Bakugo's Side part 2

One Night = New Life

The next morning, Bakugo woke up with a scream. He already forgot where he was, until Kirishima ran in, barely covered, and jogging his memory again.

"Sorry." Bakugo said, scratching his head. "I forgot I was here."

"No problem!" Kirishima responded with a sleepy smile. "Do you want breakfast?"

"Sure. I'll buy."

"I could have cook-."

Bakugo cut him off. "It's fine. I owe you for letting me stay and I should probably get some air while I'm at it."

The two men got ready and took the train nearby to a breakfast bar a few stops away. It was a place Kirishima usually stopped at on his way to the agency. The two got a table outside and waited for the food to arrive.

"So, what are you going to do now?" Kirishima asked.

"I don't know."

"I don't mind if you stay for a while, so don't worry about that." Kirishima explained, before being hesitant to ask. "Why don't you come work for the same agency as me?"

Bakugo looked over at him. "As great as that sounds, I doubt they would let me join."

"Why?"

"Because I abandoned my last agency."

"When was the last time you were there? Or at least talked to them?"

"I don't know." Bakugo slumped in his seat. "Friday, I guess."

"Bakugo, it's only Tuesday. I'm sure you didn't go yesterday because of your graduation, so they would be fine with that. You can come with me after breakfast to my agency and we can get the transfer paperwork set up." Kirishima responded confidently. "What do you say? Wanna work with me?"

Bakugo smirked. "Hell yes! We would make an awesome team. As long as I get approved for the transfer, then I can stay with you for another week before finding my own place. Heck, we could be neighbors." Bakugo's spirit finally lifted at the thought.

Kirishima, however, realized something. Bakugo would leave.

The rest of the afternoon went by smoothly. The transfer papers were sent and approved. They had to do a test with Bakugo to rank him into the agency. Once that was over, Kirishima walked Bakugo back to the apartment to find Mina on the couch. The three chatted a while before Bakugo made his way to bed.

"Can we talk?" Kirishima asked.

"Sure." Mina responded, leading the way to the back patio.

"Today, Bakugo mentioned leaving," Kirishima continued, "and I couldn't help but feel sad about it. I finally got to see him smile again, after all this time."

"You still love him, don't you?"

Kirishima was surprised at the allegation. "I....... I don't know..... Maybe......" He cleared his throat. "But we're engaged. I shouldn't be feeling that."

"Listen, I know how you felt about him at UA. And even then, when I asked you to help me, I knew I wasn't a replacement for that love. You love Katsuki, don't deny that." Mina just looked out on the city, responding in a quiet monotone voice instead of her usual peppy one. "You should be with him, not me."

Kirishima looked to the city as well. "Okay. But we are still engaged. We are getting married next month, and if we split now both of our parents will be heart broken."

"Then if that's what worries you, we can still go through with the wedding." Mina looks up at Kirishima. "Like I said before, all I want from you is a kid. And marriage is just a piece of paper. It doesn't mean your heart has to be chained to me."

Kirishima looked back at her. "You would do that for me? Are you sure?"

"Whether we're hitched or not, we're still friends. Of course I would do that for you." Mina responded. "I want you to be happy, even if it's not with me."

Kirishima nodded, and smirked. "Thanks Mina. You are the best person I've ever met. If only I liked woman, maybe it would have been you I fell in love with." Kirishima then headed back inside, to get enough sleep for work in the morning.

Mina, however, stayed outside for a few more minutes. Why am I too nice? I just gave away a great guy. Just at the thought, she locked up and headed home.

Later that evening:

At the agency: (the one Kirishima and Bakugo work at):

"Report." The hero said into the video chat.

The video showed a familiar face, one of the hero's sidekicks, who was currently undercover. "Sir, they are planning a huge attack soon. The league will strike in north Tokyo this coming Friday. You need to get all the agencies informed ASAP. The LOV plans on using some big time villains, and an army of Nomu."

"Thanks for the report. I will notify every agency in the area immediately. Please, don't get yourself killed. I will send some heroes to you tomorrow."

"No, I can wait until Friday. If I leave now, then they might move up the attack."

The hero agreed. "Understood. Goodbye."

The video became disconnected, and the undercover sidekick's skin began to melt away, leaving none other than Toga Himiko, grinning over the little trick she did.

A few days had passed and Kirishima and Bakugo had Friday off. The two were sitting at a cafe, looking across the city of Kyoto.

"I wanted to blow some LOV heads off today!" Bakugo verbally exploded. "Why is your boss stupid?"

"He's your boss now, too, you know." Kirishima responded. "I understand how you feel but the boss sent most of the agency up to Tokyo to assist in the planned attack. But he wasn't dumb enough to send everyone. He left us and squad b here just in case, even if we 'have the day off.'"

"Well I don't want to just sit around." Bakugo was still irritated. "Is there anything we can do?"

"Once we finish our food, I wanted to discuss something with you." Kirishima started to blush, uncontrollably based on what he had in mind.

Bakugo looked at him and didn't notice. "Spill it. Why wait?"

"Ba-." Kirishima restarted. "Katsuki, I know how you feel about what's happened to you recently, and I know this isn't that much of a solution. But, after talking with Mina, I confirmed it."

"Confirmed what exactly?!" Bakugo was impatient and beyond. "Just say it, damn it!"

"Katsuki, I still love you. I fell in love with you at UA and I did it agai-."

Just as Kirishima was confessing his whole heart, in the distance was a blast, which they soon felt as it came their way.

(A/N: dun dun DUN! Ok, of course I'm gonna make that suspenseful and make y'all wait another chapter. Sorry. And thanks for reading! - e/n).
