you going?”

Su Chen turned around to shoot her a glance, but he did not slow down his steps while his lowered voice was filled with concern, “You haven’t rested well since last night. Considering that it’s burnt to this stage, there’s no use for you to stick around here. You should just go home and rest first. I’ll arrange for someone to handle things over here.”

As he shrugged, his stern face did not look very glum. He turned on the music player in the car, and a familiar song instantly filled the narrow space.

She’s been thinking of how to lighten this burden on her shoulders. Father might be retiring in a few years too, so you should learn a thing or two from Mother now.”

Su Yu had her own career, and there was no way Su Chen could take over Xie Jiajia’s company with his identity, so this burden was going to fall on Ji Zitong eventually. Therefore, she could not reject it.

Because of this, Xie Jiajia always looked for Ji Zitong to have heart-to-heart chats. She was worried that someone like JI Zitong would hold onto any burdens in her heart.

They had been married for almost a year now, so Ji Zitong was actually quite familiar with the Su family now. The Su family was not the big shots she thought they were. Instead, the Sus, the Mus, and the Zhous were all like normal people. Everyone lived together in harmony. In fact, all the families had each other’s backs, and they were all very easygoing families.

Ji Zitong took a deep breath, then turned to look at the side of his face before saying, “Su Chen, I’ve thought about it for a long time. I think we should have children soon. I’ve been preparing. If we make it in time now, I’ll be giving birth next year in August or September. I heard that babies born during these two months are very smart, so I thought...instead of having children later, we might as well have them sooner.”
