Chapter 665
Meet My Brothers
Mia was flabbergasted. âWhat do you mean?â
Timothy did tell her that she resembled his exâwife. She had thought it was a mere coincidence!
âMs. Monalize, you really got the wrong person. Has it ever crossed your mind that Timothy is actually
your exâhusband?â
âThatâs impossible!â she exclaimed.
That couldnât be right. Mia heard Dominic mention Caleb being her ex. Timothyâs remark about the
resemblance must have been a flimsy attempt at deflection. Mia never trusted his word anyway.
She glanced over at Caleb hesitantly. âI donât believe you. Unless you have photos as proof.â
Mia had scoured the internet earlier, desperate to find a picture of Timothyâs exâwife. However, her
endeavor yielded nothing but a frustrating gallery of nonâmatchesâthe lack of a visual confirmation
gnawed at her.
The lack of an online trace of Timothyâs exâwife, a woman who once held a prominent position as part
of the Barrett family, set alarm bells ringing in Miaâs head. This complete digital wipeout was eerily
strange.
âWait. Iâll show you the photos.â
Caleb whisked his phone out, attempting to find a picture of Mia. However, despite scrolling through the
end of the gallery, he couldnât find even a single picture of Mia.
Well, this was awkward.
Miaâs marriage to Timothy four years ago was meant to turn his fate around. Unfortunately, his family
never fully embraced her as his wife. As such, Caleb had never been close to Mia, so he had none of
her photos.
She chanced a glance at him. âCanât find the photos?â
Caleb sheepishly explained, âI changed my phone, so I lost all the previous photos.â
âYou mustâve posted on social media before, right? Donât you even have a group photo?â He was
rendered speechless. She got him right there.
+1B BONUS
Mia and Timothy tied the knot clandestinely, so they had never been publicly seen together, let alone
taken a group photo.
Mia raised an eyebrow. âHow about the wedding photos? You gotta at least have those, donât you?â
Caleb was at a loss for words. âNâNo, I donât.â
âWhat? They donât even have a wedding photo? Did they even get married at all?â Mia thought the
situation was snowballing fast.
Sweating profusely, Caleb replied, âThey were married, but they didnât take a wedding photo for certain
reasons.â
âWas it because the Barretts were upset with Mrs. Barrettâs status? Being a commoner, perhaps they
didnât consider a wedding photo necessary. Rather than embracing her, itâs more like theyâre ashamed
of her. Thatâs why there are no records of photos taken in public, right?â
Miaâs brusque manner rendered Caleb speechless. After a moment of hesitation, he warily said, âIf
youâre still mad because of what happened, actually-â
âWait!â The way Caleb stared at Mia, as if she were truly Timothyâs exâwife, was unsettling. She
continued disdainfully, âAre you seriously assuming that Iâm Mr. Barrettâs exâwife, and you think Iâm just
pretending not to recognize all of you?â
Caleb nodded solemnly.
Mia was dumbfounded. âLook, doppelgangers exist, you know! Iâm not that poor Mrs. Barrett! My
temperament wouldnât tolerate that kind of treatment for a second! If I were treated as such, I swear to
God, heâll regret it deeply!â
Caleb faltered. When he recalled her fiery temper, he knew she was more than capable of following
through on her threat.
Caleb had to admit that apart from their looks, she was very different from Mia.
