Chapter 660
Meet My Brothers
Miaâs innocent tone only served to infuriate Luna.
âThe floor isnât slippery. You did that on purpose!â Lunaâs resolve didnât waver as she refused to
concede.
Quickly, Mia signaled to the restaurant manager. âThe floor is too slippery, and I almost slipped. Please
clarify the situation to this lady over here.â
The manager addressed Luna promptly. âApologies, the humidity is high due to the recent rain. Let me
arrange for a doctor for you, Ms. Maynard. Weâll take full responsibility.â
Luna was rendered speechless, not expecting the restaurant manager to take it upon himself so
quickly. Left with no choice, she gave up.
Mia flashed a meaningful smile at Luna. âMs. Maynard, you should hurry to the doctor. It would be a
shame if it left a scar on you.â
Lunaâs gaze involuntarily shifted to Timothy. It was as if she hoped for him to speak up for
her.
âGo to the doctor,â his voice was flat.
The hope in her eyes faded.
Luna felt that Timothy had neglected her since Monalize entered their lives. If before, he would surely
stand up for her without hesitation.
Standing next to Timothy, Mia waved at Luna. âBye.â
Luna gritted her teeth so hard that they threatened to shatter. Initially planning a pitiful act, she found
Mia had outsmarted her.
A flicker of amusement danced in Miaâs eyes at Lunaâs fuming expression. Luna had it coming for her.
âAre you happy now?â
Upon hearing that, Mia shifted her gaze toward Timothy. âWhatâs that supposed to mean, Mr. Barrett? I
almost went flying a moment ago, you know! I was so scared.
Timothy didnât expose her.
One thing was undeniableâthis woman resembled nothing like Mia Bowen other than looks!
By the time Mia took her food and returned to the table, Ginger and Caleb were playing something.
Ginger lifted her head. âMommy, youâre back.â
Mia merely spared Caleb a glance before checking Gingerâs plate. âGood girl. You finished them all.â
A guilty smile plastered on Gingerâs face. âMommy, Iâm going to the playground with the bad guy. Have
fun with Mister!â
Mia understood what Ginger was up to. The latter was trying to give them personal space.
Miaâs eye stayed on Caleb for a second. âGinger, are you sure?â
âYes, Iâll behave.â
Caleb spoke up, âThe bodyguard and I will look after her.â
âOkay. If she returns with even a single strand of hair out of place, Iâll come for your head.â
âYou have my word.â
Caleb quickly took Ginger out of the restaurant before texting Timothy secretly. The text read, âTim, Iâm
risking my life to create an opportunity for you. Donât let it go to waste!â
Meanwhile, Mia didnât like that Ginger was hanging out with Caleb.
Timothy said, âConsidering everything, they should spend some time together.â
She answered coldly, âThereâs no need for that.â
âMs. Monalize, since when do you know Caleb?â
Mia rested her chin on her hand, her arm propped up on the table as she looked at him. âAre you trying
to pry information out of me? Because I have a question for you too. Is there a woman who you still
hold dear to your heart?â
