Lucas seemed calm on the surface but was extremely delighted and excited upon seeing Darryl downing the wine.

Lucas had indeed invited Darryl to drink with him not out of admiration, but just to accomplish Jackie’s orders in

capturing Darryl.

Lucas’s plan was simple. He deliberately did not tell Darryl how strong Tipsy was and waited until Darryl was drunk

Darryl was highly skilled in producing elixirs. He even previously learned some medicinal skills from the Divine

Farmer. The moment he tasted the wine, he knew there was no poison in it, so he let his guard down.

Lucas said excitedly a few glasses of wine later, “I’m very honored that Master Darby did not mind my previous

behavior. You’re so generous. In truth, I was previously making matters difficult for you because I liked Parker too

much and got a little jealous upon seeing her getting so close with you…”

In truth, Lucas did not want to talk so much with Darryl but pretended to confide in Darryl to not let him be so

suspicious of him.

Lucas was indeed doing a great job at that moment.

Darryl smiled and had no whatsoever doubts left for Lucas upon seeing Lucas confiding in him.

could not even sit properly.

Darryl looked at Lucas groggily and drunk in the next second. “I’ve had enough of such a strong wine. Enough…”

At that moment, Darryl still had not realized that he had been tricked by Lucas. He initially thought he had

underestimated the alcohol’s strength.

Lucas smiled ambiguously and said, “Master Darby, let’s stop drinking since you’re already drunk. Rest well.”

Lucas then stopped smiling and swiftly attacked the back of Darryl’s head.
