Chapter 770
Meet My Brothers
Mia and Calebâstood side by side, waiting for the elevator together. When the doors slid open, they
were taken aback to see Luna seated in a wheelchair.
The atmosphere instantly grew tense.
Caleb cleared his throat, startled by Lunaâs unexpected presence. âLuna, what brings you here?â
âI heard thereâs a renowned orthopedic surgeon here, so I thought Iâd come and see for myself. Thatâs
when I ran into Timâs secretary and learned about his hospitalization.â
Luna maintained a subtle smile, seemingly unfazed by the recent events at Aide
Castle.
Mia couldnât help but admire Lunaâs boldness. She certainly was shameless.
Standing outside the elevator, Mia exchanged a glance with Caleb before stating, âI think Iâll wait here
for a bit longer.â
Caleb rubbed his nose, momentarily unsure of what to say. Who would have imagined encountering
Luna here of all places?
Suddenly, Luna broke the silence. âMs. Monalize, is Ginger still sick?â
Miaâs gaze turned cold. Without acknowledging Lunaâs question, she turned away and walked off.
The elevator doors closed behind her.
Turning to Luna, Caleb asked, âLuna, howâs your leg holding up? You know Shelly has always been
bossy since childhood. Why would you intentionally provoke her?â
âCaleb, Iâve tolerated Shelly for many years, but Iâve reached my limit,â Luna replied.
As she glanced down at her injured leg, her resentment toward Shelly intensified. She was determined
not to let Shelly off the hook next time.

Looking up, Luna deliberately inquired, âCaleb, why is Tim suddenly in the hospital? Is he ill?â
âIâm not entirely sure. I only just found out about it myself,â Caleb replied cautiously.
He decided it would be best to avoid mentioning the matter to prevent unnecessary complications.
Luna sensed Calebâs evasiveness, but she decided not to press further. After all, she was already
aware that Timothy was hospitalized to donate his bone marrow. to Ginger.
With a façade of concern, Luna approached Timothyâs hospital room. âTim, are you feeling sick? Why
didnât you let anyone know you were here?â
Timothyâs gaze turned cold as he glanced at Caleb, clearly displeased.
Caleb swiftly clarified, âIt wasnât my doing. We just happened to meet in the elevator.â
âTim, itâs not ideal for you to stay in the hospital without anyone taking care of you. Hospital food isnât
as hygienic as homeâcooked meals. How about I bring you food every day?â
Setting aside his iPad, Timothy met Lunaâs gaze. âDonât you have anything better to do? How are you
still able to move around in a wheelchair?â
Lunaâs expression wavered briefly. âTim, donât worry about me. Using a wheelchair isnât a major issue.â
âIt seems like your injury isnât as severe as Shellyâs. Sheâs still confined to bed.â
Lunaâs demeanor shifted abruptly, and she rushed to clarify, âShelly is just pretending to avoid taking
responsibility. But I wonât press the matter. I merely mentioned it to startle her. Weâre family, after all.â
Timothy frowned in response. âInstead of bringing me food, why donât you focus. on addressing Asherâs
behavior? Iâve heard heâs been getting into fights and bullying others at kindergarten.â
âBut Tim, itâs normal for children to have minor scuffles at school.â
Timothyâs face turned grim. âLuna, do I need to remind you once more that youâre only allowed to
remain in the Barrett family because of Asher?â
Bowing her head, Luna replied, âI get it. Iâm just here at the hospital to see the doctor.â
âDo you reckon a private hospital would offer better conditions than this? Cut the act. You can leave;
thereâs no reason for you to stick around.â
With tears brimming in her eyes, Luna exited the ward. Caleb observed quietly from the sidelines. It
seemed that Luna wasnât as innocent as she appeared on
the surface.
Once Luna departed, Caleb finally voiced his thoughts, âI had a feeling there had to be more to Lunaâs
sudden appearance at the public hospital. Tim, do your reckon she stumbled upon something?â
