Chapter 13

It had been 6 months since they found out that Bakugo was the father. He and Izuku weren't married, due to the fact that Bakugo wanted to wait until he finished college first. Miyuki was already walking. Midoriya's main goal was to train again so he can use his quirk properly, as well as figuring out what his daughter's quirk is. He knew that Todoroki was the real father, and hoped that the quirk was related to his fire half so that it was still similar to Bakugo's explosions.

One night, while Midoriya was training in the snow, and Bakugo was home, he noticed something was wrong with Miyuki. He knew she had a cold, but this was far worse than that. She looked blue and felt cold to the touch. Bakugo should have told Izuku first, but didn't want to interrupt his training. So he took Miyuki to the hospital by himself.

When he arrived, the doctors took her away immediately, saying it was life threatening. Bakugo began to panic, his little girl could die. He gave Izuku a call, who didn't answer. He called Mrs. Midoriya, and he left a message. He then called Todoroki and told him to find Izuku. When all his calls were made, the doctor call him into the room.

"She was struggling with hypothermia." The

Doctor said.

"That's impossible! We had the heaters up all day, put her in some flannel and gave her lots of blankets." Bakugo was starting to get irritated. He made a promise to Izuku not to explode in front of their daughter, but it was so hard to hold it back this time.

"No, it's not from the normal way of getting hypothermia. She received it in reaction of starting her quirk. We did the x-ray already to prove it. She is a little early though. Congratulations!" She told Bakugo.

Bakugo looked at her wide eyed. "Is there anything that you can give her to stop the hypothermia?"

"Since it is quirk related, and it's too early to tell how the quirk works, we can't do anything. Just try to keep her warm and if she worsens, bring her back."

Bakugo grabbed Miyuki and exited the building.

A quirk to give her hypothermia? Does that mean...

He places Miyuki into the car seat and drives home.

I need to do some research.

Over the 2 months, Bakugo went to class and researched possible quirks for Miyuki while at his dorm room. He then researched Todoroki. On the few nights he would make it home, he came late and would sleep on the couch, always giving the excuse: I didn't want to wake you.

The fact that Todoroki was still around was proof enough that Miyuki wasn't his real daughter, but actually Todoroki's. Once he figured it out, he simply focused on his studies.

Finally, the time came for Bakugo to graduate. His parents, Mrs. Midoriya, Izuku, and Miyuki attended. As soon as Bakugo received his degree, he shook a few hands, and headed back to his seat.

When it came to the time to leave, Bakugo was nowhere to be found.

A few days had passed and no signs of Bakugo turned up. Izuku began to believe it was his fault, and started being depressed. His mother, however, tried to cheer him up.

"I know you think this is your fault, and you're probably right." She started. "But, this was still a learning experience for everyone. Lie to a friend, and they will be mad. Lie to a lover and they'll disappear."

"I just..." Izuku started to cry. "I just didn't expect him to leave me. I thought he'd yell at me and come back later. But he is gone for good. He hasn't even called his parents. They're worried. And they hate me too."

"It's okay. They will forgive you someday. It might take a while, but that's what makes us adults."

"But what about Miyuki? She won't have a father to raise her. And I don't even know how I could tell Shoto about this. He would end up hating me too."

She pulls her son in closer. "Listen, Izuku. I already told Shoto the truth. I told him the same day you found out. That's why he is still looking out for you and your daughter. It's because he loves you and his girl. He would never hate you, I promise you that."

"You told him?! Why would you do that?"

"Because he needed to know the truth. He was heart broken. He finally had meaning in his life and he was told it was taken from him." She explained. "Besides, the meaning of Miyuki means 'snow' and I thought he should know that. Not only that, her quirk so far is showing it's related to the cold."

"Then, since he already knows..." Izuku takes the chance to calm down. "Can you call him over, please?"

"Sure thing sweetie!"

It took Todoroki about an hour to get there, but it was as soon as he possibly could. He was nervous, but happy. He rang the doorbell and Izuku answered. It was obvious that he was crying, but not anymore. Shoto dropped the bag in his hand and took Izuku into his arms.
