Lucas sat in the car, his legs swinging excitedly as Amari drove. His teddy was in his lap, and he held onto it tight, eyes filled with curiosity. "Daddy, where we gooooin'?" he asked, his voice soft and full of wonder.

Amari smirked, eyes still on the road. "It's a surprise, tiny."

Lucas let out a little huff, pouting dramatically. "But Daddy, I wanna knoooow!"

Amari chuckled, reaching over to squeeze Lucas' thigh. "Patience, baby. You'll love it, promise."

Lucas pouted more but nodded, trusting his Daddy completely. He sucked on his paci, humming quietly as the car moved.

The Surprise Location – 10:30 AM

When they finally pulled up, Lucas' eyes went wide.

It was a carnival!! 🎡🎠✨

Lucas gasped, bouncing in his seat. "DAAADDY!!" he squealed. "A 'NIVAL! A BIG 'NIVAL!!"

Amari laughed, unbuckling his seatbelt. "That's right, baby. Figured my little boy deserved a fun day, huh?"

Lucas nodded so fast, practically vibrating with excitement. "Yesyesyes!!!" He wiggled in his car seat, waiting for Amari to help him out.

As soon as his feet hit the ground, Lucas latched onto Amari's hand, squeezing tight. His little heart was racing—so much to see, so many lights, so many fun things!!

Amari knelt down, brushing some curls from Lucas' face. "Okay, baby, rules."

Lucas tilted his head, paci still in his mouth. "Wuwes?"

Amari nodded. "One—you stay with Daddy at all times. No running off, okay?"

Lucas nodded quickly. "Mhm!!"

"Two—you tell Daddy if you need anything. No holding it in, okay?"

"Okay, Daddy!"

"And three—you have all the fun you want. Got it?"

Lucas' face lit up. "Mhm mhm mhm!!!"

Amari chuckled, standing up. "Alright, let's go, tiny."

Lucas giggled, tugging Amari's hand as they walked in.

Inside the Carnival 🎠

Lucas' eyes were so big as he took in all the bright colors, rides, and yummy-smelling food. There was cotton candy, balloons, big stuffed animals... everything looked magical!

"Daddy!!" he gasped, pointing. "Lookit!! Dey gots games!"

Amari smirked. "Wanna try one, baby?"

Lucas nodded so fast his curls bounced. "Yes pwease!!"

Amari led him to a ring toss game. "Alright, tiny, you got this."

Lucas focused super hard, sticking out his tongue as he tossed the ring. It bounced once, twice... and landed on the bottle!!

"OH!!" Lucas gasped. "DADDY DADDY LOOK!!"

The game worker smiled. "Good job, little guy! Pick a prize!"

Lucas looked at all the stuffies before spotting a big lion plushie. He pointed excitedly. "Dat one! Da wion!"

The worker handed it to him, and Lucas hugged it tight. "Fank you!!"

Amari ruffled Lucas' hair. "Proud of you, baby."

Lucas beamed, feeling so happy.

Cotton Candy & Ferris Wheel 🍭🎡

After winning some more prizes, Lucas and Amari sat on a bench, sharing a big bag of pink cotton candy. Lucas' fingers were all sticky, but he didn't care.

"This is the bestest day ever, Daddy," Lucas mumbled, licking some sugar off his thumb.

Amari smirked. "Yeah? My baby happy?"

Lucas nodded big. "Mhm!! Wuvs Daddy sooo much!"

Amari leaned in, pressing a kiss to Lucas' sticky cheek. "Love you too, tiny."

After finishing their snack, Amari pointed at the Ferris wheel. "Wanna go up?"

Lucas' eyes widened. "Oooooh!! We be so high!!"

Amari chuckled. "That's right, baby. Let's go."

Once they got in the Ferris wheel, Lucas climbed onto Amari's lap, holding onto him tight as they rose into the air. "Woahhhh..."

Amari rubbed Lucas' back. "Pretty, huh?"

Lucas nodded, eyes sparkling. "Mhm... but not as pwetty as Daddy."

Amari blinked before laughing. "You're too cute, baby."

Lucas snuggled into him. "Wuv you, Daddy..."

Amari kissed the top of his head. "Love you too, little one."

And as the Ferris wheel reached the top, with the whole world below them, Lucas knew one thing for sure—
