“Relax baby, you've got nothing to be nervous about"

My delightful husband said whilst trying to relax me as his hand gently stroked over my hip.

“It's not funny, Logan, my grandparents have just told us they'll soon be announcing not only my return to New York but also our marriage

and our children as well and I don't think I'm ready for this"

Inod my head and smile when Logan kisses my forehead.

He says and I smile.

I narrowed my eyes to behind Logan and my heart skipped a nervous beat when I saw Logan's parents graciously walking through the

swallowing my fear and panic, I braced myself to tell Logan.

Logan said as he turned to look at his parents before looking back at me.

Logan grabbed hold of my hand and led us towards the bar area where David and Ruth Black were currently standing.

Iwas feeling nervous and my heart was racing wildly.

I really didn't wanna do this but I knew that this was something that we needed to do and I'd just be preventing the inevitable if we didn’,

besides, I'm already harbouring a lot of guilt for keeping my babies from their father, I don't want that guilt made worse because I've kept

them from what's rightfully theirs.

So, with my babies at the forefront of my mind, like they always are, I suppressed these feelings and put on my strong facade as the space

between myself and the Black patriarch and matriarch got smaller and smaller.

Logan greeted his parents.

David and Ruth Black turned around with huge smiles on their faces as they greeted their son but then a look of shock encased their

features when they saw me.

“I don't blame you, honey and to be honest with you, Lacey love, I always shipped you with a certain someone”

Ruth said whilst not so subtly nodding her head towards a smirking Logan.

“And what's with this Mr Black nonsense? am I no longer your uncle, Lacey?"

David asked sounding hurt and offended but he also looked like he was joking as well.

“Actually dad, we were hoping she could call you something else"

“Oh yeah, like what?"

“Like dad"

Logan said and it felt like my heart had stopped beating at his words.

“Dad?..what do you mean, son?"

David asked as he looked between us.

Logan's smirk got bigger and brighter as he came and stood behind me wrapping one of his arms around my waist in a possessive grip as

his free hand grabbed hold of my left hand and lifted it up to his lips kissing my knuckles.

David looked at us with a confused expression while Ruth was looking at us with a hopeful and excited expression.

“Mom, dad, say hello to your new daughter in law"

Logan said all giddily.

“Wait, what? I don't understand”

“Do you remember that wish I made on a shooting star when I was a kid, mom?”

Logan asks confusing both myself and his dad.

Logan's parents say as they look at Teddy in awe.

Teddy does look a lot like me but I always felt like she looked more like her father because she looks like her brothers who are Logan's

doubles.

Ilooked down to my right when 1 felt someone grab hold of my hand and I wasn't surprised to see Logan Junior standing as close to me as

humanly possible as he looked at his grandparents with scepticism.

“Logan baby, are you ok?"

“Grams needs us, mum, we should go’

He says stoically and I gently stroke his hair.

I'say with a sad smile as I look up at my husband.

“Logan we need to go, my grandparents are waiting for us"

“Can we finish this later, guys? Duke and Bunny need us"

"Of course son but just so you both know, this isn't over with, do you hear me?"
