Chapter 52
Meet My Brothers
Mia seemed to have become a completely different person after signing those divorce papers. Timothy
was finding her harder to read as time passed.
At this moment, his phone pinged. He saw a push notification for a trending topic-it was about Lindenâs
new relationship.
His brows furrowed tightly. He clicked on it to see a photo of Miaâs and another manâs backs. She wore
her champagne-colored dress, which swished with every step she took.
Timothyâs fingers twitched as he recalled how it felt when her dress had brushed against the back of his
hand. His Adamâs apple bobbed. He sipped his water before summoning Heath. âHave someone take
this trending topic down.â
âYes, sir. Should I also look into which studio Mrs. Barrett has gone to?â
Timothy gave him a cold look. âDonât you have anything better to do? Get out!â
Mia took a cab to Felixâs studio. It was located in a creative industry center that had been refurbished
from an old steel plant. It exuded creative vibes.
Mia walked into the studio. The receptionist approached her and asked, âAre you here for an
interview?â
âYou could say that. Is Felix in?â
âNot at the moment. You can take a seat over there while waiting.â
Mia headed to the visitorâs waiting area. Then, someone called out to her. âMia Bowen?â
She stopped and turned to see a familiar face. It was Wilhelmina. Mia was a little surprised. âWhat a
coincidence.â
âIndeed. What are you doing here?â Wilhelmina asked.
The receptionist came over with a glass of water. âSheâs here for an interview, Wilhelmina.â
Wilhelmina looked like she couldnât believe her ears. âWould someone like you need to interview for a
position
at this tiny studio? Didnât any of those established companies reach out to you?â
It didnât make sense that the first-place winner of the Fleur International Design Competition, who was
also
Zoe, the renowned designer, would show up at Felixâs studio. Besides, Mia was involved with Linden
Lane!
Mia said calmly, âI have my considerations.â
A hint of wariness flashed in Wilhelminaâs eyes. âDo you and Felix know each other?â
âYeah.â
âHow do you two know each other?â
1/2:
+15 BONOS
Wilhelminaâs tone sounded a little odd. Mia was about to answer when Felix returned to the studio. He
approached them and said, âYouâre finally here, Mia.â
Wilhelmina asked doubtfully, âDo you two know each other, Felix?â
âYeah. Mia was our junior in college; sheâs a year below us. She had to drop out for personal reasons,
though,â Felix said.
âOh, I see. Miaâs a renowned designer, though. How did you get her to agree to join us? Donât tell me
you used your good looks and charisma to win her over.â
Felix looked helpless. âDonât say things like that, Wilhelmina.â
Mia understood the situation now. Her sixth sense told her that Wilhelmina had a crush on Felix.
âCome to my office, Mia,â Felix said.
Mia nodded. She didnât say anything else.
Wilhelmina watched as they went to Felixâs office. Then, she pulled out her phone to make a call,
sounding sycophantic as she said, âHi, is this Ms. Barrett? This is Wilhelmina Jones. Do you still
remember me? We exchanged numbers at the awards ceremony last night.â
âYouâre that second-place winner, arenât you? What is this about?â
Shelly had just woken up. Sheâd thought Wilhelmina was Zoe but had turned out to be wrong.
Surprisingly enough, Mia was actually Zoe.
This had put Shelly in such a bad mood that she hadnât even had fun when partying last night. How
could someone as plain and dull as Mia be Zoe?
Wilhelmina didnât get mad at Shellyâs haughty tone. âAre you familiar with Mia Bowen, Ms. Barrett?â
Shelly perked up at the mention of Mia. âWhat are you trying to say?â
