Chapter 657
Meet My Brothers
Mia and Ginger showered.
Mia was hugging Ginger. âWere you afraid when you sneaked out?â
âNope I brought all my weapons.â Ginger began describing how she taught Calebâthat bad guyâand
that bad woman a lesson vividly.
Miaâs mood got better because of the story. She knew Ginger very well.
Similar to Mia, Ginger was never the one to tolerate something.
Mia gently stroked Gingerâs head, âWhere did you sleep last night?â
âI slept with Mister and that bad guy. I wet the sheets when I wok embarrassed when she mentioned
that.
up.â Ginger was quite
She covered her face, her voice muffled as she asked, âMommy, why do I still wet the sheets? Iâm
already a grownâup.â
âYouâre still a kid. Once you become an adult, you wonât do that anymore. Still, I have to admit that
youâve grown up a lot.â Miaâs finger traced Gingerâs ear. âGinger, Mister is good friends with Caleb.
Doesnât it bother you?â
âThat works for me. That bad guy must treat you with respect when you
date Mister.â
A giggle rose to Miaâs throat. âWhat if Mr. Barrett has a girlfriend or a wife? Have you never thought
about it?â
Ginger paused momentarily, her mood deflated. âIf so, thereâs nothing we can do then.â
âI was joking. Iâve asked him. Heâs single at the moment.â
Ginger brightened at that. âMommy, you gotta try harder with your test.
The corner of Miaâs lips twitched. The test wasnât the problem.
The problem was that Timothy was different from other men. If it were for other men, they wouldâve
agreed to be with her.
However, Timothy turned her down immediately and gave her a promise in exchange.
Still, a part of her wasnât willing to give up. âGinger, do you have Mr. Barrettâs contact number?â
âI do. I have it on my smartwatch.â
âAsk him out for breakfast tomorrow morning.â
âMe?â Questions seemed to fill Gingerâs eyes.
Mia smiled faintly. âJust do as I say.â
A sleepy Ginger promised before slipping into dreamland with a sweet smile. Her hunch was telling her
that Timothy could be her father.
Ginger woke Mia up the next day. âMommy, wake up.
âLet me sleep in longer.â
âMommy, weâre getting late. Iâve asked Mister out for breakfast. Get up!â
Only then did Mia prop herself up while yawning. She glanced at Ginger. âLetâs go wash ourselves up.â
Mia began to regret her decision. Why breakfast and not lunch?
They washed up and got changed before heading to the restaurant in the hotel.
It was still early, so it wasnât crowded.
They entered the restaurant. Miaâs eyes scanned the area, but Timothy wasnât there.
It seemed like he hadnât come yet.
Yawning, Mia looked at Ginger. âTake whatever you want to have.â
Then, she sat down to take a break. Had it not for Ginger, Mia wouldnât have woken up this
early.
Holding a plate, Ginger looked at the breakfast spread to pick her choice. Her eyes kept darting toward
the door at times.
Not long after, Timothy trod into the restaurant.
Ginger waved happily. âTim, over here!â
He finally heard her when he drew closer. Ginger, in a dress, stood on her toes and waved at him. She
was adorable, like a puppy.
Smiling, he came up to her. âAre you here alone?â
