Chapter 590
The First Heir
âYou canât do this! Iâll die!â
Marcus yelled, âHurry, call the doctor! If I die, you wonât be able to live as well!â
He did not want to die. He was still young. Plus, he was the second young master of the Quaids and
the number one candidate to inherit the entire Quaid family!
Marcus could not die with no valid reasons in a small place like Riverdale!
Pain!
There was excruciating pain in his stomach!
Why did the anesthesia stop working? Why?
Philip chuckled coldly. He held the bloody scalpel in his hand and traced it from Marcusâ stomach to his
heart. He said, âMaster Quaid, do you still not understand the situation youâre in?â
Philip lifted his head to look at the clock on the wall. He laughed slowly and said, â30 seconds have
passed. You have four and a half minutes now. Oh, four minutes and 20 seconds. What are you doing
to do? Why is the second young master of the Quaids hesitating? This is your life. You have to think
carefully.â
When he heard this, Marcus was so scared that he felt like he was on the brink of death. However, he
was still holding on. He glared at Philip and said, âIn your dreams! The Quaids will not retreat from
Riverdale! If I die, you wonât have a good life as well! You, your wh*re of a wife, and Beacon will all be
buried along with me!â
Philip smacked his lips and shook his head. He said coldly, âTsk tsk, youâre so ungrateful to my favors.â
After he said that, Philip stabbed the scalpel into Marcusâ arm. The sound of the scalpel hitting the bone
could be heard clearly!
âAh!â
Marcus screamed and started gasping furiously. He looked at the scalpel that was firmly planted in his
arm. It was also grinding against his bone. His blood started flowing down from the operating table to
the floor like running water. It was dripping loudly.
âYou madman! You absolute madman!â Marcus screamed.
âOne who is not frivolous has no youth,â Philip replied flatly, âTwo more minutes.â
His tone was icy. Marcus trembled when he heard that. He could feel the coldness emitting from
Philipâs body. Plus, when he looked into Philipâs eyes, he could clearly see that Philip was not afraid of
killing him.
Yes, in Philipâs eyes, Marcus was just a maggot.
âAlright! I promise you, the Quaids will retreat from Riverdale!â
Marcus was terrified. He agreed while grinding his teeth.
Philip had a satisfied smile on his face. He threw the scalpel and wiped his hands. He said, âSigh, you
wouldâve been fine if you had agreed to this sooner. See, you wasted so much blood.â
After he said that, Philip took a black pill from out of nowhere. âHere, eat this and everything will come
to an end.â
Since Marcus was losing a lot of blood, he was feeling light-headed. However, he knew Philip would
not be so kind. He shook his head and said, âWhatâs that? Iâm not eating that.â
Philip grabbed Marcusâ mouth and slapped him on the chest. Then, Marcus groaned in pain. When he
opened his mouth, Philip dropped the black pill into it.
âBlegh!â
Marcus wanted to vomit, but he could not. He could only glare at Philip and ask, âWhat did you feed
me?â
âA pill with five different kinds of poison inside.â
Philip said with a fake smile, âIf you go back on your promise, youâll die from ulceration on your major
organs.â
Marcus was shocked. He did not believe him. Were there such things in this world?
âDo you think youâre in a martial arts novel?â
Philip shrugged and said, âHave you forgotten what Beacon specializes in?â
That was not Beaconâs pill. It was just a Chinese medicine Philip bought when he was on the way here.
It was just a cheap trick to fool a young master like Marcus.
Beacon!
Marcus was frantic. He watched Philip leave the operating room and yelled, âGet me the doctor!â
After he got out of the hospital, Philip changed back into his clothes. He looked at Rick who was waiting
for him at the door and they got ready to leave.
However, he ran into a familiar figure at the entrance of the hospital.
Nina!
Why was she here?
Plus, there was a woman next to Nina. She was very beautiful. A lot of men would fall under her spell
the moment they looked at her.
That woman sashayed over. She was wearing a red dress. Her every frown and smile would be able to
mesmerize all living things. When she approached Philip, she parted her red lips and said airily, âHello,
Mr. Clarke. My name is Margot Pearson. We finally meet.â
