Hello Mother In Law

Charles has been sent to a desk.

Alot of people are in a frenzy running here and there.

At first he is startled how it looks so natural to be here.

He smiles and work.

But he finish his job effortlessly.

Arranging petitions.

Tallying budget.

Sorting files.

Its a mountain of files but in a blink of an eye he is already done.

Do not underestimate a man who got enslave in a small company and learn to multi task at young age.

He looks at the others whonis struggling. Their job looks more complex than his and so he offers his help.

At first the first guy he asks stare at him with ridicule.

Give him a hard to do job, the toughest one to mock him but the result is a shame defeat.

"You are more capable than I thought, lad." The old man praises him to no end.

Charles smiles awkwardly.

Its normal for him to help out when he has no other things to do.

And so, he become a popular guy in the department.

"Keeper, asks Taylor about this paper and go to the Minister of Defense."

The Chairman is like always has so many things to do he dont even lift his eyes to look at Keeper.

"Yes but how about a break? You should eat."

"What time is it?"

"Its already 5 in the afternoon."

"Tell the guys to have a break. Im sure everyone is having another rough time."

"Okay."

Keeper just walk inside the department and got shock.

Everyone is still busy like always but they dont look as desperate. No one is shouting and no one is fighting.

There is also one young man who is running here and there but therr is no sweat in his face just concentration.

"Everyone. Its dinner time." Keeper said clapping his hand.

Everyone stops what they are doing and sigh.

"Oh." Charles stops and take what he is carrying to his desk.

Keeper feels refresh looking at them.

"What happen? The guys in the Military Department didnt come to nag us?" He said with a smile. They always clash with the Military department. They are the Affair's headache.

"They did come. Our star player fix the problem." Taylor said puffing his chest in a proud tone.

"Our...Star player?" Keeper looks around and see that everyone is staring at the guy who is packing his food and preparing to eat.

"What?" Charles got conscious and didnt continue eating.

"This dude is a gem! I thought he is nothing but a nuisance but well people change." Taylor laughs loudly and everyone follows.

Charles reddened when he heard them praising him scratching his head.

"I am Ministry of Affair's Manager. Ill do my job from now on." He said with a bit of shy smile.

Everyone claps their hand making Charles more embarrassed.

Keeper is shock but then he smiles.

He knows Taylor hates Charles so if he is praising him like this must be because he gain his trust.

"Welcome abord then." Keeper said smiling at Charles.

Charles nod and give his signature smile.

Everyone blushes seeing an innocent smile like that from a well build young man.

Charles has his pack early dinner so he didnt leave to eat in the restaurant like the others. He is all alone in the office when the Chairman walk to his desk.

"I heard you did a good job."

"Chairman!" Charles stands up.

"Dont stand up. Continue eating."

"How can I? How about Chairman join me? I have plenty."

"If you'll let me."

"Sure."

The Chairman is watching his every move. Charles git conscious.

The feeling when your favorite actor is eating with you. That is what he feels.

Handsome, accomplished and sought after. The Chairman is one of the most desireable bachelor in their country.

"What's wrong? Are you scared of me?" The Chairman smile when Charles fidgets.

"No..Im just..You should taste this eggplant. I put extra effort in cooking this."

The Chairman followed him and eat. Then his eyes widen.

"Good, right?" Charles beams.

"It is." The shock in his eyes vanish. "You cook this? Do you know its my favorite?"

"Oh? You too? My hu--Wife likes eggplant too. That is why Im doing my best." He said as he recalled how he painstakingly made that meal. If he eats even one bite he will be very happy.

The Chairman pauses and coughs lightly.

"You mean your male lover?"

"Is...Is chairman prejudice with male liking male? Im  pretty sure you know my dark past." Charles is not comfortable wearing a 'beast' hat but he cannot change what's already happened.

"Hm..I heard alot of rumors. And that your father almost killed you when you marry this man"

"Let's eat." He doesnt like talking about this sensitive topic. The original Charles gets himself in a very awkward position but he still happy that he married Julius. He really wants Julius to acknowledge him. If he still wont love him after 2 years then...he can only set him free.

Work is conclude when the sun sets and the sky darken.

"Make sure to come in the morning." Taylor pats Charles shoulder.

Charles nods and thank them.

He is walking in the street alone.

Its not hard to come back home alone once he knows the way.

He went to the store that sells fine cloth material. He knows how to sew. Maybe he can make Julius some hankerchief with his initials. Slowly, he wishes to appeal to him.

Maybe by doing so, he can ease the anger he felt and he can be more closer to him.

"If you have no money then leave!" The older woman with fine clothes said as she pushes the other woman down.

The customers whispers at each other.

Charles never likes to be involve in this kind of drama.

Maybe he will visit other store.

"That is the mistress of the Victor's family. Why is she wearing clothes like rags?"

The woman whispers.

"Hehe. I heard her only hope, his son, got sold to pay for the head family's debt. How awful to sell your own son away. Now she cant even pay for a poor quality cloth."

The other whisper.

"Heh~ That old woman is the Rivero's official wife. She is close to the official wife of Victor's family thus she always find a chance to insult that mistress. Poor her to meet her here." Other said and giggles.

The leaving Charles turn 180 and walk to the old woman in the floor.

"Mother, stand up." He said as he helps her up. He also pat her clothes gently.

The two old woman is shock by his address.

Charles stands up and stare at the old woman wearing a better clothes.

"Im sorry if my Mother in law offended you. But why did you push her down?" He asks politely but there is also anger mix in it.

Alicia looks up startled.

This young man with dignified tone is her Son in law? Is he the same man who ruin his son's future and lock him up?

"I...Its her fault." The old woman is startled but her pride wont allow her to stand down.

She knows that the young Master of Hanperson's is not to be disregard. Even though he is a problem child and he is a disgrace he is still a hanperson so she shows a bit of respect.

Charles raises his brow.

This appearance is not concealed and everyone stare at him. Handsome.

But also dangerous.

"Then I once again apologize for inconviniencing Madame. Mother in law, can you walk?"

"I...I can..Thank you." She is cowardly and shy. Her son always told her not to let others bully her but what can she do? She has no backing. No family to rely. All she has is her beauty. But that is not even worth now that she has given birth to two sons and now an old woman.

"Young Master Charles should not be too modest." There is mocking in the old woamn tone.

Charles already let go of the issue. He doesnt know if its really his mother in law's fault. But hearing that last remarks.

He looks back.

"Be careful on your way home Madame." He said.

Everyone feel the chill and they all look at the pale woman.

Alicia also stare wide eye at Charles.
