Bakugo's side part 5

One Night = New Life

(A/N- I apologize in advance, there is a lot of passing time in this chapter and I'm terrible at transitions so bare with me. Thanks for the read and enjoy! -e/n).

(Also- VIOLENCE WARNING)

Dabi kicks in door and lights his flames at a goon. The poor guy didn't have a chance to defend from the surprise attack and was now unconscious. As another villain ran towards him, Toga jumped on Dabi's back, saying stuff about blood while riding him like a backpack.

Dabi landed a flaming punch on the guy, knocking him far enough back to give Dabi room to detach Toga and throw her behind the bar, slamming against the wall of alcohol bottles.

The other villain finally was in arms reach of Dabi, but instead of using his flames, he kicked the guy in the nuts unexpectedly, causing him to crumble to the floor. Dabi looked and saw shiggy was still not around and headed down the hallway.

Dabi came up to the door and slammed it open, not giving the torturer enough time to react. Dabi grabbed the taser stick from him and kicked the back of his knee, causing him to collapse to the floor. Dabi then used the taser to shock him many times, until he was satisfied. "I've always liked tasers."

He then walked to where Bakugo hung and melted his chains one by one. Since Bakugo couldn't stand on his own, Dabi had to carry him out. Once he made it out to the street, he saw his son was being bothered by a woman.

"You need to get down from there, boy. Or you'll end up hurt." She said, trying to reach up to get him.

Sorahiko backed away from the edge. "I'm sorry lady, but my dad is a hero and he told me to wait here for him. Plus, I have wings and won't fall."

Dabi butted in. "I'm sorry that it disturbs you that my son is trying to become a responsible young man, but can you leave him alone please?"

She looked over and saw Dabi carrying Bakugo. "Wait, is that the missing hero- uh- BakuBoy from a few years ago?"

"Yes, now can you call a fire department and the police and send them down that alley over there? I over used my quirk and started a fire." Dabi explained. "Come on Sorahiko, we need to get him to the hospital."

Sora flew down and helped get Bakugo in the back seat. Dabi got in the front and started driving. "Do me a favor and call Red-Riot for me. Put him on speaker."

Sora nodded before doing what he was told. He held the phone up as it rang.

"Hello?"

"Kirishima, this is Dabi. We found him. Meet me at North Central Hospital. He's alive but barely."

"Thank you. I'm on my way." Dabi could hear how choked up Kirishima was, even over the phone.

It took them 20 minutes to get to the emergency room. Dabi had already explained about the known torture he went through, but since Bakugo was still unconscious, there were many unanswered questions.

Kirishima finally showed up and found the media already lining up at the front of the hospital. "Hey Dabi, what are we going to do about the media outside?"

"I can make a call to take care of that." Dabi replied, pulling out his phone. "I just happened to know a media-loving bird man who would do anything if I bribed him with chicken." Dabi took a step out of the waiting area, leaving Sorahiko alone with Kirishima.

"How bad is he?" Kirishima couldn't help but ask.

"Dad said he was surprised that he was still alive." Sora explained. "When he found him, he said they were shocking him with a taser."

Kirishima cringed at the thought and tightened his fists.

An hour had passed and Bakugo was finally able to have visits. Kirishima cried at the site, seeing the one he loved all wrapped up in bandages. Shortly after Hawks entered with some good news.

"I took care of the media! At least for an hour or so." Hawks came in all cheerful but corrected it once he read the room. "I gave them a false lead and they are going to interview the head of your agency, Kirishima. In the mean time, we need to move him to a safe and private place."

"You can't move him!" Kirishima objected. "He needs to recover properly and to be watched by professionals."

"Hawks is right." Dabi chimed in. "We can just take him to your place. It's somewhere the media can't disturb him."

"But." Kirishima was cut off by Hawks.

"I can fly him there carefully. As for professional help, didn't Mina take a few Nursing classes in college? And worst case, I know some healers. He would be fine recovering at home."

"Fine then." Kirishima responded.

It didn't take Hawks long to transport Bakugo to Kirishima's house. He used his feathers to carry and stabilize Bakugo during the flight. Hawks landed and had Bakugo hovering next to him when he knocked on the door. It was getting closer to midnight and he was surprised that Mina was still awake when she answered.

"Oh hey Hawks! How can I hel-." Mina's sentence stopped short when she saw Bakugo's floating body. She moved out of the way and opened the door wider. "Come on in. You can set him upstairs, first door on the right."

"Thank you, Mina." Hawks said as he continued. "I would have thought that Kirishima would have called you."

"Nope. I got nothing." Mina responded.

After Hawks came and went, Kirishima finally came home. "How is he?"

"Still unconscious." Mina responded as she closed the door. She turned to find Kirishima already up the stairs. She couldn't help but think negatively. Great, now that they found him, I'm alone again.

She sluggishly followed after him.

When she entered the room, she saw Kirishima kneeling by the bed with Bakugo's hand in his. "You can go to bed without me. I'm going to stay in here tonight."

The next morning, around 6 am, Bakugo began to stir. He heard laughter, in particular, children's laughter. It was so out of place from the usual noises and found it annoying. Worried it was his insanity, he shook his wrist a little, but still felt the cuffs on.

Curious, he opened his eyes to find an unfamiliar ceiling. He looked down to find himself laying in a bed, under blankets. Oh the sheets feel good. I've missed sheets. He then looked over to find Kirishima leaning against the bed, his hand tightly grasping his wrist.

It took Bakugo a moment to realize he wasn't dreaming. He was finally free. At that he tried to sit up but was met with an awful pain everywhere.

The sudden pull woke Kirishima up from his slumber. He looked up to find Bakugo's red eyes staring back at him. "Katsuki!!!! You're awake!!!"

He got up and hugged him.

"Ow ow ow DAMNIT!" Bakugo responded. "That hurts my shoulders."

"I'm sorry."

"Where am I?" Bakugo asked, still confused. "And am I insane or do you hear children's laughter?"

"You're at my place. And those would be my kids." Kirishima responded. "I didn't expect you to be awake this early. Dabi rescued you yesterday afternoon, took you to the hospital, and Hawks carried you here to avoid the press."

"Hold up." Bakugo had to let the information process. "Dabi, the villain who died years ago? And what do you mean by 'children?'"

Kirishima sighed. "I can explain everything about Dabi later. But he is on our side now. As for my children, I promised Mina I would give her a child and we ended up with twins." Kirishima observed Katsuki's face go even more blank. "Anyways, do you need anything right now?"

"Go get my phone. I assume I left it behind?" Bakugo responded. "I need to make a few calls."

"Yeah no problem." Kirishima got up and headed for the door.

(A/N- well at least Bakugo isn't dead lol hope y'all enjoyed this chapter. I'll see you in the next one. Thanks for reading! -e/n).
