Meet My Brothers

Instead of getting angry, Timothy was happy to hear that Mia didnât like Felix.
However, he couldnât understand why she weighed him and Felix on the same parallel. Unlike that
bastard, Timothy would never set her up!
A faint smile spread across his lips. âGuess your judgment of character is still not that bad. Felixâs
character is a failure. He falls short in a lot of areas compared to his high ambitions.
âNot to mention his desire for fame and glory, as well as his calculating side.â
âTimothy Barrett, is it fun to degrade others?â Although Mia didnât like Felix, he was a diligent man.
He wasnât as bad as Timothy described.
âIâm laying out the facts.â
âAnd I deem your judgment too feeble. Step up your games.â She turned her head to the window,
ending the conversation.
The sight of the back of her head annoyed him.
More frustration bubbled up in him when he recalled she left that hotel with a man. Timothy didnât
know where they went thereafter.
Mia was always with different men, gorgeousâlooking men at that.
She checked the time. âDrop me off at that street.â
âYou live here?â He cast her a glance.
âI can take the subway home. Itâs convenient.â
âWhich neighborhood do you live in? I can send you home.â
âNo need the trouble. Youâll have to take a different direction.â
The downright rejection took a hit on his pride as he kicked the driverâs seat. âDid you hear her? Stop
the car. Let her down.â
Quickly, the driver pulled over by the road.
Mia got out of the car immediately, but she stood beside the car door hesitantly before looking at
Timothy.
His eyes shone in anticipation. âWhat?â

If she decided to accept the ride right now, he didnât mind giving her a second chance.
âSee you at the courthouse at 9 am tomorrow,â she reminded him seriously.
Words failed him.
Before he reacted, the car door was slammed shut. His face was gloomy as he loosened his tie,
not even knowing the reason behind his anger.
By the time Mia arrived home, Patricia had prepared a feast for dinner.
With every single bite taken, Claude couldnât stop exclaiming how delicious the food was. His
compliments made Patriciaâs day as she couldnât stop the grin on her face.
Only then did Mia realize how much of a flirt he was. In addition to his good looks, his slick tongue
could win any womanâs heart like a breeze!
After the meal, the siblings sat on the couch. She said in an undertone, âClaude, I finally know why
youâre so popular with women. You have a way with words.â
âCanât help it. Iâm born with it.â
âTeach me.â
He stroked her head. âYou donât need to learn it. Anything you say can make others happy. You
donât have to think of ways to butter others up.
âAll you have to do is to be you. If someone bullies you, donât forget about your six brothers who got
your back.â
Knowing that someone had her back gave her that familiar sense of security again. It felt different
to have someone to rely on.
A smile beamed on her face. âGot it. By the way, when will your music academy start operation? Iâd like
to take some lessons on the weekends. I donât want to go to work on weekends.â
âIt still needs some time. Even if the renovation is done, we still have to remove the formaldehyde.
âHow about we buy a piano so we can have lessons at home? I can teach you the basics first. Then,
youâll be able to catch up once you start learning at the academy.â
âIâm up for it!â
âGet some rest. I should get going now. We can survey for a good piano tomorrow together.â

She paused at that.
Tomorrow was the day Mia and Timothy would go to the courthouse for a divorce!
