"Prove me what?"

All eyes are on the one who speaks behind me. I turned around and saw the stunningly handsome

man I ever laid my eyes on except for the King, of course.

"You must be Alpha Duren?" I asked.

"I'm flattered that you already know my name." he looked at Lily. "Lily, is she the one you're talking

about?"

"Yes, Alpha Duren” Lily answered.

"What is your name rogue?" He asked.

"I'm Katharina Omnirous, a former member of Omnirous Pack."

He looks surprised at my words.

"Are you related to Alpha Ramus Omnirous?" He asks.

"He is my Dad."

"Well, well, well ..... What makes you leave your pack and decide to join mine?"

"It's a conflict between Alpha Ramus and me,” I said.

"I hope you don't mind, but what if accepting you will bring problems to my pack because you

conflicted with your Dad." He explained

"Don’t worry, we have an agreement. We both need to leave each other because we suffocate each

other's lives." I said.

"Hmmmmmm..... okay, I will give you a chance, since you're willing to join my pack and become my

fighter.” He said. I almost laughed and hugged him because of my happiness until he said the words

that made me nervous, "but you need to defeat my three best rogue fighters tomorrow or else you

will become rogues like them.” He said before leaving me surprised by his words.

"Hey Kath, are you alright?" Tom

"Who is the best fighter in here?" I asked him.

"It's Arman, Lukas, and Lily." He said.

"Oh my gosh! I need to fight Lily too.” I said. I didn’t expect her to be one of his best fighters here.

"Don’t worry too much because we know you can beat them. Lily can act defeated by you, so you

need to focus on Arman and Lukas tomorrow.” Bill.

"Don't worry about me Kath, we will be okay. No hard feelings. Just a friendly fight.” Lily.

"Now let's party and be happy. Tomorrow will be a big day. It's not really bad to become rogue as

long as you have a group. It gives us the power over our wolf." Cheska.

"Thank you, guys, for the comforting words. I hope it turns out well tomorrow." I said, setting aside

my fears for tomorrow's fight.

I looked at the sky. The stars are shining so bright. Actually, I want to become a fighter in the castle

for the King, but it's not bad to try this pack.

Zeus Point of view

I look up at the sky and enjoy the quietness of the night.

She's our mate, you need to find her. My wolf said. He became distant from me the day I said to my

mother that I didn't need a mate.

I know that if I find her I will reject her because Father had already settled and planned my wedding

to Loui. It's nothing to me since I don't care who my wife will be. I'm a royal; we don't usually find

our mate because we don't usually go out and we're busy with our duties.

But after my mother found out that I had found her that night, she became excited, she was happy

and I never saw her that way.

I'm conflicted again because of my emotions.

Moon Goddess, what have you done? I'm questioning her once again. I can't be the mate she wants

me to be.

"Zeus, the meeting of the first two packs will be tomorrow. I'm just informing you. The Queen will be

going with us.” Tyler.

"What? She can't do that! She will endanger herself." I said.

"But that's her decision, Zeus. Maybe we should let her. I see how excited she is at this idea.”

"I know. I saw that too. It's like she’s been free from being a prison here.” I said.

"Before I leave, I want to inform you that Loui Missanus has already arrived and she's now in the

dining room waiting for you.” Tyler.

"I'l be there in a minute.”

"Okay," Tyler said before leaving me.

Another problem arrived.

I don't like her even though her beauty and fighting skills are naturally good. His father is our

family's good friend.

She's not my mate. My wolf said.

“I never said that you needed to accept her". I said.

“I'm only reminding you. I'm going to shut myself out if you continue this.". My wolf said.

I don't have time for this argument with my wolf right now, knowing that I only met him last night.

As I set myself on my throne in the middle of the dining room, I saw Loui sitting in the Queen's

chair. I looked at my mother and father sitting on my left.

"Loui, I think you need to exchange seats with my Mother. She's still the Queen of this place,” I said.

"But the King let me sit here,” Loui answered.

I looked at my Father and back to her. "I didn't say that Loui, I am the King now, so you must obey

me. Do not disrespect my mother's position. She's still the queen here until I let someone else,” I

said.

She looks at my Father to ask for help, but my Father knows me too well.

"Come on Loui, you change seats with Eleonora.” My Mother and Loui exchanged their seats "but

after the marriage, you will be sitting on your rightful throne.” His reassuring words made me smirk.

If he only knew what Mother had planned, he would be angry for sure.

"Eleonora, where are you going tomorrow?" Father

"My King and I will visit Gramus and Octavus pack." She answered very well; you cannot see any

hidden agenda in our visits tomorrow.

"For what?" Father was looking very curious.

"For the new King to formally introduce himself to our people and see how big his Kingdom is," she

said.

I love this scene

"But you will endanger yourself outside the Kingdom. It's not going to happen, Eleonora!" Father

said.

"I think we need to set some royalty rules here, Arthur. First, I am still the Queen of the werewolf

world, so you need to call me Queen, not Eleonora. Second, don't raise your voice at me while we

are eating. Third, The King and I will go tomorrow and that's final!" She said before leaving us.

I never saw my mother contradict my father's decision, she always follows and bows down to his

words, but today, everything is changed. I stand and follow my mother.

I saw her in my room standing near the window.

"Mother, what happened there?" I asked.

"It's time for me to stand for myself. I never had a chance to do it a long time ago,” she said.

"Tell me, what's the problem, Mother? I can sense something is wrong" I said.

"Your Father is not my mate. Our marriage was planned by your Grandfather and my father. They're

best friends. I never wanted to become a Queen but I can't go against my parents.” She moves and

sits on my bed. I also sit beside her. I don't know this story. "But before the wedding, my mate saw

me and he grabbed my hands. I feel the bond, connection, everything. I was so happy that day but

my family kept insisting that I needed to marry your father. I tried to escape but before we could

make it, my father killed him. I was so devastated that day and your Father, I know he also doesn't

like me and we are trying to work out our relationship to have an heir to the throne, and you are the

best thing that ever happened to me. That's why I don't want you to make the same mistake I made.

I don't want you to marry that girl because of power. Do not contradict what was planned by the

Moon Goddess and go find your mate.” She touches my face and kisses me on the forehead before

she leaves me with so many thoughts.

All my life, my father treated me and trained me to become the best king for our world. He told me

that people first before heart.

But still...

It's my choice if I want my mate or not.

“And it is also my choice.” My wolf said.
