’F*ck!’ Jonas cursed internally, ‘How dare that penniless kid lie to my cousin sister? He’s going to regret this.’ He then

scurried home hurriedly to ask for help.

Tanya went to the first floor after asking the hotel owner and knocked on Darryl’s room door.

*Creak.*

Darryl, who was lying down, opened the door quickly when he heard the noise. Realizing that it was Tanya, he smiled.

She smiled lightly and said apologetically, “Excuse me for coming at this hour, am I disturbing you from resting?”

“Not at all!”

Darryl shook his head and invited her into his room courteously.

“Are you really Darryl Darby?” Tanya fixed her gaze on him upon entering the room. She could no longer withhold her

curiosity.

“Haha!”

Darryl burst into laughter. He thought that she was amusing for still refusing to believe his identity.

He took in a deep breath and took his gold mask out, indicating the Sect Master of Elysium Gate the next second.

He chuckled. “Here’s my proof. Miss Snyder, I suppose you wouldn’t suspect me anymore, am I right?”

Tanya’s delicate body shuddered with indescribable excitement the moment she saw the gold mask.

She could see that the gold mask was finely-produced and unique. It was clearly authentic.

Realizing that her idol was right in front of her, Tanya could not help it but to express her happiness. “I hope that

you don’t mind what happened this afternoon. My cousin brother…”

She was interrupted by Darryl before she could finish!

“I already forgot what happened earlier!” Darryl smiled at her and continued in a gentle tone, “However, the

Chaotic Mountain Range incident isn’t a trivial matter. I hope that you can arrange a meeting with the Head of the

Dokko family as soon as possible.”

“Sure!”

Tanya nodded and replied softly, “Sir Dokko will be coming to my house for a visit tomorrow. How about you come

along and look for me, using this emblem tomorrow? I will introduce you to each other when the time comes.”

She placed a jade ornament that she carried with her onto Darryl’s hand as she spoke.

The jade ornament which was sculpted from rare and precious White Jade looked clear and shiny.

Tanya had been carrying the ornament with her since she was young, it was the indication of her status as the

Elder Miss in the Snyder family. She had always treasured it and she never took it out casually. However, she

gave it to Darryl because she became too emotional upon meeting her idol.

“Thank you!” Darryl took the ornament, feeling inexpressibly relieved.

He was not expecting that Tanya would be reliable in handling the matter. He would not let Rama down if he

could succeed in advising the Head of the Dokko family tomorrow.

He was immersed in his thoughts when he noticed a hint of sorrow in Tanya’s eyes despite her smile. He could not

suppress his curiosity and asked, “Miss Snyder, will there be some difficulties?”

She smiled and shook her head. “It’s nothing, we just have some small issues in the family business.”

How could she trouble her idol with trivial issues about business when he was someone who should only be

concerned with important matters?

Tanya recovered from her daze and realized that it was getting late. She smiled at Darryl politely, “It’s late, I

should go.” She turned and left the room.

Darryl followed her to send her off. He waved his arm and bid her goodbye. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Darryl heaved a sigh of relief after watching her leave. He felt liberated.

He was thankful for Tanya’s favor. Otherwise, he would be facing obstacles trying to meet the Head of the Dokko

family.

He pondered as he proceeded to walk back into the hotel. “Hey, brat!”

A loud voice boomed from a distance. A dozen men charged over with speed and surrounded Darryl. The men

leading them had a menacing expression with flames of anger flashing within his eyes. It was Jonas Dokko!

The men behind him were his subordinates.

Jonas was enraged when he saw his cousin sister walking into the hotel to meet Darryl. Who would be unaffected by

the fact that their romantic interest seemed to be getting close to another man? Jonas had asked his men over, he

was planning to teach Darryl a lesson.

He had been observing the movements within the hotel all this while. He only brought his men and charged when

Tanya left.

Jonas stared at Darryl with disdain, a sinister smile on his face. “You brat, you should have left this place instantly

instead of staying, after challenging me this afternoon. Also, how dare you take interest in my cousin sister? I will

regret it if I don’t teach you a lesson tonight! Take him!”

The subordinates held up their long swords firmly as they slashed towards Darryl as instructed. Pfft…

A dozen swords danced and flashed with cold light in the night. It seemed like Darryl was about to be split into two.

Darryl’s body moved suddenly in that split second and the swords missed him as if they were blind. They did not even

touch Darryl’s shirt.
