Lucas stood in his pastel overalls, clutching his lion stuffie close as he rocked on his heels. He was so excited but also a little nervous. His mommy had promised a special day, just the two of them, since Daddy had practice again.

Mrs. Min smiled as she fixed the strap of his overalls. "Are you ready, sweetheart?"

Lucas nodded, bouncing slightly. "Uh-huh! W-we goin' to da—" he paused, pressing his paci against his lips. He was regressed but trying to be a big boy in public. "Da big play place?"

Mrs. Min laughed softly. "That's right. The arcade and fun center. And guess what?"

Lucas tilted his head. "Wha'?"

"I invited Amari to meet us later."

Lucas' whole face lit up. "Daddy too?!"

She tapped his nose playfully. "Yes, baby. But first, it's just Mommy and Lucas time."

Lucas let out a happy squeal, hugging his lion stuffie tight. "Bestest day eber!!"

🎟️ 𝒜𝓉 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒜𝓇𝒸𝒶𝒹𝑒...

Lucas had his own little cup of tokens, eyes wide as he stared at all the lights and games. His mommy held his hand, letting him pick whatever he wanted.

"Ooh! Dis one!" He pointed excitedly at the skee-ball game.

Mrs. Min helped him roll the balls, clapping whenever he made one in the holes. Lucas giggled, feeling so happy.

After a few rounds, they stopped for a snack. Lucas sipped from his sippy cup, swinging his legs as he ate his chicken nuggets.

Mrs. Min wiped some sauce off his chin. "You having fun, sweet boy?"

Lucas nodded quickly. "Uh-huh! Tanks, Mommy!"

She kissed his forehead. "Anything for my baby."

Amari showed up after practice, still in his jersey, looking tired but happy. As soon as Lucas spotted him, he gasped dramatically.

"Daddy!!!"

Amari barely had time to react before Lucas jumped into his arms.

"Hey, tiny." Amari chuckled, holding him tight. "You havin' fun?"

Lucas nodded quickly. "Uh-huh!! Mommy took me pway!!"

Mrs. Min smiled. "He's been having the best time."

Amari glanced at Lucas' little token cup and smirked. "You win anything cool?"

Lucas gasped again. "I show you, Daddy!!" He grabbed Amari's hand, pulling him toward the prize counter.

Mrs. Min just shook her head with a smile. Watching them together was the sweetest thing.
