Bakugo's Side part 3

There was still ringing in his ears as Bakugo opened his eyes. The lights were bright and he was laying face down on the ground. Bakugo lifted his head slowly, and noticed the debris around him. The roof and some walls of the cafe were gone. He turned his head the other direction to find Kirishima standing with hardened skin, protecting a nearby couple.

As the dust settled, Kirishima checked on the civilians before coming over to help Bakugo off the ground. They both stood, looking in the distance, at the destruction the blast had caused.

They realized the information given was wrong. Realizing this, the notices a hero already fighting where the blast came from.

"Isn't that Hawks?" Bakugo asked.

"Yeah." Kirishima responded. "I wonder why he is this far east."

"Who cares. At least we got a big shot helping us." Bakugo said. "Let's go and help."

It took them about 2 minutes to get there, thanks to Bakugo's blasts. Along the way, they saw squad B from the agency already rescuing people. Once they landed, they took in the scene before them.

The center of the blast sight was about 8 blocks of rubble. No buildings stood in the center. They looked up to find Hawks fighting with a flying villain.

"It looks like 6 to 3." Bakugo said, punching his knuckles, making a small blast.

"No, wait," Kirishima grabbed Bakugo by the shoulder. "Who's that?"

He was pointing to a man standing near the center of the blast. He was wearing dark clothing and a mask to cover his face.

"Must be the leader." Bakugo stated. "I'll blow him to pieces."

Just then, Hawks knocked out the flying villain, and he fell from the sky towards the mysterious figure. Once he was close enough, the figure raised his arm and blasted an inferno, engulfing the villain in flames.

"Okay." Kirishima said. "It looks like 5 to 4. He must be a new hero. Probably works at Hawks' agency."

"I like those odds better." Bakugo then began to shout. "Hawks, we came to assist! Villains, come and get me!!!"

Hawks waved before pointing to the distance, where two villains were trying to run off with a large safe.

They made their way to the villains. Bakugo grabbed one of them and threw him near a wall by Kirishima. He then faced the second one and aimed for a blast.

"See you in hell you piece of crap!!!"

Before he could blast, the villain used his quirk, which came in the form of vines coming from his back. The vines were quick and wrapped around Bakugo's arms. The oncoming blast automatically defused.

"WHAT THE HELL!?!?" Bakugo shouted. "My quirk stopped working." He saw that the villain was smirking at him. "Let me go you MAGGOT!!!"

The villain spoke in an earbud, probably to the other villains. "The Target is captured. Retreat."

Before Bakugo could respond, the villain took the chance to knock Bakugo out. At the same time, Kirishima beat the villain he was fighting, and turned to see Bakugo unconscious.

Kirishima runs over and grabs the villain by his vines. "I won't let you take him from me!"

The villain smirked again and started to laugh. Just then, another villain from above, crashed down on top of him, killing his own partner. The mass of this guy shook the ground, knocking Kirishima back.

Kirishima looked up to find the villain run off with Bakugo.

Kirishima sat there for a minute, unable to do anything. The amount of information he had to process was too much for him to handle. The blast probably caused hundreds of casualties. The fact that the information they received was wrong. And the stress of confessing his love to Bakugo, who was now gone.

Kirishima just then heard a phone ring. He looked through the rubble and found a familiar cellphone, belonging to Bakugo. By the time it was in his hands, the ringing had stopped and a ping sounded for the voicemail left behind. He opened it and listened.

Voicemail:

"Hi there Mr. Bakugo, my name is Hina, a nurse at North Central Hospital. Ms. Yaoyorozu asked me to call you to let you know that she is going into labor. We hope to see you here soon. Thank you!"

End voicemail.

Kirishima hung up the phone. He was completely numb at this point. He began to think of things he could have done. I could have kissed him before we got here. I'm sure that alone would have fueled Bakugo's anger enough to fight a little more.

Hawks and the other hero made their way over, after finishing with the other villains. "What happened here?"

"That huge villain got away with Bakugo." Kirishima replied. "The other villain said he was the target."

Hawk and Dabi helped Kirishima up. "Hey, kid. Don't worry. We will get him back." Hawks began. "I won't let another hero die because of my failures. My sidekick here knows how to track the League of Villains pretty easily."

"This wasn't the LOV." Dabi pitched in. "If anything they hired these guys to destroy Kyoto while the main attack was in Tokyo."

"Whoever they are, we will get him back from him. The rescue heroes are here so you can go home and get some rest. Don't do anything rash." Hawks said as he pat Kirishima on the back.

Kirishima thanks them, and walks back to his car, which luckily wasn't damaged. He then drives to Bakugo's mother's house. By then, it was made on the news about the attack and that Bakugo was missing.

He knocked on the door, which swung open immediately. Mrs. Bakugo answered, "oh, Kirishima, it's been years. Come on in."

"Yes I know." Kirishima started. "I'm assuming you already heard. I was there when he was taken. But I thought you would want this back. He dropped it in battle." Kirishima hands over the now dead cellphone.

"Thank you." She responded.

"I will get him back for you." Kirishima said. "Alive. I swear on it."

She bowed her head. "I know you will. I know that you meant a lot to my son, so I believe you will find him for me. Thank you!"
