Reyaansh's POV

The first rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the room. I opened my eyes slowly, adjusting to the light, and the first thing I saw was Kiara. She was still asleep, her face peaceful, her hair spilling over the pillow in messy waves.

Her steady breathing was a soothing rhythm, and for a moment, I didn’t want to disturb her. She looked so delicate, so unguarded in her sleep—completely different from the fiery, determined woman I dealt with daily.

I lay there, watching her, a small smile tugging at my lips. She stirred slightly, her nose scrunching adorably before her eyes fluttered open. For a second, she seemed disoriented, then her gaze landed on me.

"Morning," she murmured, her voice laced with sleep.

"Morning," I replied softly. "You slept well?"

She stretched lazily, a yawn escaping her lips. "I did. What time is it?"

"Almost eight. We should probably get ready," I said, sitting up.

Kiara nodded, rubbing her eyes as she got out of bed. She disappeared into the bathroom while I checked my phone for any updates. By the time she came out, dressed in a simple yet elegant peach kurta with matching bangles and her hair in a loose braid, I was ready in a crisp white shirt and black trousers.

"You look beautiful," I said, unable to stop myself.

She blushed faintly, avoiding my gaze. "Thank you," she said, adjusting her bangles. "Let’s head downstairs. I’m sure everyone’s waiting for breakfast."

I followed her as we descended the grand staircase, her anklets tinkling with every step. The house was already alive with the sounds of clattering dishes and murmured conversations.

As we reached the dining area, my mother looked up, her face lighting up. "There you two are! Come, sit. Breakfast is ready."

I pulled out a chair for Kiara, and as she sat down, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. These mornings with her were becoming the highlight of my days, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything in the world.

---

The evening air carried a gentle breeze, filling the mansion with a comforting calm. Kiara sat by the large window in the living room, her eyes fixed on the dusky hues of the sunset. The orange and pink streaks in the sky mirrored the warmth she felt in her heart—a stark contrast to her initial days here.

I walked in, loosening my tie after a long day at work, and found her lost in thought. The way the golden light framed her figure, highlighting the subtle curves of her face, made me pause. She turned her head as if sensing my gaze, her lips curving into a small smile.

“You’re home early,” she remarked, standing up to greet me.

“Wanted to spend some time with my wife,” I replied casually, shrugging off my blazer. Her cheeks flushed at my words, and I relished the effect I had on her.

“Come sit,” she said, gesturing to the couch. “I’ll bring some tea.”

“No need,” I said, pulling her gently by the wrist. “Let’s just sit together for a while.”

We settled on the plush sofa, and I leaned back, finally allowing myself to relax. Kiara, ever the curious one, asked about my day, her questions thoughtful and genuinely interested. As I recounted a few amusing moments from work, she laughed—a soft, melodious sound that made the fatigue of the day disappear.

After a while, she grew quiet, her gaze falling to her hands as she fiddled with her bangles. “Reyaansh,” she began hesitantly, “can we go outside for a walk? I feel like I’ve been cooped up all day.”

I smiled at her request. “Of course, let’s go.”

Hand in hand, we stepped into the garden, the cool grass beneath our feet and the moon beginning to rise in the sky. It was a moment of pure serenity, and as I looked at her beside me, I realized how much she had become my anchor in this chaotic world.
