Chapter 3956
The First Heir
The young woman blinked, and Vivian let go of her.
âThatâs the big guy! It has taken that thing. Letâs look for it quickly. Maybe itâs around somewhere.â
Licht took a deep breath and pointed at the bloodthirsty demon ape.
âIs that thing you mentioned the one in its hand?â
The demon ape was holding a treasure box in its hand, which looked quite natural if one did not
observe carefully.
The stone box looked like an ax in the demon apeâs hands, and it was using the box to eat the
Timberwolf.
Before the three could react, the lower-level beasts in the surroundings prostrated on the ground while
shaking all over. Roars filled the woods, which seemed a bit intimidating.
Vivian said, âAre those beasts going to mess with that big guy?â
âNo, theyâre waiting for the demon ape to finish eating and get the leftovers,â Licht said.
The beasts that had not developed an intelligence hovered around the demon ape anxiously, but none
of them dared to go forward. Even though the demon ape was in bad shape, they were intimidated
from the bottom of their hearts.
Eating high-level beasts could help improve their levels. Therefore, everyone was anxiously waiting for
the leftovers.
Licht said, âThese things have not developed intelligence. If the demon ape gives an order, all of them
will attack us.â
âWhat is that thing? If we canât deal with it, letâs back off. Thereâs no need to put our lives at stake
because of a small thing.â
Licht had a point.
The young woman said, âI was looking for the Elemental Fruit, and I saw a stone box popping out from
the ground. Then, they started fighting. Although I donât know what that box is, it must be very
important, or two overlords wouldnât have fought over it.â
Overlord beasts were at the nine-star level!
They dominated one area and could command all the beasts!
Vivian nodded and said, âIâll lure these beasts away, and you two get ready to grab that box.â
He schooled his thoughts and slipped away quietly. He found a place convenient to make a retreat and
spread his chimera wings. He hovered in the air and smiled down at the demon ape.
The rules of wind intertwined between his wings. Two forces mingled with each other, and a series of
wind blades hit the demon ape endlessly.
Although the wind blades were mixed with the rules of wind, the effect on the demon ape was not very
strong. After all, Vivian had not fully comprehended the laws of wind.
The demon apeâs thick hide was strong enough to withstand these overwhelming wind blades. Even
so, it was a huge mistake to disturb its meal.
The demon ape squatted on the ground, kicked off forcefully, and zoomed toward Ishac.
Its roar was like a command, and all the surrounding beasts chased after Ishac. The demon ape
followed closely behind.
Vivian flapped his wings and lured the beasts far away.
The demon ape did not continue the pursuit but returned to its cave with the Timberwolf on its
shoulders. It flung the Timberwolf on the ground and the stone box into a corner before falling asleep.
During its sleep, elemental energy appeared all over the demon apeâs body.
The arm that broke during the fight with the Timberwolf just now was slowly healing. Its body was also
purging some smelly residue.
