Chapter 778
Meet My Brothers
Mia paused, collecting her thoughts before replying, âWell, the truth is, Ginger doesnât have a father.
And there are always gossiping individuals around.
âBut Ginger is not deprived of love, and she doesnât let these things affect her. She couldnât care less
whether she has a dad or not.â
Timothy was deeply stung by Miaâs words. Having experienced the loss of his own father many years
ago, he could empathize with the potential for hurtful situations surrounding Ginger.
With a hint of guilt, he replied, âNo one will dare to speak ill of Ginger in the future.â
Mia couldnât help but smirk. âEven your mother?â
Timothy frowned in response. âOnce she wakes up, Iâll arrange for someone to escort her out of this
hospital.â
Upon hearing Timothyâs reassuring words, Mia felt relieved. As long as Sharon didnât cause any trouble
during the bone marrow donation tomorrow, everything would proceed smoothly.
After a moment of silence, Mia suggested, âPerhaps you should go and get some rest. I wonât keep you
any longer.â
âAre you really going to leave so abruptly?â Tim asked suddenly.
Mia turned back with a smile. âUm, is there something else?â
âCould you do me a favor?â Timothy asked as he lay on the bed, the needle still lingering in
the back of his hand.
Seeing Timothy struggle to sit up, Mia hurried over to assist him. âWhat do
you
need?
Would you like some water?â
Timothy pursed his lips. âI need to use the restroom.â
Mia coughed nervously as she helped Timothy, taking his arm over her shoulder. His weight pressed
down heavily on her, nearly causing her to stumble.
Timothy was much heavier than she expected!
Summoning her strength, Mia walked Timothy to the restroom, feeling exhausted quickly.â Can you
manage on your own from here, or should I fetch Heath or call a nurse?â
âPlease donât! I can handle going to the restroom by myself,â Timothy quickly declined.
Mia couldnât help but smile at Timothyâs stubbornness. She found it unexpectedly endearing to witness
this side of him.
Timothy lowered his gaze and asked softly, âAre you laughing at me?â
âNo, no, not at all!â
Mia immediately straightened up, but in the next moment, Timothy pressed down on her shoulder.
âIf thatâs the case, maybe you could assist me all the way.â
Mia was puzzled by his request. What did he mean by that?
However, she soon noticed Timothy reaching for his pants out of the corner of her eye. Reacting
quickly, she exclaimed, âWhat are you doing?â
Timothyâs hand paused as he nonchalantly remarked, âJust going to use the restroom.â
âWhy are you asking me to stay here while you go to the restroom? Youâre being weird!â
âI canât stand steadily. I need someone to support me.â
âThen let me go find someone to help you.â
âNo, itâs too late for that.â
Mia could only avert her gaze, feeling embarrassed. Timothyâs firm grip on her shoulder prevented her
from moving away, leaving her with no choice but to stay put.
If it werenât for the fact that Timothy was going to donate his bone marrow for Ginger, she would have
pushed him away long ago..
Despite Miaâs discomfort, she could only endure the situation for now.
Timothy seemed too embarrassed to ask for a nurse or Heathâs help, which was why he had requested
Mia to stay beside him.
Soon, the sound of splashing reached Miaâs ears, intensifying her awkwardness.
It was the first time she had ever heard sounds of Timothy using the restroom, making it a
truly unique experience.
Shortly after, the sound stopped, replaced by the rustling of clothes.
Miaâs ears gradually turned red. âAre you finished?â
Timothy murmured, âMmâhmm.â
Feeling his hand return to her shoulder, Mia blurted out, âWait, you havenât washed your hands, have
you?â
Timothy hesitated before admitting, âWell, I didnât wash this one!â
Just then, the restroom door swung open.
