🌙 𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓉𝑒𝓇 𝒯𝓌𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓎-𝑒𝒾𝑔𝒽𝓉: 𝐹𝓊𝓉𝓊𝓇𝑒 𝒟𝓇𝑒𝒶𝓂𝓈 & 𝐵𝒾𝑔 𝒬𝓊𝑒𝓈𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃𝓈

Lucas sat on Amari's bed, hugging his favorite plushie as Amari sat beside him, tossing a football in the air. The game had been amazing, and now scouts from The University of Georgia were seriously interested in Amari. It was everything Amari had worked for—but Lucas couldn't stop thinking about what it meant for them.

"Whatcha thinking about, baby?" Amari asked, setting the football down and turning to face Lucas.

Lucas hesitated, hugging his stuffie closer. "Dunno..."

Amari nudged his shoulder playfully. "C'mon, Loo-Loo. You always got something on that little mind of yours."

Lucas pouted, shifting to sit criss-cross on the bed. "I dunno what I wanna do after high school," he admitted, voice soft.

Amari studied him for a moment. "That's okay, baby. You got time."

Lucas looked down, playing with his fingers. "But you goin' to college... you gonna be a big football boy... and I... I just wanna be little." His voice wavered. "What if I be a burden?"

Amari's heart ached. He reached out, tilting Lucas' chin up. "Hey, none of that. You're never a burden, baby."

Lucas' eyes watered. "But... you gonna be busy! What if you don't got time for me no more?"

Amari frowned and pulled Lucas into his lap, wrapping his arms tightly around him. "Listen to me, Loo. No matter where I go, you always come first. College, football, all that—it don't change how much I love taking care of you."

Lucas sniffled. "P-promise?"

Amari kissed his forehead. "Promise."

Lucas nuzzled into Amari's chest. "Wanna be your baby forever..." he mumbled.

Amari smiled softly. "Then you can be, sweetheart."

Lucas hesitated before whispering, "Are we... official?"

Amari blinked. "You mean... like, together together?"

Lucas nodded, his face heating up.

Amari gently cupped Lucas' cheeks, looking him in the eyes. "Baby, I've been yours since day one. I guess I was just waitin' for the right time to ask." He took a deep breath, then grinned. "Lucas Min, will you be my boyfriend and my baby—officially?"

Lucas' eyes widened before a huge smile spread across his face. "Yes, yes, yes!!!" He threw his arms around Amari, hugging him tight.

Amari laughed, lifting him up and spinning him a little before laying him back on the bed. "That's my baby."

Lucas giggled, cheeks pink. "Your baby forever."

And in that moment, the future didn't seem so scary anymore.
